Feel completely at peace in this quaint little round home. This unit is nestled right on the edge of the mountain, right across the road from the ski slopes giving it incredible views. Bring the family (including your fur baby with a fee) as it sleeps 6 in a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom home. Enter this one level home straight into the living area that has a wood burning stove, a sleeper sofa, and cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances in an open layout ready for use. In the hallway you'll find the first full bathroom with a shower/tub. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a private bathroom, and the guest room has a queen-sized bed. Fall in love with the mountains’ fresh air on the large porch or go explore the many outdoor activities available during any season. Regardless of your plans I hope you’ll choose our home to rest your head on your next vacation!

Great location and views

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely chalet with great views of the mountain and easy access to slopes. Beds were comfortable and showers were hot. Only complaint is the white dog hairs everywhere but otherwise clean and cozy.

Was a lovely location but spent time cleaning when we first got there.

Overall we loved it great location. View was awesome. Will stay there again. Just get a better housekeeper.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was the perfect location and space for our winter family ski trip. The home has everything you need, amenity-wise, beds and pillows comfortable. There is so much light and gorgeous views. We hope this is available for our next trip, we would rent this home again.

If I could give it more than five stars I would.

Everything about this property was perfect. The responsiveness from the host just answering a few basic questions before we checked in was very quick. I can’t think of a better location. The house it situated between two ski lifts. It was SO NICE to be able to ski in/out as we pleased. It was also very nice to be able to walk to town to eat if we felt like it. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals, the beds very comfortable. We’re already looking at dates to book for our trip next year.

Awesome views

Overall, everything was as expected. Phenomenal views from the deck. The kitchen was rather small but had everything we needed. The two bathrooms were extremely nice. King bed was very comfortable. My only complaint would be that there was no cable tv. There was some type of tv system with some stations but not what I expected. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed the home and would definitely rent it again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and wonderful area. Great location!

House was clean and had everything we needed! We cooked most of our meals and they had every pot, pan, utensil and even spices that we needed. They even provided a few rolls of toilet paper. The only thing we needed to bring ourselves was laundry detergent.It’s in a great location where you walk to the slope which is a little past your parking spots. It sits right between Upper Shawnahee and Lower Shawnahee so you can see both sides.Only advice I have to offer is 1) put the flag up on the trash bin otherwise it won’t get picked up 2) there’s a window in the bathroom where the neighbors can get a “show” while you shower. Our trick was to take foil (which the house had) and hang/mold it to the window.Great place! Will definitely stay again!!!

Needs updates.

We were disappointed with this rental. For the price we paid they need better amenities. The towels and linens provided were very worn. We had to purchase blankets while we were there because there were none in the rental. We also had to get a candle due to the place smelling very musty. I’m not sure when it was cleaned but it didn’t seem like it was very close to our stay. The floor was very dirty and there were dead bugs all around the windows. The location is great but they need to take better care of their renters and provide higher quality items and provide a cleaner environment.

Beech Mountain Vacation

The house is very close to the ski slope which is nice for ease of access. The house is good for trips with a small group. It's pretty basic when it comes to the amenities. All the rooms have small space heaters that need to be reset sometimes which is good to know before you get there. Some have a small button you can push with something skinny like a tooth pick but others you need to take the cover off to access the button so bring a Phillips head screwdriver. I also recommend allocating some time to cleaning. I saw comments from other people complaining about the house not being clean and we had the same experience. Other than that it's a good house for a ski trip.

There was plenty for all to do and enjoy.I am a repeat renter for this property because of the beautiful full view and nice deck with lots of chairs but I’m disappointed in the new house being built directly in front that blocks my favorite part of the view. Because of this I will not be renting this location any more. It’s still beautiful but I know what I’ll be missing now.Property management worker Angie is amazing to work with. She is so helpful.

Stay for the location

The location is the best aspect of this rental. There are two bedrooms and two baths. A pull out couch which is extremely uncomfortable. The bathrooms have been remodeled in comparison to the rest of the place. The master shower is unusually large for the small space and we could but figure out how to work the shower until the last day. Upon arrival, there was dirt on the carpet, dog treats on the floor by the couch and someone else’s ski card on the floor. I am not sure the unit was cleaned or swept. The kitchen is a hodgepodge of stuff everywhere. No order to the cabinets and drawers and many of the dishes were dirty- we washed everything prior to use. There was bug droppings in the corner of the kitchen floor by the heater in the corner too. The beds were comfortable and the heat worked well. I feel like the owners went to a flea markets and bought a mix of stuff and put it in the unit. The best part is the location. Easy proximity to the slopes. I would strongly recommend to the owner a better cleaning service and maybe organize the kitchen better.

Location is great but needs some updates

The location of this cabin was the best we’ve had! We come to Beech a few times a year for slope side cabins and this Cabin was by far the best location. Which made the status of the cabin (just older and out of date) feel worth it. It is just a few steps from the slopes and you can see the lift to lower Shawnee hall from the kitchen window. I definitely don’t think 6 sleeps comfortably here. There is one king bed, one full bed, and a sleep sofa but the sleeper sofa is very small and thin. Luckily we only had 5 people so one person managed the sleeper sofa. The living room and kitchen have beautiful floor to ceiling windows with a panoramic view of the slopes but unfortunately the blinds let in a lot of light so the person sleeping on the sofa really wasn’t able to sleep well. The heat is old and doesn’t work in all the rooms, we wished we had brought our radiant heater with us for the full size bedroom where it wasn’t working. Bring some 9x13 pans or baking sheets if you plan on using them, the selection for clean good pans was slim. Overall cleanliness was ok, the reviews of the musty old smell was accurate, and we had a dirty towel in one of the closets but nothing we couldn’t just ignore.

Million dollar views!

We had a very nice stay over Thanksgiving - just the 2 of us and our dog. The house sits right next to the ski slope and has amazing views looking over the town and off into the distant mountains. For check in you need to stop and pick up keys at a rental place at the bottom of the hill. We arrived in the allotted time (3-5PM) but the house wasn't ready yet as the cleaners were running behind. The rental contract says if you don't get there by 5PM, they keys can be picked up at 9AM the next day, which kinda worried me as I thought what if we run into traffic or had planned for a late arrival, but a few days before check in, they emailed said the keys would be in a drop box if we arrived after 5. So no worries if you need to arrive later. The house was clean and was a perfect size for a small group. The king bed was memory foam and very comfortable. The bathrooms are upgraded as was the kitchen counter. The only minor issue we had was that the snow machines for the ski slope were running and we watched about a dozen cars struggle to get up the turn right below the house. We were a bit nervous about going out for dinner that night, so we ate in. The plows took care of it by morning but make sure you either have chains to get up the tricky part of the hill or plan to have some dinner food on hand in case the road is icy. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. The views were to die for and the house was warm and comfortable.

Some minor issues.

The place is great. When we arrived we noticed a broken railing laying on the lawn (hill) we also noticed cigarette butts on the deck and beer bottles (which we disposed of) smokers are disgusting filthy people in general. The place was great as far as location. Literally the views were great and the slopes were feet away! One thing I have to say is we had a service pet with us and they still charged us a pet fee. The book keeper or accountant was extremely nasty to me which I was surprised at because I was super nice to everyone. I told her the dog is not considered a pet but she insisted I still had to pay the pet fee. Then she had the audacity to say I probably got the service registration online and it wasn’t real. I gave her the name of the place that trained her and requested she call right then and there to verify she was a service dog. At this she scoffed. will be contacting the service pet website to see if this was unethical or illegal. My guess is it was. Her whole demeanor and attitude was uncalled for. I suggest reprimanding her. I asked for an apology and the only apology I got was “I’m sorry if my tone upset you but I’m a direct person”?? Really. That’s your apology. Fire this woman or reprimand her. And refund my 119.00. We left the place beautiful. Even did the laundry!
