The condo is very clean and has everything you need for a relaxing week! We had a small issue with our toilet but the rental company was on the issue and even provided tickets to a local attraction to make it right! We will definitely book with Sugar Sands in the future!

Quick vacation with little to no hassles!

Reviewer Comments: Experience was great, this is a very family friendly place with lots of kids so you need to be prepared for that as the balcony is directly over the pool. The views of the beach were awesome and we found it very easy to relax. Parking is covered, excellent unexpected benefit and the room is directly off the elevator another excellent benefit. **Note - traffic right now is tough because of a new bridge being built so just budget extra time and keep all trips to the island!**

It really isn’t necessary and is a huge pain/hassle when using the pull out couch/bed.

Great week in Ft. Walton

Property was really well maintained. Condo was as advertised with everything needed to cook with. Great view right above the pool on 4th floor. Reliable washer and dryer in the unit. So nice to have beach chairs and umbrella included with rental. Convenient location right down the street from restaurants and Tom Thumb. Covered parking was included with #408. Excellent communication with manager and maintenance. Would stay here again for sure. Ft. Walton in the middle of a large road construction project it is hectic trying to get around and through the one major intersection.

We loved sitting on the enclosed balcony, hearing the roaring ocean, watching the sea birds,surfers and more! Thanks to the fully equipped kitchen we were able to prepare breakfast and lunch, giving us more time to enjoy the beach, swimming pool and hot tub. Sunsets over the ocean were spectacular!We enjoyed a variety of local resturants for Dinner.

Reviewer Comments: I decided to do a last-minute beach trip, the VRBO pickings were slim so I was so surprised when I arrived at such a clean, well-maintained condo front and center on the gulf. The property is in a great location quiet- less crowds on the beach but right around the corner from 98 and everything you could want to do. The unit is very well maintained with plenty of kitchen tools if you want to cook, the furniture is comfortable in good condition, the layout would work great for a small family and there are lots of games/puzzles for family time off the sand. When I arrived I noticed that the living room ceiling was a little discolored and needed to be painted but the rest of the place was immaculate so I gave it 5 stars for cleanliness. For a last-minute booking this was one of the top 5 condos I have rented in the pan-handle and I have been coming down here for 20+ years.

Everything was great except for the noisy kids.

Condo was great, bed was comfortable, with plenty of hangers for your clothes. It does have a Keurig which wasn’t listed on the amenities. The manager, Jessie, was very friendly and welcoming. The beach service guys were very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is the noise from the pool below the balcony. We could not enjoy the balcony like we normally do which is the main reason we wanted a condo with a balcony. If you don’t have kids I don’t recommend staying here in the summer time when school is out. The pool is right under the balcony and the noise when we arrived was ridiculous. Kids were screaming at the top of their lungs for hours. After our very long travel day it was frustrating, they could even be heard all the way into the bedroom on the other side of the condo. Other than that everything else was great.

Great vacation spot!

This condo is in a great location on the beach within walking distance to several restaurants! We really appreciated that this rental included a beach umbrella and 2 beach chairs that were set up each morning on the beach for us! What more could you want!!

4th of July 2024 family of 5 all teens!

We enjoyed our visit very much, the condo was equipped with everything we needed! The only thing I was surprised and was a bit of inconvenience for us was the bathroom. It’s a jack and Jill style bathroom toilet and sink on either side and shower in the middle with locking doors in between! Doors were constantly being locked and then having to walk around the whole condo to try and get them unlocked and with teenagers hated the fact that when someone was in the shower another person could use the toilet even though there are locking doors separating them.

Great condo

Condo was clean. Great location. Parking for a specific condo was a tad irritating. No indication of a numberd spot. We found our though. It would be nice to know if the specific unit has specific parking. This was the case for several people we talked to. Other than that it was amazing. Will definitely stay here again.

Island Princess 408

If you are looking for a smoke free balcony to view the gulf,keep looking. This place is a smoke filled free for all. You could never use the hot tub because it is always being used as a kiddie pool full of 6 or 7 kids almost constantly. No one there to monitor the rules. We have been to Destin/Fort Walton area over a dozen times. This was by far our worst experience. The management plays both sides of the fence in the rules. Acts to us like smoking is unacceptable but then tells the smokers it would be fine if not for us complainers. Look for another place to stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rounded balcony with an amazing view. Great area, I felt super safe. Very clean. Perfect amount of space for 3 adults and 3 kids. The child safety lock on the sliding door was screwed in and out of my kids reach, which was a huge relief and something the other units didn't have.I would consider bringing your own toiletries. They did provide bar soaps and dish washing powder, but no shampoo, conditioner, or actual dish soap/sponges.If you have small ones, I'd suggest packing plastic cups and plates for them. There was plenty of dishware, but it was all glass/ceramic.

Conveniently located to wonderful restaurants and other attractions, so there was always something to do. our favorite restaurants were The Shack, Stewbys, The Gulf, and Fokkers Pub.I would Highly recommend staying in the condo. And also using Sugar Sands for your vacation needs.

Best trip ever!!!

This was the perfect condo!! We could not have asked for better. The pool and hot tub were perfect!! Everything was clean and it was close to several good restaurants. There are plenty of things to do in the area. It was the most clear water we have ever seen. We will be back!!!
