Kodiak - Hot Tub/Sauna

We finished building this modern Scandinavian cabin in spring 2020. The cabin sits at the end of the road on a private lot with a perfect view of sunsets over the nature side of the lake. Drive past farm fields and into the woods, turning onto our private gravel road, where you'll arrive at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake, or jump in for a swim! You'll feel completely immersed in nature even when indoors with the huge wall of windows. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the dock.

About Long Lake:
Long Lake is a beautiful, serene feeling lake in Comstock, WI. The lake is on the smaller side, at 68 acres (44 feet deep) and is fully recreational. It is great for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing. You are welcome to bring your own motorized boat if you like, and dock it at the cabin. A magical getaway

We had the most wonder stay at Kodiak. My husband, dog, and I stayed for two weeks. The house is gorgeous, stunning, and perfectly curated. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. We spent a ton of time down by the lake on the pier. We took out the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards almost daily. Itā€™s the perfect location if you have a dog too. Super remote and far from any neighbors or roads. The lake is quiet too - perfect for a relaxing get away. I canā€™t say enough about how perfect this place is. We plan to make this an annual event! Great hits too! Super communicative and kind.

Lovely cabin that's just as pictured

I stayed with two friends for a long weekend at this lovely property. The cabin is gorgeous and thoughtfully appointed and supplied. Everything we needed for cooking several meals was available, the two large sofas were comfortable, the shower was fabulous, and the bedrooms were quiet and conducive to a good night's sleep. Know that you're deep in the woods and in June in this part of the world that means a lot of flying pests. There was bug spray at the cabin and we brought a Thermacell, so we were able to enjoy sitting on the deck and dock. We'd definitely return, perhaps in winter to enjoy the snow covered scenery. Communication was great and check-in was easy. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Great lake access and beautiful, comfortable cabin

A beautiful, private location with easy access to the lake for our dogs to fetch bumpers, and for the people to set off in a canoe or kayaks. And the cabin is beautiful, too, and so comfortable to enjoy meals at the large table and movies in the living room--with two couches for maximum relaxation! We definitely hope to come back.

Perfectly Relaxing!

We had an incredibly relaxing and comfortable stay at Kodiak. Our family of four (two adult kids) loved every bit of it. Clean, comfortable, accommodating, and did I say relaxing?! And, I don't know how this is possible, but I do not have one single mosquito bite!??!?! :) Definitely want to come back and experience other seasons there as well.

We had such a wonderful stay at Kodiak. The lake is beautiful, the location is quiet and isolated, and the house is very comfortable and stylish. Stephanie was very responsive to questions, and everything went very smoothly during the stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get away for a few days.

Beautiful, peaceful getaway

Our family of four had a really lovely five night stay. The cabin is new, beautiful, and in perfect condition with lots of comforts like an instant-on fireplace, large screen tv (which we didnā€™t think weā€™d use but it was fun to watch a couple movies together at night after a long day of being outside) and a fully-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Swimming was ok but the lake was pretty murky during our stay so if you have fussy swimmers that might be good to know in advance. Try the 5 Oā€™Clock supper club for an authentic Wisconsin experience.

Modern cabin getaway

We had a lovely week staying at this modern cabin on a lake. We made good use of the lake, kayaks, paddle boards, as well as the grill and firepit. Lots of wildlife: dragonflies, inchworms, deer, and turtles. Big kitchen table is great for playing games. Host was very responsive when we asked questions. Starlink internet went out a couple of times, but always came back within minutes. Beds are on the softer side. Highly recommend!

First stay at new Nordic cabin

This new cabin is beautiful! Itā€™s very bright and sunny, unlike many other cabins. The dĆ©cor is Scandinavian modern and reminds me of the Viking River Cruises ship dĆ©cor. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The view of the lake from the cabin is perfect. The setting is lovely. Itā€™s on the smaller, quieter part of the lake, although the whole area is pretty quiet and laid back. The water is generally very calm for kayaking, especially early and later in the day. The kayaks are new and have foot braces to make them more comfortable. The life jackets are also new and very nice. We didnā€™t swim, but it looks like the water is clear and the bottom is sandy, so it should be good for swimming later in the spring and in summer. Behind the cabin is a bog pond with wildflowers and new ferns. Large white trillium were in full bloom during our late May stay. My husband was excited about the large TV and the internet service, since he always likes to stay connected while on vacation. He also spent time of the dock playing with his RC speedboat that he got for his 70th birthday. We plan to return to the cabin later this year and every future year. It makes a nice getaway with only a 90 minute drive from our home in the Twin Cities.

Wonderful Getaway Cabin

Our stay here was excellent! Very spacious, open, clean, cozy cabin. Perfect place even when the weather has to keep you indoors with all the windows and fireplace. It also has an awesome lake view making it still enjoyable and relaxing. Beautiful views of the sunsets at night over the lake. Perfect for sitting on the dock and watching. Nice, quite lake to enjoy a kayaking adventure. Dogs loved to run the wooded area around the cabin! Quite, private location. Fast response from property manager with any questions/concerns we had! Will definitely be staying here again!
