Rocky Top Vista Log Cabin with High Speed Wifi

Enjoy this log cabin that is conveniently located near the ski area with a bird’s eye view of the town’s ponds. During the winter months, enjoy VIP seating for the torchlight parade as you can see the Face from the front porch. Adventurists won’t have to go far to hike Pioneer Trail or better yet, take your ROVs and enjoy the trail without getting tired. For those that enjoy a nice walk, before you grab a bite to eat, this property is within walking distance of Shotgun Willies!



Guests will enjoy a comfortable stay with a master bedroom which boasts a king bed and private bathroom. Bedroom 2 also has an amazing king size bed and a half bath that will be greatly appreciated for a long day of Red River adventures. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds, a twin trundle and a futon that can be used for lounging and sleeping. The popular cabin was built in 1949 and it is said that the original cowboy, John Wayne, has stayed here!



This cozy cabin features a fully equipped kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace to warm you up after a frigid day on the mountain. The living room has a flat-screen Tv for your tv viewing when you’re not exploring the mountain town of Red River. Be sure to enjoy a cup of joe on the front porch and gaze at the slopes any time of year, or take a moment to relax by the fire pit out back and discuss the adventures you’ve had and the ones you plan on making.



The home has many conveniences for our guests, like washer and dryer and a tankless water heater to ensure there are enough hot showers for everyone. The washer and dryer are located in the garage, but there is no vehicle parking inside. The cabin is also pet-friendly with a fenced in backyard and has permitted trailer parking. There is, however a $125 nonrefundable pet fee due at check in, so bring the kids, dogs, and ATV's for an amazing adventure in Red River.

This property now has high speed wifi.

*4x4 is necessary to access the property in winter months. All reservations are subject to our rental terms and conditions and cancellation/refund policy. In the event of a cancelation, merchant service charges are non-refundable. If you have any questions, please reach out prior to your stay.

Awesome family home near slopes amd town

Brought the kids, the grand kids and dogs. Awesome layout, tons od personality in this log cabin home. Perfect backyard fenced for dogs who dont tey to jump fences. Living room was super comfy and roomy to enjoy kid movies and fireplace and socializing.

Great Cabin Experience

Cabin was updated and comfortable for our family of 5 Nice to have fenced backyard for dog and really great views all around! Cabin is not stocked with anything but toilet paper, paper towels and a few trash bags We made several trips to market for basics. The owners have really spent money to update and make cabin modern but still feel like a 40's cabin!

Beautiful Cabin with awesome location

We absolutely loved our stay in this property. The location was perfect, and the home itself was amazing. We loved the beautiful cabin décor, comfortable sleeping arrangements, useable kitchen, fireplace, nice bathrooms, outdoor grill, fenced in backyard for our dog, etc. Overall, it was just great! The only downside for our kiddos, was no wi fi. The property management was kind enough to loan us a "hotspot" for internet service, but we found it to run very slow. Other than that small hiccup...we just loved staying in this property and hope to enjoy it again soon!

Don’t book a property managed by Reservations Unlimted

Before posting this review I reached out to the management company several times only to be told I don’t know how to get on the internet and I should have checked the property management website before booking through VRBO. Long story short, the amenities and descriptions listed on VRBO are not accurate. We were not given the correct internet login upon check in so didn’t have access for a day. The side bedroom and guest bathroom smelt like sewage our entire stay. I just was trying to make it right for the next guests and didn’t ask for anything in return. You will also need to bring items to clean the dishes and will probably have to visit the store like we did to get items that should be provided by the company. I feel bad for the owners of the property and tried to contact them but it just redirected me to the management company. The location is perfect and just up the hill from the ski resort. Deer come up to the cabin every night. We still had a great time despite the horrible customer service and incorrect information about this property listed on VRBO.

Beautiful, mountain paradise!

The location was convenient to town, the cabin was furnished with everything you would need for your visit. The furnishings are Southwestern theme & very comfortable place to stay! I highly recommend staying here. My family & friends all want to return & stay here again! I love Red River!

Better than we expected

We had an absolutely amazing trip while staying at this property. I had no idea that the view from the front yard was so gorgeous. It’s a private secluded area right in town. We will stay here again and again. The bedrooms living room dining room and kitchen were beautiful.

Wonderful Large Cabin with a Great View

This is a beautiful cabin with very nice furnishings, large rooms, and an awesome view. We had a wonderful and fun time staying here. Just lacks attention to detail... such as cigarette butts laying all over the front yard, porch and entry rugs were unswept, torn screen on front door, dirty windows on inside of living room, curled rugs inside, broken glass in backyard. WIFI was not available until after asking and then a Hotspot was supplied the next day. Should have been provided at check-in. Overall still a wonderful place, just needs a little more TLC.

Perfect cabin with great character

This cabin was very comfortable for our group of six. It has retained all the charm of a cabin built in 1949 with modern updates in all the right places. We will definitely stay agian.

Great Property!

The two king bedrooms and one room with bunk beds and the pull out futon were perfect for our families. Both couples had king size beds and private bedrooms and all three kids were in the same room. The three bathrooms were also perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed and worked great.

Fantastic cabin

This is an absolutely wonderful cabin and property. Perfect location, secluded but walking distance to town. The cabin itself is huge with all up to date amenities. I have already recommended this property to many friends and will definitely return.

Paradise in Red River

Was exactly what we were looking for! We will definitely be back to this property. Peaceful, modern cabin! If there is anything I can suggest is that you add a sink stopper to the kitchen to be able to wash down the stove, etc. Also I understand these are the woods and rodents (mice) are all over the property and some droppings in side. But I will still come back.
