Pool and views

Nice pool, spa with great views over city. We also loved having the poolside speakers, bar, bbq and fire pit for s’mores.

Great getaway house

The house was large, clean, and mostly well-stocked. There were some shortages (such as paper towels, trash bags, and spices) that we hadn't brought with us, but for the most part everything we needed was there. The owner was very responsive when we needed help, such as when we couldn't get the wifi to work the first night. He made an obvious effort to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Amazing weekend getaway

Upon arrival, the house was spotless and just as beautiful as it is in the pictures, even more breathtaking then in the pictures. The owner, Shah, was very responsive and easy to contact at anytime throughout the stay. There was a big beautiful backyard over looking the valley with all the amenities: fire pit, grill, hot tub/pool, big turf area, even a waterfall. All the appliances were very up-to-date and very easy to use. The house comfortably sleeps ten with two pull-out beds in addition to the beds in the other rooms. The house is great for entertaining with its open living room, big kitchen and a whole bar/lounge room. I would definitely recommend staying here!!! 10/10 experience

Stranded and host double booked us

Only saw the outside but the front yard was gross and what we could see of the property it was dirty and had birds in cages and property was super cluttered. Not impressed. Host blamed VRBO for double booking but VRBO blamed the host because he was using 2 accounts.

Fun Family Gathering

This property allowed us to enjoyed a relaxing time with family,. The kids enjoyed trampoline, air hockey and pool. Adults enjoyed the views, and great spaces to sit and chat. The kitchen was great for two families, lots of space. We also used the grill outside for Father’s Day. We easily exchanged messages with the owners a few times, about check in and a few things that were not working., like the automatic shades and a fan. We also never found the controls for the main TV, the host did offer to help with these things. There is also a neighbor that shares the driveway who was nice and helped when we arrived. All in all we had a fun and relaxing time.

A True Retreat

We needed a get-away during quarantine - living in LA with no backyard was making us stir crazy after 4 months! We spent July 4th week enjoying the resort-style backyard - swimming, BBQing, we could even watch neighborhood fireworks from the hot tub!! The view is incredible, the grounds really do feel like a resort hotel, the kitchen is enormous & great for cooking family meals. My 12 & 9 year olds couldn’t get enough of the trampoline, ping pong table, bacci ball, and in-pool volleyball net. We brought tons of board games & had a blast! The owner, Shah, is an incredibly sweet person who was very easy to work with. You can tell he’s trying to get the house up & running as a great rental - it’s still fairly new for rental so there was nothing at all in the fridge & the kitchen is sparsely supplied. We knew this from reading a previous review, so we brought everything we needed (+ instacart delivers to the property!). We needed to bring basics like olive oil, pepper, sharp knives, laundry detergent, and hand towels for the bathrooms. It’s supplied like a show-room house, so if you know that prior to arrival, you won’t be surprised. I trust Shah is working hard to make it more perfect with each stay & we will come back! Thank you for sharing this treasure with our family! We loved it!

Creepy crawlies & Deceiving photos

Glue traps for rodents in bedrooms. Bug traps in cabinets and drawers. Scurrying sounds overhead. Outdoor room reeked of raid that never went away even with 3 days of open windows and doors. And even if not for all that (as if it’s not enough), it would’ve still been a huge disappointment. The pool was freezing despite the exorbitant fee to heat it. The hot tub was only hot one night. The hammock was broken. The trampoline was covered in things that had fallen off the trees. Half of the backyard items listed were not there. Only the living room tv would turn on because they are wifi controlled, but the wifi only worked well enough in that room. The blinds were controlled with switches, but only some of them worked. For the price, we expected so much more. We’ve stayed in other vrbo properties for much less that were fantastic.

Beautiful home and yard but beware

Beautiful home and yard is outstanding! However, beware! WiFi passwords provided did not work and host did not respond to queries sent both by email and text. He did respond a day later with request that we move 4 garbage bins down to the street---all were completely full and very heavy! Never before have been asked to deal with other peoples garbage! There were many, many remotes but absolutely no instructions for any of them. The pool was nice but hot tub jets weren't working. The outdoor heater's propane tank was empty! The fire pit worked fine. As pictured, there were lots of yard toys but in reality they were in bits and pieces in a messy pile. The outdoor grill worked but the built-in cooler smelled of beer and had a cigarette in it! The pictured tred mill was inside and had no cord. Tried to watch a movie but connection kept cutting off so gave up. And lastly, there is some type of rodent problem and the enclosed back area smelled of chemicals so glad we didn't have to try to sleep there! It was essentially unusable except as passage to outdoors.

Nice, secluded, spacious!

I had a great weekend staying here. Very quiet and secluded, but not too far from town. Pool was nice and warm. Jacuzzi not so much.

Fun in the Sun!

My family and I needed a quick getaway and a home that had full entertainment without leaving the house. This house has it. We enjoyed all the games in and out of the house, pool, and outdoor bar/bbq. The only thing to keep in mind is if you and your group will be cooking majority of the time you will need to bring most everything. The kitchen is not stocked yet with essentials (oil, cooking spray, paper towels, sharp knives, etc.) like most other rentals and neither are the linen closets (no additional linen, minimal towels, no toilet paper, etc). Overall, a very entertaining home and never a dull moment!

Dear Aylin we really appreciate that you took you're valuable gives us a review, every week we adding and replacing new equipments but every family is cooking different so we're doing our best to fill the kitchen but we do ask most of our guests if they need specials we have no problem accommodate everyone's need, regarding bed we put one set of new clean complete bed set that includes one linen as well, we provide 2 towels per person, toilet paper we leave 4_5 roll for each bathroom standard, we have about 4_6 brand new knifes, but we're planning to but some moore sharper knife's, yes we don't providing any food products. Oil ect. But well stock what makes my guest need comfortable

Pictures do not do place justice!

My friends and I wanted to get away from the COVID craziness. We looked at the pictures but it was WAY better than we were expecting. The yard is huge and comes with a bunch of activities. The pool was super relaxing during the day and the inside of the house was great for later at night. Property manager was very flexible and friendly. Easy to check-in. A little hard to find but overall it was an amazing stay.

Above and Beyond

This was by far one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in. The property is beautiful and set high on a hill, away from neighbors. It had everything we wanted and more. We had two families with 5 kids in total and there was more than enough room for all and plenty of play area for all the kids. Even the little bonus room with the pull out beds worked out great with automatic shades to make it private, a huge TV for movies, and an additional drink fridge for all our beverages. The kids loved the trampoline, the air hockey, the outdoor TV and of course the pool! The parents loved the outdoor shower, outdoor access bathroom, the relaxing hammock, the fire pit, the jacuzzi...and the list goes on. Shah, the owner, was attentive, responsive and went above and beyond! We will definitely be back!

Perfect summer getaway

As soon as we walked in the house the temperature was nice and cool and sounds of a mini waterfall in the background. Lovely. This home is just perfect for a family of all ages. So much to do and you can tell the owner is constantly improving. Shah was available at anytime for any questions. The view is amazing, the home is located at the top of a mountain and surrounded by them so you definitely feel secluded. The TVs were SMART TVS and that made it easy to just log into the wifi and cast any video from your phone to it. Definitely coming back!

Heaven on Earth!

This is a wonderful property. My family has stayed at a lot of Homeaway properties over the years but this one was for sure the best one ever! The house is beautifully furnished and clean - not cluttered. But the yard is where it's at! We lived outside the whole time enjoying the amazing view, pool, hot tub and fire pit, ping pong, trampoline, etc. Also, Shah was kind, friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay and made us feel really welcome. Family vacation

We all had a great time hanging out at the pool. There were a few hiccups with the TV not working at times, the jacuzzi we had to request a time to come on whereas other places we were able to turn on when we wanted, the patio area could of been cleaned up a bit better by removing some weeds. There was no guest book or instructions. Overall hanging out at the pool and putting on fire pit at night was great. Location was good not far from stores and beaches.

Nice getaway with some minor problems

Beautiful property , clean interior, but the yard was not well taken care of (lots of weeds and dirty pool). One of the bedrooms was locked when we arrived and we had to wait 4 hours for someone to come open it. The amenities were good but bring coffee mugs, plates, bowls and glassware because those were in short supply. It was frustrating that someone had to come to turn the heat on in the hot tub and that it was an additional $50 per day. Besides these minor inconveniences it is a good stay for families with children.

Great weekend getaway for my family

The property was perfect for my family and I to enjoy some sun and pool time together. The property also had a trampoline and other outdoor games that kept my kids occupied for hours.

What an amazing property. Our group had a blast out in the sun for four days and nights. Would 100% recommend to any group needing a 4 bedroom place with an amazing backyard pool and hot tub. Would love to return again shortly.

Ideal Family Getaway

My family and I wanted to get away for the weekend and, with the temperatures in the 90s, were looking for a place with a heated pool. This house in Lake Wohlford checked all the boxes. Shah is very friendly and easy to reach. The backyard is literally set up like a resort with pool/hot tub/covered bbq/grass area. We spent every second outside and loved every minute. The only thing I spoke with Shah about is that this is not really a true 4 bedroom house. It has 3 dedicated bedrooms and one room attached to the main living area that has a bar with stools in it (the bar is pictured in the listing). The problem is that this room is surrounded by windows and lacks any privacy so we could not use it as the 4th bedroom as we had planned. Shah had also told us that we were his first guests which made sense since the kitchen/house didn't have everyday items that you would expect. Once the kitchen/house are stocked with bbq utensils, wine bottle opener, pots/pans, a real coffee maker, etc it will have everything you could possibly want. Even with the above criticisms, I happily give this place 5 stars because you really can not ask for a better set up with the pool/hot tub. It's its own resort tucked away in Escondido. We would go back in a heartbeat!!! Enjoy!!!
