BEACH / CREEK ACCESS: The private beach boardwalk, shared with the first floor of this duplex beach house, provides a rinsing shower and built-in sundeck on each end. Creek access with a kayak put-in is located right across the road from the end of the common-use driveway. The North Causeway bridge, a popular local fishing spot, is also nearby.
LENGTH OF STAY: Saturday to Saturday stays in summer. Partial week stays may be considered for last-minute bookings. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.
DOG FRIENDLY: This Dog Friendly home invites you to bring the whole family. Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach during daylight hours. Guests are responsible for all damage caused by their dog. Guests bringing a dog must make it known at the time of booking and pay additional rent. Maximum 2 dogs.
PAWLEYS ISLAND: Generations of vacationing families, originally drawn by the rejuvenating salty sea air, now find the signature charm and casual character of the island just as alluring. Your comments are welcome but come as a great surprise given how hard we all work to keep this older beach house clean, safe and enjoyable. The new owners have been working on a to-do list every chance they get. This “up and down” duplex, is a favorite among our regular guests who appreciate the affordable oceanfront rates as well as the improvements made each year.

We love pawleys island
We are a fun group of golfers coming to play some local courses and fish. (Ages 32-58) This is our second trip to Pawleys this year.
The property was in the perfect location with great views and access to the beach. If this weren’t thru Litchfield real estate I would book again on that alone.
The problems:
The management co has a bait and switch pricing method where after booking they require a credit card for linens . The ladies at check in were very rude and grumpy and one was rolling her eyes at me. Very very unwelcoming experience.
The owners showed up mid trip to stay in the lower level unit. However, this was to work on the property. Imagine being hung over after a fun golf trip and you have saws and power tool blaring below while trying to sleep. It was a bit much. Just block the dates if you need to work on it.
Maintenance . On arrival it’s sprung upon me that there is no heat at the property because they haven’t turned it on for the season and wanted to send someone out to do it. I agreed to 8am. I see the guy in the parking lot and invite him up when I’m informed “8am!? Mam this is an all day job. I’ll need to be able to access in and out of the house until at least noon and then the second unit” to which I politely asked for them to reschedule because we have our dog with us and a tee time and don’t want them in and out of the house with our stuff unattended.
The beds were horribly uncomfortable. We all swapped beds 3-4x during the stay and used the hammock and it turns out they’re all that way. Like you have to put your pillows on the foot board side..unless you like to sleep in reverse trendeleburg.
“Pet friendly” so it’s advertised as pet friendly. But then it’s a $200 pet fee, then it’s signs everywhere that say, keep pets off all furniture and couches and beds or pay fines. So no.. pet friendly is a bit of an exaggeration.
Overall it was a good stay and the owners definitely care about their property and have spent time to make it nice. It was just the above that detracted from it and we all left a day early.

Great location, great view and porch. Beds are uncomfortable. Somehow slanted, lower at the head. One bathroom is renovated and great, the other is very dated, and the bathtub is so narrow that it’s hard to take a shower. The kitchen is very nice but not set up for cooking. No coffee, or tea, or salt and pepper in the house. But we had a great time
