The only thing good about this property is that it's decorated fairly cute but the fan was Dripping with dirt the fan in the bathroom was almost plugged with dirt the corners are full of dirt inside the cupboards are totally disintegrated need replaced that was comfortable TV was good very dated and tired

A fun getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach, the bed was comfortable as well as the couch. We had no issues with the appliances. The amenities of the building were in good shape. They were working on remodeling during our stay. We were however disappointed in the cleanliness of our condo. The bathrooms were not properly cleaned, behind the toilet seat was dirty, the light fixture was dusty, as well as the fan in the bathroom. The light fixture and fan had lightbulbs to go out that were not replaced before our stay. The fridge had an odd smell as well as the room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

It does sleep 4. But if 4 people were up moving around at the same time, would be very crowded. There is nowhere to put your clothes, besides leaving them in a suitcase on the floor. Great room for 2 people.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Last minute 3 night trip to the beach. Not many vacancies with short notice but I wish weā€™d paid the extra money for a nice condo. This particular one needed a thorough cleaning. Our socks were black after waking on floors. The sleeper sofa is very old and dirty. Has stains on cushions and on thin worn mattress. We only stayed 2 nights and headed home early because it just wasnā€™t comfortable. Pools were decent. Parking garage attendants were very nice. Good location.

Lack of air conditioning

Very poorly maintained unit (138). The first night there we decided to make frozen pizzas since we had been on the road the previous 2 days. Also decided to do a load of laundry. Here is where it all went down hill. The vent-a-hood vented into the inside of the unit, the dryer vented into the inside of the unit, on top of the air conditioner not blowing above a very low speed. At this time it was after 9pm, so there wasnt much anybody could do, so we did not contact the owner. The next morning I received a message from the owner asking if everything was ok. At this time I let them know about the a/c, and the next day was a hoilday. So again, nothing could be done until after the holiday. I at that time took matters in my own hands because the owner didnā€™t even offer a fan, I purchased a portable unit to keep us from having heart strokes. The heat index was over 100Ā°. I do have pictures of the issues mentioned.

This property is incredibly RUN DOWN. There are wires exposed ALL OVER, the balcony railing is made out of PVC PIPES and it is loose, broken and unsafe throughout. It rained, and the parking lot SEVERELY flooded. It was not passable. There are rusted pipes throughout the property, poor lighting, doors that literally do not have balconies and one can step out of and fall several stories. One pool was greenish, one pool was closed. The lighting throughout was weak and made the community look unsafe. This should be inspected by City Ordinance for LOTS of code violations. The unit itself HAD NO TOILET paper while other cleaning products were provided. The Dryer vent was a Woman's PANTYHOSE! It smelled like CONCENTRATED cigarette smoke. The bed was poorly made, the towels were OLD and everything was worn and in poor condition. The door lock was difficult to operate. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. I feel the City should inspect it for grounds of shutting it down!

Better than Expected!

This was perfect for our family of 4. The room was a little bigger than expected. The property as a whole is older, but exceptionally clean. Parking is tight, especially in a bigger truck, but the security guards were always very helpful to guide me to an open spot. Loved it!

Misrepresentation of accommodations

We signed the contract on this unit based on the premise that a sofa bed was included. Upon check-in we discovered that the sofa bed was broken, and my 19 year old 6 ft tall son had to spend our entire vacation trying to sleep on a cramped sofa. This greatly affected the enjoyment of our vacation, as my son was unable to rest comfortably the entire trip! I feel this was a complete misrepresentation of the accommodations , and will be pursuing compensation based on this false advertising.

Good for the price!

Overall it was a great stay ,but if you're looking for something luxurious this is not your place. It was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean and very close to the pools and beach. I will definitely stay here again.

The Sunset representative was very helpful in helping us secure a condo last minute. The only negative was checking into the property. We arrived late and the security guard informed is a parking pass was $25 and cash only. I didnā€™t have enough money so we went to an ATM (which in itself was an adventure, the first 2 machines we found were out of order). Upon entering our condo we found a parking pass and went back to security to get a refund which we did. I do t remember Sunset saying a parking pass would be in the condo.

We had a good stay DESPITE the management company

We were determined to have a good time and did so, despite the management company. When we checked in we realized we only had a small mini fridge. We were not aware of this, as the photo on the listing featured a full size fridge. We had a cart full of groceries. We called management and it took 30 minutes to get a call back. I asked to speak to a manager. They refused to call me and simply texted me back that they would not give my money back. They say it was written on the listing. I did not see that and even went back to look. The photos definitely did not show this. Other osiers occurred and they responded within a somewhat reasonable time frame. Code wouldnā€™t work to the lock, blow dryer didnā€™t work. It appears to me that they just donā€™t keep things up so they break at the inconvenience of the guest. Also, please note, their is an oil drilling rig right next door on shore. It is VERY loud and kind of ruins the ambiance of paying to be on the beach.
