This fine Emerald Towers unit has a cozy coastal design. You will surely enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico as well as a perfect view of the pool area from a private second floor balcony. The kitchen is equipped with full size upgraded appliances as well as everything needed to make home cooked meals. The living room is well appointed with recently upgraded living room furniture including a sofa sleeper, matching loveseat, nice end and coffee tables, a flat screen TV, and a DVD player. There is plenty of dining seating with table for four as well as bar stools. The master bedroom offers a comfortable retreat from the beach with a nice quality king bed, designer bedding, a flat screen TV, a DVD, and access to the Gulf front balcony. The guest bedroom features a cozy Queen bed, a flat screen TV, and a DVD player. Also enjoy a CD stereo system and a private washer and dryer.

Room was clean and right above the pool. Itā€™s on the second floor so you had a view of the beach without it being too high up. The only thing is I wish they had more pots and pans for cooking. As a family of 4 we wanted to stay in and eat instead of going out for every meal but they were limited on pots and pans and there wasnā€™t a single skillet. Other than that small thing, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful view when the beach umbrellas are gone. The refrigerator had an awful leak, broken crockpot and the rugs could have used a good cleaning.

home needs some TLC

Check in was not what we wanted we got there early and couldnā€™t check in. the Kitchen was not good. coffee box glass had a chuck out of the bottom so we couldnā€™t use that. crockpot was all broken up. couldnā€™t use that. you have to open the oven door to open the dish washer and you still canā€™t pull the bottom rack out to load it unload dishes. the carpet in the bed rooms need to be removed ASAP. The smells old and musty. the shag rug in den we were scared to sit in it bc we didnā€™t know if it was clean. pots and pan were really in need of being replaced. husband had to use a knife to screw the handle on the frying pan. but most disturbing and I would really like to get a tesponse from someone at VRBO IS we were told by text that we did get two chairs and a umbrella and when we went down there they said oh no, thatā€™s just on their website. They should take that down. I had sent a text as I said earlier and one of the people responded back and said we do get two chairs and one umbrella, but they would not let us have it. They said there was only two or three condos that got that and our condo was not on the list so my husband had to pay out-of-pocket 180 for two chairs and an umbrella for our stay. I feel like we should be reimbursed for that so for future reference to whoever decides to stay at Emerald Towers and go through VRBO please let everyone know even though people tell us we get our chairs and umbrella as complementary as part as the money that we have paid for.

Very outdated, ripped chair seats, old worn furniture, no lock on balcony door, no top lock on front door, tub stopper broke, dishwasher will not open unless the oven door is open, waffle maker still had old mix in it, cabinets with the cutting boards had old food in it, balcony chair broken, and worst of all a dead roach under the bedsheets ( this completely grossed us out).

Spring Break at the Beach

Property was excellent, beautiful landscaping and views and maintenance was always taking such good care of the property and site. As far as the unit itself, the beds were comfy and we had most everything we needed. EXCEPTā€” oven mitts and extra pillows and blankets for the pullout couch. The one sheet and fuzzy blanket were NOT enough to keep us warm on the bed without cranking the heat way up. Also, they gave us pillow cases for the pullout couch but NO extra pillows. So we had to use the throw pillows from the couchā€¦and when we called for more blankets we were told that the unit is not provided more blankets. So to the next renterā€” bring your own extra pillows and blankets!!

This unit 203 we will never stay in again!

The balcony furniture was in the living room upon arrival. We had to move that before we could even get to the master bedroom or the balcony. Carpet in the master was not attached to the baseboard (have photo) and it was buckled in the middle where you could step in a ā€œholeā€. Obviously no padding there. Outlets on balcony didnā€™t work. One outlet in the master bathroom didnā€™t work. Sliding door lock to the balcony from master bedroom didnā€™t work so you couldnā€™t lock it - remember this is 2nd floor easily reached with a ladder. Guest bathroom shower mostly came out the faucet instead of the shower head. Cushions on Sofa in living room were worn out. When sitting the person in the middle sank making the ppl on the ends fall to center. We mostly sat on the floor which is where we found peanuts in the rug obviously not vacuumed (have pics) The dead bolt lock is broken (have pics). The door stopper to front door is also broken (have pics) making it hard to get the luggage cart in and out - someone had to hold it. No cable in guest bedroom. TV in master so small my husband had to wear his distance glasses to watch TV. Stained curtains (have pics). Water damage spots on ceiling and top of wall above bathroom entrance (have pics). All in all worst unit weā€™ve ever stayed in over the last 20 years - also noted the 1st time weā€™ve rented through Vacasa. šŸ¤”

Beach trip

Overall, our stay was wonderful. However, the sofa bed in the living room needs to be replaced. It was not able to be used. Also, in the master bedroom, the noise from the 1st floor sliding door to the pool area was horrible.

Worst room I have ever stayed in

As soon as we checked in the smell of the room was overwhelming..it smelt s bad. The furniture and carpet was wet, two of the three TVs were broken, internet did not work, bathroom sink & toilet bowl did not work. Black mold on the ceilings. Last night the carpet in the master bedroom was soaking wet on the closet & along the bathroom. Contacted Vcasa as soon as we checked in, am still dealing with them almost two weeks later. Nothing was fixed, sent a repair guy to fix the TV twice but he couldnā€™t, he did get the internet working. Plumber has an emergency so bathroom sink & toilet was never fixed. After two nights of a three night stay they dropped off an air purifier. Spent my short vacation on the phone, text & emails with so many different people from Vcasa, trying to get these problems fixed, no success. Still no compensation has been refunded to my credit card. Keep being told someone will call me back & no one does.

Emerald towers 203 AVOID

The unit was extremely dirty, very dated, everything was extremely worn out. The dishwasher door to open you had to first open open the oven door and then angle the rack up. You also had to slam the door and hold it to get it to run. The dryer did not work the entire stay however we were compensated for that. The locks on the patio door did not work. The window lock to my 8 year olds room did not lock. The window is straight across from the elevator which made the situation scarier for us. Also the slam latch on the unit had been removed. We called Vacasa the day we checked in and finally heard back from them 2 days later. Maintenance showed up a day and half later. Everything you touched in the unit had a black film of filth. This is the 10th time renting other units from Vacasa and never had this horrible of a stay.

Beautiful view

Great location, easy access to beach and pool. Couple of things, Dishwasher is in a awkward location and could not open door very well. Also, condo smelled of mildew and could see on ceiling. Maintenance did come an spray and it was a lot better--With this said, I will rent this Condo again because it was still fabulous and they are doing alot of construction and upgrades to the building, it will be great to see next year.

The place was nice and roomy for my family of five for sleeping. There wasnā€™t much on TV and not many options for movies in down time unless you bring your own DVDā€™s. The view was beautiful from the room, but be aware the balcony is even with the pool and all incoming and outgoing beach traffic can be noisy. Beach access was quick and easy. Great location in Destin and the staff at the ET were nice and helpful.

Needs deep cleaning and updating

While this property is in a great location, it needs an overhaul. The carpets are gross and should be replaced, the kitchen sink looks like it doesnā€™t fit properly, the fridge needs a cleaning on the outside (inside was spotless) and the furniture and bathrooms need updating. We didnā€™t like that there isnā€™t a manager or something after 5:00, as we had a few unruly guests above us and with the pool outside of the windows, we heard everything. The washer, dryer, stove and microwave were all new and were great. Close to the beach and umbrellas and chairs are reasonable. Had it not been for the carpets and unruly neighbors, Iā€™d give it 4 stars.

Roaches and Unit in horrible condition

We rented a condo from you March 19 thru March 23. For my husband birthday weekend..when we entered the unit and bedding had a weird chemicals smell to it. The same evening i had saw roaches in the kitchen coming out of the stove, toaster, and later in the bathroom. When we went to the office they said they were aware of the roach issue and that they had sprayed days before our arrival... now knowing that weird smell was the spraying of roaches. And the unit was in poor condition. The coffee maker did not work. The office stated they were aware and had told your company that it needed repairs and that appliances needed to be replaced due to the roach infestations. They said that they could not change our room or help us and that we needed to call you. I am demanding a partial refund on the unit due to the nasty roaches. That is truly horrible. How can you rent a condo with such issues it is a health hazard. I have photo of the infestation I can send
