**2026 flexible stays, minimum one week in July**
Nestled on a serene street, A quiet most beautiful sunset that South Haven has to offer!
A short walk to the secluded First St Beach, where you can enjoy a low-key beach, perfect for couples and families.
Renovated and stylishly furnished the single-level cottage spans approximately 1200 sq ft.

The master bedroom boasts a queen bed.

The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a twin trundle beneath.

The third bedroom, which doubles as a bonus room, includes a twin-over-twin daybed with blackout privacy curtains. (Please note that this bedroom is not framed in by a door)

For additional sleeping arrangements, there's a Crate and Barrel pull-out sofa in the living room.

Our spacious wrap-around deck offers ample seating, complemented by a new Weber gas grill with an extra propane tank.
An outdoor shower provides convenience for washing off the sand after beach outings.

There's also a firepit with free firewood to use!
Two bicycles, numerous beach chairs, and a wagon are available for use.

Guests are reminded to bring their own beach towels, as these are not supplied.

Relaxing stay!

The property was just what my daughter and I needed to get away! We were able to make our own meals when we wanted to and get to nearby restaurants. Beds were comfy and the streetjust across from the lake, was lovely, with mature trees around including shading the deck where we ate breakfasts.

Perfect Place To Stay

We had a perfect summer vacation here. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. Close to town, a 5 minute walk to the lake, and a safe, quiet neighborhood. Communication with the owner was quick and she is so nice and helpful. Will stay here again.

A great base for visiting South Haven

We really enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed and was very clean. The deck was a great place to sit having morning coffee and admire the wildlife, rabbits, squirrels, even deer!!

A short walk to the beach

The property was slightly outside of the business of downtown, but the lake was easily accessible. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and nice outdoor spaces!

Perfect beach getaway

We very much needed some time away from home during this pandemic and this house was the ideal getaway. Very spacious for our family of 3, clean with nice amenities, and just a short walk to Lake Michigan. Thanks for the great vacay!!

Beach Bum Boulevard Stay

We really enjoyed the stay at 7421 Washington. All the amenities were there and extras. We really appreciated the bikes and beach umbrella kept in the shed as well as the movies to watch on quiet days. The owner knows how to host. Being two blocks from beach access on 1st Street was great too.

Simple Family getaway

Cute lil family house. Short walk to a small beach and or short drive into the busy downtown. Loved the touch of the outdoor shower to rinse your legs off after you hit the beach! Looking out the windows we saw a deer and a hummingbird. Very convenient and nice place to stay. Thank you!

Great stay!

This rental house was the perfect size for me, my partner, and my 3 kids. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the well stocked shed with a beach wagon, beach chairs, and lawn games. We had enough space to spread out around the property when desired and to come together to watch a movie in the main living area. It was about an 8 min walk to 1st street beach, which we went to often, and a short drive to town. The neighborhood was really quiet and cute, a little ways away from the busy main part of town. We would gladly stay here again!

Loved it

The home was well equipped inside and outside. We made good use of bikes, firepit, and wonderful beach chairs and umbrella! We had 4 adults and 2 teens. Juggled for bathroom, but made it work! Thanks for providing a great location and home!

Great Cottage with Great Location

This cottage has everything you need. The kitchen is well supplied with seasonings and condiments. The pots, pans, bowls, utensils were aplenty. Nice deck and fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. The shed was full of yard games and beach chairs and toys. Wonderful wagon we took our little girl and beach supplies in. The nice beach was just a short walk away. There are 3 bikes which we rode into town with. Great week.

2020 South Haven Vacation at 7421 Washington Street

The house was very nice at a great location that was within about a 5 minute walk to South Haven's 1st Ave Beach. The home is well appointed and Brigitte (owner) was a pleasure to work with. She has excellent follow up to questions and was kind enough to text me to ask if our check in process went smoothly, which it did. She also provided a lot of insight on the rental home, beach access and followed up again to make sure we had an enjoyable stay, which we did! Brigitte's home is very comfortable, has a nice updated kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. The kitchen had pretty much all the cooking aids that you would need for the week and there's a nice big wood patio and grill to use when you're not on the beach. We typically rent a bigger home and we've not had as positive as we did staying at 7421 Washington. There's a small shed outside which has beach chairs, games and a nice wagon to haul all your supplies for a long stay on the beach. Plus, if you have to go back to the home to use the restroom or make lunch to bring to the beach. You would only have to walk up a shorter than usual flight of stairs, then walk maybe 5 minutes to get back to the house. The beach was fantastic this year and we found two quart sized bags of beach glass (just in case you love to hunt for it) every day of our week long stay. I can't say enough positive things about our host/owner of the property and we would recommend this house for any family of up to 8 people. Again, the location was great and only a house literally on the beach would have been able to beat the location of Brigitte's home. We will definitely be staying in touch with Brigitte for our 2021 South Haven vacation! Sincerely, Nik V

First Time in South Haven

Our extended family starting to explore South Haven in the late 60's. We decided to purchase our own properties where we could enjoy time with our family and friends. We are happy to host other families and friends in each of our 3 properties. We feel especially blessed with our location and the privacy that if offers.

You will feel totally relaxed in our cottage. The space is perfect for families, couples or girl's outing. Plenty of activities nearby. Plenty of shops and restaurants in town, or take advantage of our fully stocked kitchen and large Webber grill on the deck. The summer months can be spent by days at the beach or visits to the many wineries or breweries nearby. Just bring your beach towels, everything else provided!
