The Perfect View ~ (and the Ideal Location!) Walk to Restaurants. Beach and Mor
Families love The Perfect View! It's centrally located in Monte Rio - walking distance to public beaches, boat rentals, restaurants, small market, skate park, and playground - and overlooking the Russian River. And the views!!! You'll relish the play of light on the river and redwood covered mountains across the valley as well as the steady stream of wildlife living in and around the river: otters, herons, ducks, swallows, turtles, and a wide variety of fish including Coho, Chinook, and Steelhead.
The rear deck is the real gem - mostly covered for year round use - with a 2-person hot tub, gas BBQ, outdoor dining area, and additional seating. It's the perfect spot for breakfast or simply a cup of coffee while watching the fog burn off on a summer morning, relaxing throughout the day with a book, grilling up a storm for dinner and eating al fresco, followed by a soak in the hot tub. Hanging out at the house is effortless, but it's also a great jumping off point for day trips into the redwoods, the coast and along the river.
While The Perfect View is perfectly situated on the Russian River, there is not direct access to the river from the house. We recommend walking downriver a quarter mile to Dutch Bill Beach (no services) or walking/driving across the river to the Monte Rio Beach where, in the summer, you can rent canoes/kayaks/inner tubes and supplement your picnic with food at the concession stands.
The Perfect View is a hop, skip, and a jump to downtown Occidental - known for dueling, family-run Italian restaurants; an amazing seasonal farmer's market; and Howard Station Café - don't miss their breakfast.
Know Before You Book:
Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at The Perfect View is 4 guests. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.
Parking: There is parking for 3 cars in front of the house. The garage is locked for storage. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance
Bed Sizes: First bedroom: Queen bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed
Heat Source: Central heat.
Location: The Perfect View is located in a residential neighborhood and The Village Inn is the next door neighbor.
Stairs: There is a flight of stairs from the parking area to the front door and another from the back deck to the backyard. Once inside the house, all the bedrooms and living areas are on one level.
Fencing: The yard is fenced to the road but open to the river. The river bank is exposed - please keep an eye on kids playing in the backyard.
Common Amenities not included: This home has an A/C unit in the kitchen that does a great job cooling the common areas of the house. There are ceiling and freestanding fans for the bedrooms.
Proximity to wineries: The Perfect View is just under 5 miles to downtown Guerneville and several tasting rooms in town. Westside Road - with a fantastic number of vineyards and tasting rooms - is about 10 miles from the house.
Nearest River Beach: While The Perfect View overlooks the river, it does not have direct access to the river or a beach. The Monte Rio Public Beach is slightly downriver and across the river. It's a half mile walk or drive. There is a closer beach on the same side of the river, a quarter mile walk, but it doesn't have boat rentals or concessions in the summer.
Nearest Ocean Beach: The closest ocean beaches are in Jenner approx. 9 miles away.

We are Russian River Vacation Homes, a part of D&G Equity Management, Inc., a family owned and locally owned/operated property management company.
Our Story:
In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community.
Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael’s client, Bob, asked “Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?” Michael said “Sure!” and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals.

Monte Rio is home to the beautiful Northwood Golf Club, a 9 hold course amongst the redwoods designed by Alister MacKenzie, of Augusta fame. There is also a popular bar and restaurant on the golf course property.
Monte Rio is just a short drive to the many Russian River Valley Wineries to the east, and is also a short drive west to the ocean where you’ll find scenic beaches and hiking trails.
This is a great launch point for your outdoor and wine tasting adventures
