River Rock Ridge is truly a one of a kind New River front home majestically perched in the bend of the river with views from each room of this custom cabin.
Main Level: The main level offers gas log fireplace in the greatroom with vaulted ceiling, custom leather furniture, Smart Flatscreen TV with Satellite. Dining area with sliding doors to the covered deck, farm table, breakfast nook, spacious well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, both drip and Keurig coffee maker, and all you desire for a large family meal.Master suite offers king bedroom set, on-suite full bath, satellite-smart TV, and access to the covered deck. Main level also offers laundry area and half bath.
Upper Level: 2 spacious bedrooms, one with smart TV and desk. Full bathroom with tub/shower.
Lower Level: Spacious family room offers satellite-smart TV, reclining sofa and bunk with twin & full sleeping. Smart Satellite TV. Third full bath with walk-in shower.
Outside enjoy the main level covered deck overlooking the New River and mountain views. Gated for your small dog and children. It offers high-top patio set with gas fire pit, 4 rocking chairs, and covered charcoal grill just off the deck. (NO Deep Fryers to be used on property.) Open wood burning fire pit, a short walk between the New River and the cabin. Walk down to the river and enjoy the riverside fire pit. The kids will enjoy the tree swing. Three kayaks are provided for your use. Guests to provide their own life jackets.

This was absolutely the CLEANEST VRBO I have ever stayed in. The pics online do not do it justice. It’s gorgeous and also very roomy! Lots of stairs down to the water, but very family friendly. Nice beach area with a fun swing. I will definitely be visiting this one again. Communication was awesome with 4 seasons! They were awesome and so helpful.

Relaxing river stay!

I grew up in this area and always love coming back and letting my boys play in the same river I did. The house was amazing. Everything you could want. The boys enjoyed the porch swings. The only thing I would critic is the road to the house is a little steep and narrow. Everything else was just amazing. Did I mention relaxing! :)

The community gravel roadway to this home is a secondary road and those can definitely be more narrow and inclined than our local main roads. Great spot

Close to canoe rental companies, enjoyed the river access and fire pit on property. House is good size for about 8 people. Upstairs can get warm with only "natural" A/C. Really appreciate the linens/towels provided and easy check out steps.

Little slice of Heaven!

We really enjoyed this beautiful property. Very remote and quiet. Loved sitting on the porch just listening to the river and birds. Very well kept and clean!

Beautiful Location

The house is just as described and the photos are accurate. We had a group of six adults and there was plenty of room for all. Our favorite location seemed to be the porch which overlooked the river. We ventured out to West Jefferson and the Blue Ridge Parkway that are approximately 20 minutes away. The kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill every night for dinner. If you are looking for a beautiful house in a secluded area with wonderful views I would definitely recommend River Rock Ridge.

Simply amazing!

Wow, just wow! This property and the location are extraordinary! The pictures don't even do it justice. The river is beautiful and peaceful and the swing is a nice touch. We wanted for nothing. Comfortable, spotless, well-stocked and homey. The porch is our favorite spot. The view is priceless! Terrific fire pit with ample wood and paper too. Super comfy beds too. This cabin a true gem! And the care and effort put into making it a home away from home is evident. And did mention how clean it is?!?! Fabulous! We'll be back for sure!

New River NC Fall 23 Visit

The property is perfect for a large group retreat. Ample space and we’ll-stocked kitchen and dining area, great room and gathering space around the fireplace. Plenty of windows to enjoy the spectacur hillside view of the New River and surrounding woods. Three full separate/private bedrooms and a large lower level bunk bed and convertible sofa playroom and full batch on the lower level. Ideal for kids and thwir friends to enjoy the stay. The grounds surrounding the lodge style home are perfectly groomed and several acres of activity area. Fire pit, rope swing, plenty of moveable seating, a river overlook swing. Unlike many remote “cabin in the woods” rentals, it looks, “smells” and feels like it is an estate in the city. Not musty, damp, cobwebbed. Nice and we’ll appointed in a rustic style. Beds used were very comfortable. Plan to return for a couple of weeks in the summer to escape our 110+ temperatures here in Scottsdale in the summer. A great family spot.

Great cabin, but beware in the winter!

We throughly enjoyed the cabin and all the amenities! Would love to return in the summer! It happened to snow almost the entire trip so we enjoyed sledding around the property. It is very secluded and off a dirt road that’s off a dirt road! It is highly suggested to have 4x4 in the winter, which we all did abd still had ALOT of problems. The driveway is very steep and paved.. but was covered in a layer of ice and snow when we arrived. The owners did not provide snow shovels or salt, which we would have loved to know ahead of time. After contacting the realty company we were told we would need salt, but there was no way of getting out of the driveway to get any. Luckily, we walked to neighboring houses and they had shovels. We spent hours cleaning the driveway to leave the property to get salt. A 4x4 vehicle can only do but so much when the roads are icy and snow is packed. Highly recommend being prepared!!

This cabin actually closed for the winter following your stay due to the harsher winter weather that our area experienced this year. In the winter we highly suggest 4x4 and tire chains. Many of our owners choose to provide a shovel & salt for guest in the winter. We will suggest this to the owner of River Rock Ridge for future winter stays. Beautiful Property

Beautiful property! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again! A few words of warning - It would be super challenging to get to the property in the winter as the road up to it are steep and narrow. Phone service is very limited as would be expected in a remote location. Thanks for a great vaca!
