The Cozy Cottage - Walk to Local Favorites!

Summary:
This early 1900's cottage is perfectly located in the historic Thomas Square neighborhood. It has been recently updated and furnished with a contemporary modern design offering you full comfort while still maintaining its original character.
We are just a few blocks away from some of our favorite local restaurants: Green Truck Pub, Cotton & Rye, The Vault, and more. Free WiFi, Smart TV, Coffee Maker/Coffee, Blow Dryer, Iron/Ironing Board included!

The Space:
Perfect location to walk to some AWESOME local restaurants. A few of my favorite restaurants in all of Savannah are within walking distance to the house and are listed below.

- **Hop Atomica - NEW Brewery! Outdoor seating and awesome bites.
- Green Truck Pub (Awesome Burger joint - all local ingredients and beer!)
- Blowin' Smoke (Modern Mexican/American cantina)
- The Vault (Modern Asian/American)
- Al Salaam Deli (small, casual Mediterranean)

Everything inside the cottage!

The Neighborhood:
Tucked away on local street close to lots of awesome restaurants. A bit on the up and up with lots of remodeling going on around!

Getting Around:
Please park on either Price or Seiler Street as they are directly adjacent to the property. BE SURE to check the street signs as there are street sweepers that come twice a week and you will have to park accordingly.

The easiest way to get around is with UBER/LYFT as it is only a 5 min drive to Bay/River St. but parking is always difficult to find with your own car.

Other Things to Note:
Please park on either Price or Seiler Street as they are directly adjacent to the property. BE SURE to check the street signs as there are street sweepers that come twice a week and you will have to park accordingly.

PET POLICY: We allow dogs only and a maximum of 2. The one-time fee is $100 per pet, which we will need to collect before you check in.

We really enjoy the Starland district and were happy to be close enough for a 10-15 minute walk to some laid-back local spots, or just a few minutes drive/uber to more historic sights of downtown Savannah. The house had everything the two of us needed for a quick weekend getaway. Our bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was stocked with some extra toilet paper and even shower toiletries. I loved that there was an outdoor patio for having coffee or cocktails when the weather is nice, and we had absolutely no issue parking right outside the house. We happily would stay here again next time we visit!

Perfect place for us!

We loved our stay — this place had everything we needed and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Within a short walking distance from several favorite food spots (Sly’s, Bodega Bagels, Foxy Loxy Café, etc) and neighborhood was quiet and walkable. Would definitely stay again!

Very cozy

Perfect Stay

My family and I enjoyed our time at The Cozy Cottage. The home looks just like the photos and the hosts were wonderful. They made sure that we were comfortable during our stay and had everything that we needed. The check-in & check-out process was super easy. We love the location & will definitely be back!

Just as the name suggests

Just as the name suggests, this little place is pretty cozy. Our stay was very quiet and I loved that we were within walking distance of charming little shops and restaurants. Our mini vacation here was just what we were looking for.

Savannah Trip

Property was advertised. A good walk to the heart of Savannah. There is a train that is close by and came by almost daily at 7am.

Was ok. Would not bring my dog even though listing says pet friendly. No place to let dog out. But other than that it was good.

The description in the listing is accurate. The house is, in fact, cozy. The description of an up and coming neighborhood means it is a rough around the edges a bit. But we walked to several of the local restaurants with no issues. As others have said, the beds are comfortable to sleep on. Linens were relatively new, and towels have plenty of life left.A couple of suggestions though. The pans could be in better shape and there needs to be more than 2 forks. Not a big deal if you eat out, but if you cook at all, the limited silverware is an inconvenience.

Comfy and cozy

Overall our stay was very comfy and cozy. We stayed 7 days to visit with daughter at SCAD. House is very clean, conveniently located nearby Forsyth, grocery stores, and downtown. Parking off the street is readily available and neighborhood is quiet with exception of early morning trains going by with horn blaring. The kitchen counters are a bit higher than average. The kitchen could be better stocked with full set of cutlery (there wasnt any more than 2- forks and 2 teaspoons) but plenty of large spoons and butter knives. I like to cook and found the kitchen Needs can opener, cutting board and good set of kitchen knives, though. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming and would stay again.

Good affordable option for Savannah visit

We enjoyed this property very much. It is not close to downtown, but we knew that from the listing. We appreciated the quiet, having stayed right downtown before. We were able to drive downtown and find parking in a garage each time we needed. The beds were comfortable. Street parking by the property was easy. The neighborhood around it was mixed zoning and mixed types of properties. There are railroad tracks one block away and trains with loud horns did come by most mornings around 7 am. We did not mind. We would stay there again.

Meh.

I reached out to the manager through VRBO app and never received a response regarding the checkin process. I admit they sent an email when my booking was confirmed, but it was sent simultaneously with other messages from VRBO and it was lost in the shuffle. When we arrived I was immediately disappointed. The property felt a little classier than a motel 6. All the fixtures, decor and furnishings were made poorly. The neighborhood was close to downtown but there is a train that runs at 630am and it rings a very loud bell. I also fell a couple of time outside because the landscaping isn’t done correctly and if you park next to the stop sign you might trip when getting out of your car. There were also dirty dishes in the cabinet. Every item in the space proves the was little no attention to detail aside from “staging”. I won’t be booking with this company again.

Fantastic Cottage

This cottage is perfect. The place has everything you need and close to everything. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom was big enough for 4 ladies to get ready in. We loved our weekend in Savannah!

Cute and convenient

This property was really cute. Perfect for our small group of 3. Easy access to the city from where we were. I was worried about parking, knowing the Savannah situation, but it wasn’t hard to find parking at all. Would stay here again.

Pleasant Stay

Nice, well-stocked and well decorated home. Parking right out the door- which is tough to find in Savannah. You'll need that car because the downtown is at least a mile away although there are restaurants within walking distance. Good value for the money, and the management was easy to communicate with.

Super Nice with New Mattresses

Had a great stay. Cleaner than most. Not really close enough to downtown for walking(over a mile from Forsythe Park). Great if you have a car though. Street parking is available. Mattresses seem brand new. Would stay again. Owner was quite accommodating.

Nice cottage within walking distance to Forsyth Park

This cottage was in a good location close to Forsyth Park and near many great restaurants! Spacious and roomy with a well stocked kitchen. Nicely decorated and cozy. Would stay here again.
