CHAIN LAKE HIDEAWAY - This northwoods vacation home, tucked in the pines is located only 40 feet from the waters edge on the south shore of Chain Lake, one of 5 lakes of the Sugar Camp Chain. Located just 15 minutes from Eagle River, St. Germain and Three Lakes, this location allows easy access to snowmobile trails, paved bike trails and local attractions and will provide your family or friends with the perfect location to create your own vacation memories year round.

Nature here provides you with eagles overhead and the sights and sounds of ducks, loons and geese that also call Chain Lake their summer home. Guests of all ages will enjoy fishing from the dock and seeing tadpoles, frogs and spectacular lake views. For those who enjoy water sports, Chain Lake is the perfect spot for boating, fishing, tubing, water-skiing and ice-fishing. For the avid fisherman, the Chain of Lakes provide opportunities to catch muskies, walleye, northern pike, bass, crappies and panfish.

This home offers 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 7 guests. One bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has a twin over full bunk. There is also a queen sleeper/sofa with a 5" adjustable air mattress. This home has a large living room, dining room, full kitchen, dishwasher, 2 full bathrooms and a gas fireplace. This home has a private dock and plenty of windows that provides the perfect spot to enjoy a private getaway and up-close lake views. An outdoor firepit provides a great opportunity to relax in the evening under the stars. This home also has laundry facilities , A/C and Wi-Fi.

This home is also located near Pitlik's Resort. Take a ride by car, boat or bike and enjoy one of their famous Bloody Mary's, a warm meal, or fun in the game room. Here you will also have access to tennis, volleyball, basketball courts and beaches. This lakefront 4-season home will provide you with the perfect destination for creating your family memories in a peaceful, rustic location, with all of the comforts of home.

Pontoon boats available for rent. Pets considered, call ahead. **Additional fees for more than 5 guests and dogs.

R&R accomplished

This was our 2nd time staying at this property this year. We really needed a getaway and this was the place for us. Home is comfortable, very clean and has great amenities. Convenience of getting to Eagle River, lake being right out the back door and scenery is fantastic. Even saw a deer in the front yard and an eagle soaring over the dock. We are hoping to make this a yearly visit.

Relaxing vacation

Spent a week at the property and it exceeded expectations. Property was clean, well provisioned and comfortable furniture. Excellent fishing off of dock, a large variety of fish (very large bluegills, rock bass, crappie, sunfish, northern and even a musky). Will definitely return to this rental in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Nice Lake House

Nice lake house on Chain Lake. Loved how close we were to the water and the dock was great. We brought our pontoon and were able to visit all 5 lakes. I would definitely rent again.

Location was nice

All things were good. Location was close to Eagle River and St. Germain. Out side needs some TLC, but inside was good. Kitchen had everything needed to cook . Nice big living room and lots of sitting area. TV channels are limited. but you are there for the outdoor experience. The fire pit area was nice and the dock was nice. Fishing off the dock was good. The dog loved the jumping off the dock and swimming . Boat landing small, but only 2 doors down the road. Chain of lakes was nice giving a variety of experiences. I would go back.

Nice lake cabin

This cabin is nicely situated on the shores of the sugar camp chain. The dock is very nice and the cabin worked well for our family of three. The fire pit was great in the evenings and the cabin was a nice size.

Ice fishing getaway

Good location, easy to get to a number of lakes to fish. House was well stocked with the bedding and bath linens as well as general kitchen items. Enjoyed relaxing in the living room with fireplace going. About 15 minute drive to stores to stock up on everything needed.

lakeside relaxation

We enjoyed our stay at this house on the lake. Communication with the property manager was easy, as was entrance to the property. The property itself is what we expected. The setting was lovely ,right on the lake. We made use of the screened gazebo and rented the pontoon for a day. The back yard is right on the water and includes a fire pit. The house is well equipped. The furniture is older but comfortable. It is what we expected from a rental house. The house could use a thorough cleaning, however. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean but the furniture needed a dusting. Overall, we enjoyed staying here and felt we got our money's worth.

Relaxing week

My wife, son, and I enjoyed our week at this property. We also appreciated that we were able to bring along our small dog, which also had a good time. Gary responded quickly to communications and we took advantage of the opportunity to rent a pontoon which was conveniently kept at the property. We are able to check out all five lakes in the chain, and it was not crowded even though there were several nice days to be out. The cabin is convenient to Eagle River for groceries, but it was set up with everything else you need. We would come again. Thank you.

Peaceful stay

Property is just as beautiful as the description. Easy access to lake. Very well appointed. Pontoon rental was well worth it as there is access to several lakes via the channels. Beautiful scenery. Owner was very personable and easy to reach.

Nice property, beautiful location, great outdoor space

My family and I spent a week at this property and we really enjoyed it. The location was excellent - very close to St. Germain, Eagle River, and the Sugar Camp beach. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space that was just a few feet off of the lake and included a very nice fire pit we enjoyed almost every evening. The cabin was comfortable but not as clean as we would have liked. Otherwise it was a great week and we would recommend this property.

Fantastic Vacation

Thanks for the amazing week, Gary! We had a great time. The bunk beds in the second bedroom were a surprise, but we made it work. Fishing was great! We caught Crappie, Bluegill and even some Northern. Thanks for a memorable week!

Amazing Property

We had an amazing family weekend. The house and property were beautiful. The private location and access to the lake with the private pier was a plus. We were even brought firewood for the fire pit out back!! Everyone had a great time. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. The house was also fully stocked with everything we needed! We will definitely be back for another weekend. Gary was easy to communicate with always got back to us right away with any questions.

Winter stay

Our stay was very nice at Gary’s place. Kitchen items were new and basically had everything we needed. Place was very clean. View of lake in the winter was very pretty. We were in eagle river for a hockey tournament, and it was about a 15 min drive to town. There were no instructions on working the Fireplace, but we figured it out on our last night there how to use it properly, it made the place very cozy. Thank you for a very nice stay. We would recommend your place to anyone. John and Val

Great Place and Location

The house is right on Chain Lake and you have to walk about 60 feet to get to the dock with a great view! Fire pit located right next to the water, a great dock for your boat, a very clean house with comfortable beds, washer and dryer onsite...everything you need for a great weekend. Gary was great with communication and made it a great experience all around! I recommend it to anyone!

Up north getaway

We had a great time at this cabin! The photos do not show how much space you have to spread out which was very nice traveling with an 8 month old and a dog. While there are neighbors in both sides you do not notice them since trees line both sides of this property making a great private spot. Water was wonderful to swim in, rent kayaks and enjoy the views while sitting in the doc. Highly recommend!

I was raised just a mile down the road on this lake and lived here until college. Growing up on this Chain of Lakes was incredible. We spent countless hours camping, fishing, swimming, boating, ice-fishing and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Having grown up as a kid on this lake it has always been my dream to once again live on this lake. I purchased a home just minutes away 5 years ago so I wasn't looking to move, however, I couldn't pass this cabin up when it came up for sale. Being able to share the beauty of Chain Lake with visitors to the northwoods is the reason I purchased this home. Enjoy!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I always like to refer our Chain of Lakes to visitors as the Northern Everglades. No gators, however, once you tour the 5 lakes by boat you'd know what I mean. Seventy Five percent of our twenty-five + miles of shoreline are owned by the State of Wisconsin, thus keeping many acres of shoreline in its natural wilderness state. Sizes of our lakes range from the smallest of 107 acres to the largest of 744 acres, all connected with hundreds of acres of winding thoroughfares. Lake depths range up to 40’ deep. Our lakes are spring and wetland fed with various creeks. Our chain of lakes eventually runs into the Rainbow Flowage at the dam on Dam Lake and on into the Wisconsin River and exits at the Gulf of Mexico. If you visit during the spring/summer/fall seasons, I urge you to take a boat tour of the chain.
