Simply put, this was the most incredible rental experience imaginable. We’ve been lucky to travel extensively and stay at many wonderful properties, but Hal and Jill are truly a class above the rest. The property is breathtaking and not a single detail went unnoticed. It was immaculately clean, and well stocked with every pot, pan, utensil, you might need. Every room was thoughtfully curated - remotes labeled, outlets well-positioned, towels and other linens luxurious, soap, shampoo, conditioner in every shower. Even the knives were sharpened. Remotes are labeled, instructions for use and enjoyment are simple and posted where you need them. Seriously - not a single detail was missed. The views from this property are the stuff of dreams - that much was obvious from the listing. What wasn’t immediately obvious until booking was that Hal and Jill are true professionals who put a lot of care and love into being hosts. They are so deserving of all the praise given to them on this site. This is the kind of place you will want to revisit to share with friends and family. Just an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. We are already planning a return trip as we wait for our flight home.

A Gem in Bucerias

This penthouse was amazing! It had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. The location was great for walking to the many shops and restaurants in Bucerias. Steps from a warm swimmable ocean and a beautiful infinity pool too! Hal and Jill are wonderful hosts.We will definitely be back again!

Great trip!

We had a great family trip to Bucerias. The condo was exactly as advertised. Location was amazing, condo was beautiful and the sunsets were nothing short of spectacular. Hal and Jill were always super prompt to reply and when we ran into a tiny issue, Teresa, the property manager, was quick to get it resolved. We can’t wait to come back to Bucerias again!

Family Vacation

We had an unbelievable time at Hal & Jill's home in Bucerias. The condo is spacious, clean & comfortable and the view is spectacular. Our kids loved the shared pool and having picnics on the shady second floor patio with their own private pool to cool.Jill & Hal have ensured that the condo has everything you need to really feel at home; appliances, plateware/glassware etc and even a little storage area with beach toys etc. Also, if you are traveling with kids all the outdoor areas lock securely which was great.Both the hosts and the property management team were extremely responsive. We felt truly taken care of and are so grateful for the time we were able to spend there.I highly recommend this beautiful space; surrounded by great restaurants, nice people and the constant sound of gentle waves hitting the sand.

Birthday Celebration in Bucerias

We had an amazing time at the penthouse condo in Bucerias! We were there to celebrate my parent’s birthdays. The condo is laid out perfectly for multiple adults/couples (which was us this trip)- everyone had their own space but we were able to spend quality time together on both balconies. The whales are currently down in the bay so we had a front row view of them in action. This condo is central to everything- great walks on the beach, wonderful pool, friendly neighbors, wonderful shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place- Jill and Hal were great to work with and super responsive with any questions we had! 5 stars!

Not as well maintained⁹

very good location remarkable viewsunfortunately spent the first week dealing with workman to repair and remove some black mold and repair leeks but the property manager was very responsive to getting the work done but did put a damper on our first week of three holiday here. The dishwasher functioned properly maybe 60% of the time. The upholstery on the chairs at the table was very soiled as was the living room rug.

Perfect - Beyond what was advertised

What a wonderful place, was so much better than expected, and based on the listing, our expectations were set at a very high bar. Jill and Hal are the perfect hosts as they will do everything to ensure a wonderful experience is had by all. This was supported by Teresa the Property Manager, with her immediate response and care to correct any little hic-up that might occur. What a wonderful experience, the location was second to none, the building, gym, pool are all well maintained which adds to the experience. We cannot wait to go again, and enjoy all that the area has to offer. Thank you again Jill and Hal. P.S. Go on an ebike/taco tour, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you, Jill and Hal for sharing your beautiful home with us! The penthouse was perfect for our family vacation! We loved the views from both balconies and the open air living spaces. The location is perfect. We enjoyed several of your suggested restaurants—all walking distance. We especially enjoyed Karen’s. Punta Arena Condo

We stayed at Hal & Jill's penthouse condo in Bucerias for 8 days in mid September and we couldn't have had a better experience! The condo is exactly as you see on their site. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is fully set up, and the washer /dryer are an added bonus. The condo is within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and coffee shops/pastry shops, and quick groceries, several of which are included in Jill's suggestion list. As you leave the gated property you are within 50 steps to the arch bridge which connects you to the crafts market and the village plaza. We enjoyed our private spa on the second level and the beautiful pool. Bucerias is a quiet village but perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views and great food. We had a minor problem with one of the AC remotes and Teresa, the property manager, was quick to respond. The 3 bed/bath property is great for a group, family, or for 3 couples. The area is quiet and safe and the beach is very nice. We very much enjoyed our stay at Punta Arena.

What a wonderful vacation

Great property that met all expectations! Great location!

Looks amazing on Vrbo and does not disappoint in person. My wife and two teenage age daughters are already lobbying to come back to the same place. Safe area close to everything and gated. Pool and beach are as good as they look in pictures. We would love to stay again. Thanks.

Amazing place and perfect location

We can’t say enough about this place. The condo was amazing and exactly as advertised. This was our second time staying in Bucerias and this location is perfect….short walk to the market and Centro area, and short walks to many amazing restaurants and stores on the south side of the foot bridge. The owners are quick to answer any questions you have and the property manager is as well. Beautiful views from the decks as well as from the infinity pool that is right on the beach. We had a fabulous time and definitely want to come back when the weather is not quite as humid!

Fantastic location and great hosts!

Our family of 5 stayed in this amazing condo in Bucerias. The location was fantastic and very easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condo itself was as pictured, extremely well maintained with views of the sunset each night that were breathtaking. The hosts were wonderful and gracious - helping us out with a last minute request. The common property and pool were maintained exceptionally well and there was never any shortage of pool chairs. The only thing to note is that there is a new building going up next door - so there is some construction noise - but we did not find that it bothered us. We will definitely return - was a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

Great condo, lots of surrounding construction at the moment

This condo is great - the location is perfect for walking to restaurants, the beach is long and great to walk on, the view is amazing, the kitchen is well equipped, the pool is lovely. At the moment the the building has two new condos being constructed on either side of it and it's very noisy 8am-6pm, Monday-Saturday. Once this construction is complete, I'd definitely return.

Would stay again

Really enjoyed our stay here. There was construction next door (both sides) which we were unaware of but it was still a very positive experience. Many little details like English speaking TV to watch the World Cup soccer, a good coffee machine, beach toys to use, a very well provisioned, tasteful condo, quick resolution of any questions or concerns. We loved being able to get takeout at nearby restaurants and eating out on the deck overlooking the beach for dinner. Many nice people in the building live there for the winter.

Two weeks of Bliss

What a fantastic vacation spot this is. The description is just as stated if not better. The location in Bucerías couldn’t be any better. The views from the condo, the walking distance to all restaurants in the market/town Square are all a very easy walk. We were there for two weeks and did not find a restaurant we wouldn’t return to. Bucerias is a wonderful and relatively quiet town with fabulous people. However it’s only a 30 minute taxi ride to Puerto Vallarta if you’re looking for more lively nightlife. The condo itself is very clean and has all the essentials one needs. Besides sleeping, we spent the majority of our time while in the condo, on the beautiful balcony. Early morning with coffee, late afternoon relaxing before heading out to dinner and wind down night time with glass of wine. We alternated between the two balconies as both have unique features. Initially we were be at the condo in the spring of 2021, however, of course Covid hit. Hal and Jill worked with us and allowed us to move the date to 2022. Thank you again for that. Throughout the process, they respond promptly and were extremely helpful. Although we barely watched it, we had a mild problem with the TV, however, it was quickly rectified by Teresa the property manager. She can be very helpful if needed and responds quickly. Will we return? No question about it we are already looking forward to it.

Lots of good things about our stay in spite of a family injury

We stayed in the condo for two weeks. We have stayed in the Punta Arena condo complex before, and it is one of our favorites in Bucerias, which is our favorite beach time. The views from the balcony are spectacular, and both the condo property manager Teresa and Punta Arena staff are extremely responsive and helpful. When one of our sister-in-law fell on the stairs, hit her head and broke her arm, Teresa especially, our favorite security guard and a couple of lovely winter residents at the condos jumped into action, got us immediate care and an ambulance and followed up to make sure we had everything she needed. Teresa is a gem - because of this but also she was very responsive to any other needs or requests we had. Our brother-in-law stayed with his injured wife at the local hospital, which is new, very professional and provided excellent care. While those two did miss most of their vacation, they were impressed with the kindness and care they received. The other four of us did take a couple of days for a spectacular boat ride to whale watch and a drive up to San Sebastián (very interesting small town in the hills). The condo had everything we needed except a baking dish of any kind (we wanted to bake a quiche and some brownies for a birthday celebration), so we donated a large glass baking dish (there is a broiler pan, cookie sheet and everything else we wanted). It was extremely convenient that the kitchen sink and refrigerator have filtered water. All communications were excellent, and we appreciate that.

Ideal...absolutely perfect!

We could not have had a more perfect accommodation, location, or well appointed condo. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels, and kitchen ware. The view spectacular and spotted several whales. We arranged airport transportation with property manager which was courteous and on time. Even stopped at the store. Never even needed a taxi after that, all was within walking. Also set up required covid test at CMQ before arrival. We are truly planning our return based on this property availability.
