Two bedrooms on the main floor and two more bedrooms upstairs provide plenty of space and privacy for all. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed on the main level and bedroom 4 has a queen and twin bed on the upper level. The home is well-stocked with all you need to enjoy the beach (beach chairs and beach towels) and the large kitchen is well-equipped for memorable meals to enjoy inside or on the large main balcony. The upstairs ocean-view bedroom also has a private balcony. Looking for a break from cooking? The historic town of Fernandina Beach is a short drive and has many wonderful restaurants, a wide variety of activities for all ages, and plenty of shops to enjoy. We'd be happy to make suggestions from our favorites! The island is lined with biking paths and plenty of places to launch a kayak, paddle board or boat either on the ocean side or the intercoastal side. You can also go to the undeveloped islands of Big Talbot and Little Talbot just to the south of Amelia Island where state parks protect access to unique habitats and beaches. These islands are all extremely bike-friendly!
This home does have stairs to the front entrance, as it is on the second and third floors of the building -- it is not handicap-accessible. This unique design, however, does mean that none of the bedrooms have living space above them, so prepare for privacy and quiet slumbers! This home has been rented privately for years, but we are just now listing it on VRBO which is why there are no ratings from former renters. You will love it!!
