We were robbed by the staff, please doesn’t stay in this place
This was the worst experience ever. We rent it to spend 2 weeks in Mexico working remotely, then we stayed all day at the apartment working at our computers and in late afternoon usually we got out to the beach or to get something to eat.
One day we arrived from dinner and we noticed our computers and other stuff like bags and earphones were gone. The door was not break in, then it was opened with the key, that’s keep at the locker beside the door which has a password that was not changed when we arrived, so certainly who got our stuff had access to the building and knew our password and routine exactly.
We got very scared and no one answered us at the “emergency phone”, because it was not working hours (?). We called the police alone and we tried to find the things with “find my” apple app but we did not succeeded, and no one got the response of the security about what happened. No one of the owner’s staff showed up to help us. The next day we and our neighbors could get the video of the camera of the building beside, because ours had none, and we spent a lot of time and money going 4 times to the Police Office, and we did it alone and with no information or help. Vrbo said that what happened was not its response and we should to deal directly with the landlord. And the landlord said that it we should deal with the building administration. In short, we had our stuff stolen from the people that works at the place and no one helped us.
This experience was awful, we were very harmed financially and mentally, and no one intended to reimburse us or even just collaborate with us to deal with the police. Terrible. Please don’t stay in this place.
