Virginia's Keep is a wonderful property that is located directly on Greers Ferry Lake. The lake views are excellent any time of the year. Sunsets are priceless. The lake is steps away from the back door or deck. Your pontoon boat can be tied up at the shoreline for easy lake access. A boat launch is just a few hundred yards away.

The deck provides shade, sunshine, and unforgettable sunsets. Sip your morning coffee on the porch swing while you watch the hummingbirds and enjoy the peace and quiet of your home-away-from-home. There is a charcoal grill and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and telling stories.

The house is nicely furnished and offers plenty of room for the whole family. An air-conditioned sunroom has wall-to-wall windows to take it all in. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and it's own separate bath. The second bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and the third bedroom offers a full-sized bed. Both secondary bedrooms have access to a large hall bathroom. The walkout basement is newly remodeled and has a pool table (with ping-pong topper), foosball table, a Murphy pull-down bed, and lots of room with another large bathroom with shower.

This home sits on nearly an acre of land with a wonderful canopy of trees. Many species of animals, including deer, call this area home. In addition to the birds, turtles, and our “pet” red fox, we enjoyed a rare sighting of a bald eagle this past spring.

Some of the area attractions include golf, hiking, fishing, sailing, water skiing, jet-skiing, snorkeling, shopping and antiques. Or, just enjoy relaxing and catch up on that novel you’ve been meaning to finish. Play some badminton or croquet. Put together a puzzle on the deck while the kids chase lightning bugs. We provide the badminton, croquet, and a wide selection of puzzles. At night, there is a library of DVD’s for family enjoyment or you can bring your own.

If you need anything from town, Heber Springs is just a three minute drive away. In town, you’ll find restaurants and shops, including a Wal-Mart if you forgot your sunscreen.

Family Trip

We have stayed at this property and loved it each time. You can walk down to the water and swim or sit on the bank. There is also a public boat ramp two lots over.

Great stay

We had a great stay! The house is spacious and right on the water. The basement had ping pong an pool table that we all enjoyed in the evenings. The property was well kept and the water access was very nice. The owner was easy to talk to and work with, I recommend this property.

Lake vacation

The property was super nice and the hosts were quick to respond. We had an amazing time and the yard led right out to the lake. The house had every amenity we could need. The sunroom was my favorite place to sit and watch the sunset.

Lake vacation

The property was exactly as listed. The house was nice, and it was just a short walk to the lake where you could swim. Everyone loved the ping pong and pool table. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing lake getaway.

Long Weekend Getaway

We have stayed here before and the property is exactly as listed. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family of nine and had all of the amenities that we were looking for. The house was well stocked with the necessities of everyday living. We loved the fact that the lake was right out the back door. We took a portable canopy down to the lake and spent hours just swimming and relaxing. We love spending time at this property and I would recommend it to anyone.

The Perfect House!

This is our second stay at this lovely home and perfect for our two families. Tons of rooms, bed are comfy, kids loved the ping pong table & foosball (so did us parents, actually). Really enjoyed the outside deck in the morning with our coffee watching the boats go by. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything and more. Nice and quiet street. The owner, Margie, was extremely friendly, responsive and answered all our questions quickly. Highly recommend!

Family vacation

Everything was great we enjoyed our visit. Was very nice. Only problem was moldy basement. But we hardly used it at all. We put some fragrance room fresheners in it then it was better. We enjoyed the space and all of the surroundings. Would recommend it to all. because we had a great time being there together. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Family Thanksgiving

The property had a great location and plenty of room for a large group to spread out. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware to prepare a large meal. We enjoyed our stay here!

Annual Fourth Trip

This house is perfect for a large family or for multiple families! We enjoyed the porch with lake view and the sunroom with all of the windows! There was plenty of room for our kids to spread out and play games in the basement! The owners are so quick to respond!!

Beautiful Setting

This house is just as described in the listing. The house is shared by lots of beautiful trees, but through them you still have a lovely view of the lake. The owners were so easy to communicate with, always responding to questions quickly. A boat dock would have been nice, but we knew going in there wasn't one. I definitely recommend this home. We hope to be back!

Awesome Labor Day weekend!!

We had an awesome time!! Thanks so much! We had 9 guests and plenty of room for everyone. The grill worked great and we were able to tie our rented pontoon overnight at the water. So convenient. The owners answered all our questions promptly and we had a wonderful time.

Quiet, comfortable home perfect for multiple families

Our group of two families (4 adults and 5 children) was very comfortable in this home. We valued the many spaces that allowed for smaller groups to break off and be together (sun room, porch, deck, covered outdoor lower-level seating area, basement, living/dining room) as well as the overall large feel of the home and its lot. Communication with the owners was prompt, friendly and clear, and the house had been thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. We also enjoyed preparing our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. A big open question for us was what the lakefront actually looked like, and access from the home was easy enough. Future guests should know that there is little to no shade at the lakefront and that the water access is rocky. This didn't stop our fun however (add water shoes and an umbrella or shade structure, and you're good to go). We rented boats from the Damsite marina and enjoyed the cliff jumping option nearby. We also did some climbing at the Jamestown Crag about an hour away near Batesville and were treated to a beautiful mist on the Little Red River at the end of the Collins Creek trail. All in all this house was an excellent size and home base for our group, and we left the area after a busy week without having done and seen all we wanted to. Many thanks to the owners for making this beautiful space available to us!

Beautiful location!

This was our 2nd year to stay at this property. The location and accessibility to everything is priceless. Anything you could need is within 10 minutes. Walmart, beach, boat rentals, food, and much more. Only thing I recommend is to bring your own grill. We had a large group and it was a chore to grill for everyone on the 2 busted grills that were provided. Other than that I would recommend this property to anyone.
