Charming & private lakefront cottage perfect for spring, summer, and fall getaways. Full kitchen, living room, huge screened-in porch. Lower level has full-bath, 2 private bedrooms, one with full-sized bed and one with a queen bed. Upstairs has large open space with 2 full-sized beds and 2 twin-sized beds and separate private bedroom with full-sized bed. Clean and cute outhouse as well. Sparkling, crystal clear water, new dock, easy-access stairs to beach. Kayaks, paddle boat, SUP, swim raft, sandy beach, fire pit. Well-maintained and rarely available for rent. Sleeps 12. (6 privately)

Great vacation spot

When we arrived everything was better than we thought it would be ! The cottage has everything you could possibly need for a Great Vacation. My grandchildren loved the kayaks . There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room from the porch to the sleeping arrangements. The pond was so clean to swim in and the fire pit area was an added bonus !! We loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a private, quiet, and fun getaway

Beautiful spot with lots of memories made!

We chose the cottage since I vacationed with my family there as a young child and it did not disappoint. Crystal clear water, awesome beach, lots to do in the water…teens were playing for hours! The cottage was wonderful, well stocked with lots of finishing touches and loved the large screen porch overlooking the lake. A perfect week and lots of family memories made! Thank you so much!

Off to the Mountains

This was such a wonderful, quiet retreat. The little cottage by a pond was down a rocky, dirt road, with twists and bends that led through the woods. Leigh, the owner, had told me it was rather remote, so I was prepared. The cottage was a bit rustic but comfortable and well stocked, as described. Cell phone and internet services were fine. The view of the pond from the porch is so lovely and peaceful. Two loons stayed busy calling each other and a pair of bald eagles were often seen. This property is close enough to easily get to local restaurants, grocery and drug stores. There are wonderful day trips to make to nearby towns, White Lake State Park, and the White Mountains. The coast of Maine was even a day trip for us. Leigh responded quickly to my questions and was eager to make me feel comfortable. This was a great get-away.

This is a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. My husband and I only saw 2 other people (as they went by in their boat) the entire time we were there. House was under construction (I knew this when i booked) but remained usable in every aspect (just as the host said it would). Host is very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. Can't wait to go back again.

Wonderfully Private Cabin

We arrived at night to this cabin and although we knew it was private and down a long narrow road we never expected it to be a mile and a half down a narrow road going 5-10 mph. I say that not to scare you but to tell you so you don’t feel lost finding this hidden treasure. It’s worth it. So peaceful. We were also able to get our large SUV and 6’x10’ trailer down the driveway, so don’t think it’s too remote. There was the singing of the loon, the festive lights on the large screened in porch and the unbelievably clear lake to just melt away all the world’s stress. Plenty of beds. We are a family of 7 and didn’t use two of the beds. It was nice having a TV area upstairs for the big kids and TV area on the main floor for the smaller ones since we had rain straight for two days with the hurricane passing through. It was also a plus having two refrigerators. No A/C but plenty of fans everywhere and the nights get pretty cool. Sitting on the porch overlooking the lake for all our meals was wonderful. Although this is called a pond I would call it a lake. Very nice size. Nice beach area for the little ones and shallow water for them to swim and then a nice dock to jump off and deeper water for the bigger kids. Leigh was very easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to all our questions. We enjoyed the Pizza Barn two different nights that is very close and the grocery store and gas stations are also very close. A very enjoyable experience.

Fantastic getaway

The cottage, is the perfect place to spend a week away. Located completely off the beaten path. This little spot has it all. Great beach with clear and sandy bottom. Fully equipped kitchen, wifi, smart tv.. and many beds for guests. The screen porch is huge, with plenty of seating, and a wonderful view to the pond. Large gas grill, and a fire pit to enjoy fun evenings making s'mores. The sounds of loons and frogs will lull you to sleep. Absolutely no neighbors, either next to, or across the pond from you. We loved it so much ,we booked it for next year, while we were still there!!!!!

This an amazing piece of paradise in a very lovely and secluded spot.

Leigh was so lovely and accommodating. The cottage is adorable and spacious with a real rustic feel. The small private beach and dock were amazing! The kids ages 5, 8,9 and 11 all had a wonderful time!

Awesome location!

We had such a great time here. The location is very secluded which we were looking for since we brought along our dogs with us. We spent almost all of our time down at the water which is crystal clear! It’s such a beautiful spot. We also enjoyed the large firepit area as well. We will definitely be looking into visiting again in the future!

Peaceful paradise

Clean, clear and quiet pond setting with a private beach. Cozy cottage with plenty of amenities. Tubes, kayaks and games for your enjoyment. We had a lovely time!

Wonderful NH cabin!

Property is beautiful! Last house at the end of a really long dirt road. When we first turned down the Rd. there were quite a few houses and I started to worry, but it's very private, you pretty much have the whole side of the pond all to yourself! Only thing I would note is as with most cabins up north, you should have a 4wd or awd truck or suv- it rained one day we were here and the dirt road did flood a bit, but nothing my SUV couldn't handle. Cabin itself had more "extras" than other camps I've stayed at like condiments, paper goods, first aid items, etc.. our dogs had a blast trying to catch the abundance of frogs here.. Saw bald eagles, comorants, LOONS! (Nothing better than the call of a loon). Great location for bird watchers. Water is Crystal clear. Supermarket is very close. We look forward to coming back every summer. What I look for in these reviews is how close the nearest neighbor is (so my dogs can roam without running into someone's yard), so I'd just like to add again there are no neighbors on this side of the pond, only person we saw was a lone kayaker that comes out early morning.

Private, peaceful paradise!

My husband and I (and our small dog) had such a relaxing week at the cottage! It’s very clearly a beloved family cottage, not a generic rental, and we felt quite at home. It was very clean when we arrived but I appreciated that there were ample cleaning products available so we could do our own once-over (pandemic paranoia and all). We really loved how private the location is—the cottage is so far away from others along the way it felt like we had a whole third of the pond to ourselves. The sandy swimming area is perfect and the water is clean and clear. The dock is a wonderful place to lounge in the sun, the spacious enclosed porch is a great respite from said sun, and the fire pit area is a perfect place to pass the evenings. Our dog had a blast walking the trails around the pond and chasing frogs on the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals and it was handy having a second fridge available. The only drawback for me was that the largest bed is a double—we’re used to a queen so sleeping definitely felt tight. Overall this is a really great spot, and though it was just the two of us this time around it’s well suited for larger groups as well, with plenty of seating and beds for all.

Isolated Perfection

Quick get away with some of our adult children and grandchildren. The rustic cottage has everything you need, and the remote location was ideal for us!

For over 40 years, The Cottage was our parents' pride and joy. Their goal was to keep The Cottage welcoming, charming, furnished with items purchased in New Hampshire, and to maintain its peacefulness. We seek to continue this legacy while adding updated amenities.

Located on a private lot with no close neighbors. The Cottage includes WiFi, SMART TVs, etc. Recent upgrades include a new staircase providing easy access to the waterfront, a rebuilt waterfront beach area and dock, new gas heating system, updated electrical, new hot water heater, and updated appliances. Enjoy all that the Lakes Region and White Mountains of New Hampshire has to offer!
