Magnolia House 212 is located inside the Destin Pointe gated community, off the beaten path, on Holiday Isle. This hidden gem, although in a quiet community, is only minutes away to shopping, beach activities, restaurants, a water park, and so much more! This wonderful unit is located on the 2nd floor and provides unobstructed views of the Destin Pass from a spacious private balcony. Unit 212 is an end unit and provides all the comforts of home. An open floor plan providing a living area with sofa sleeper, dining area, and complete with a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. A TV, free Wi-Fi, and a private, furnished balcony with fantastic views are extras necessities for a terrific vacation! The main bedroom features a king-size bed, light-and-airy airy bedding, wall-mounted TV, and a private bath with granite counter and tile surround tub. The second bedroom offers two full-size beds and wall-mounted TV makes for a perfect place for the kids to hang out. The second hall bath also has tile surround and granite counter.

THINGS TO KNOW:
Seasonal beach service (one umbrella and two chairs) is included. This service begins March 15 and ends October 31.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 2.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice home

It was very nice home. It had all the equipment it stated for kitchen, and it was very nice. It's not updated on furniture but it does have a beach charm.

Family vacation

We enjoyed the views from balcony & loved that it was an end unit with more privacy. Loved the pool & beach. Was not aware that the bayside did not offer chairs, but figured out a few days laterthey were on gulf beach side which has more waves, but a positive that boats weren’t constantly pulling up & dropping off groups for snorkeling, etc. Looks like a beautiful new pool area underway by the beach. Never tire of the beautiful water! We’ll be back❣️

Spring Break 2025

The property is nice and not a far walk from the beach. Parking is easy and on site. The place is clean just needs updating. The bed in the master bedroom is extremely noisy and not comfortable. If you move everyone will hear you. The couch cushions are worn out to the point where the frame is digging into your legs when you’re sitting. The washer is extremely noisy. The sun beams in through the sliding glass doors on the balcony but that’s the price you pay for the view. There is no longer a beach shuttle to take you to and from the beach. We left a day early because of construction noise going on above us. I received a refund for 114 which was appreciated but didn’t cover the cheapest hotel that night.The closest beach is for Emerald guest and they won’t let you use the umbrellas and chairs, you can see this beach from the balcony. You will need to go to the beach on Destin Point. This beach is where you can use the umbrellas and chairs.

A total failure

What did we love? Not much. The place was run down, even with all the prior reviews complaining about it. The was poorly stocked. (No glasses, but 20 cups, non matching pots, plates, etc. The restrooms for the pool were closed the entire time. (VERY annoying) I tried to let Vacasa know and was told they would get back to me. Its been a month and Ive heard NOTHING. Ive been pretty happy with them up until now and can see their customer service is really going downhill. The worst time we've had at Mognilia House in the 15 YEARS we've been going. (Usually twice a year)

Walking into the home is exciting, but once you are there you start to look around, and notice worned furniture, seat cushions that are stained, and the house had a small odor of pet. The master bedroom shower liner needed replacing as it had mildew on the bottom. There should to be a better place for extra towels and not just on the bottom of th cabinet seems a little unsanitary. The outdoor patio furniture is starting to get holes in the chairs. The diverter in the hall bath wouldn't open and tub drain seems clogged as it fills with water while showering. Not sure if inspections are being done after housekeeping is complete. A bar of soap from the previous guest was left behind in the bathroom. Once we got past those housekeeping issues with my own cleaning, we enjoyed it.

Once is Enough

Condo looked and smelled clean. However, unit is in need of updating. Curtains did not cover wall of windows in LR. Furniture is extremely worn and just dirty. Beds were clean but not very comfortable. Drawer which held forks, etc could not be opened unless dishwasher was opened first. Patio furniture is badly rusted. Had to call for blankets as there were no extras anywhere. No Keurig but we bought one. Shuttle to beach only ran Tuesday-Thursday (no weekend days). Elevator did not go to ground floor where parking was which made taking luggage, etc more difficult. Oddly, there’s no handicap access to building but a handicap ramp into pool. Stairs everywhere. Online picture’s don’t show the real condition of the unit.

I was not satisfied

First let me start off by saying this is not my family and I first time staying at the magnolia house 212. Our other visits were always top tier. This recent experience was different unfortunately. The lock latch was broken on front door which made my family and feel unsafe. Once we entered the home the smell was not pleasant at all. The home did not smell clean or fresh! The furniture in the living room is filthy and deteriorating! White substance on dresser in the master bedroom. The sheets on lay out couch was not the cleanest. The sheets had a few dirt spots on them. The big light in the kitchen was not working at all. So we prepared meals the best way possible with little lighting during our entire stay. I called guest services and they informed me that someone would be reaching back out to me to handle these issues and no one contacted me back at all! I hope no other guest has to deal with these issues and they are resolved quickly as possible!!!

Wow…..the view! Stop right there.

That’s pretty much it. We LOVE Destin Pointe! We stayed in one of the units on the 5th Flr in 2018 and it was amazing. Unit 212 was not cleaned well. Vacasa PLEASE step up your cleaning game. I can say this because this is what we used to do. So we knew what to look for as far as cleaning. However we still left a good tip for the staff. The appliances are so outdated: it is sinful. The televisions were very nice. The walls were dirty. The chain bolt on the door… broken. The dining room light switch was broken. Many of the dishes were dirty. The sliding door gave us all muscles by the end of our stay. Oh and did I say the bathroom drains were clogged in the guest and slow in the main. I was appalled!!! We spent good money on this unit$$$$. I will say after 3 calls and an email we finally received a response. Art (who is the nicest man) fixed the drain and the light. However, Vacasa! You should be ashamed! You charge hard working people good money and there were issues after issues. My husband and I were considering renting a home next year but I keep reading reviews and it’s more DRAMA!!!! If consumers pay for exceptional accommodations…we should receive them. This was such a disappointment.

Nice condo with a bit of a BYOS (bring your own stuff) vibe

The condo was nice overall with a good kitchen, fridge, and washer/dryer unit but there were very little "extras" included that you would normally find at an AirBnB style place, like cooking spices, general cleaning supplies, and we even had to buy our own broom. The bedrooms were as expected but be sure to bring some blackout sheets if you plan on sleeping past 6 AM because the Summer sun comes early and there is not much to keep the rooms dark, especially in the master. We had a great experience despite a few annoyances and would go back now that we know how to prepare.

Love staying at Destin Pointe!

Overall Unit 212 was good. We did like being an end unit, however, we did miss having the private patio entry to store our beach belongings (less sand to drag into the unit). Unit needs a little sprucing up cosmetically. Kitchen / dining area was a little tight fitting. Great view of the bay/gulf from balcony. Magnolia House provided easy access to the beach and we all loved the pool area. We will be staying at the Magnolia House again!

We Will Come Back!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Magnolia House. We enjoyed the short walk to the private beach. The condo was just a short ride to many good restaurants and shopping close by. The condo was spacious for the 4 of us and we had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. A previous reviewer stated the balcony door was hard to open, it was. However, not a deal breaker. Destin Pointe guest receive complimentary umbrella and 2 chairs for the beach and you can rent additional chairs or umbrellas as needed. However, they start taking up the chairs and umbrellas around 530 or 6pm, just a little FYI for future guests. My family and I will definitely be back for a week long stay next time.

Not the best unit in Magnolia Point.

Stayed in a different condo last year that was much better. Every bed in 212 was SUPER uncomfortable, felt like a step up from a baby crib, hard and plastic like. Furniture needs updating, the master window is next to the parking lot so you hear the staff when they start working early. Well stocked kitchen was the best thing. Our family had 4 units, this was the worst!

Wonderful location and general manager

Upon arrival, we were giving an option to either stay or be refunded bc the room wasn’t properly prepped before our check in. After speaking to the general manager, we were updated on everything step by step that was and wasn’t done. She was extremely thorough in explaining the situation and very truthful with everything we had brought to her attention. Honestly, this was one of my greatest experiences with management that I’ve ever had under any circumstance. This alone made our trip amazing, not counting the place itself was extremely accommodating and had all the amenities we needed and then some. Beautiful place and location, I’d def stay again and like I said, you won’t find a better manager! Thanks for everything and for saving our anniversary! PS She also waived the cleaning fee and then some bc of the inconvenience. Top notch manager, as I said before. Thanks again.

Unit 212

Magnolia is a good location and the pools are nice. This corner unit did not have the extra porch area that we like and other units have the kitchen is somewhat tight for anyone cooking often. Unit is a little worn and patio door is very hard to open.

Furniture Too Nasty to Use

We’ve stayed at Magnolia House many times over the past 25 years. We were shocked at how filthy the living room chair, ottoman, couch were. We covered them with sheets. We removed the old cushions in the dining chairs, which had grease and dried food stains. We had to wear shoes while in the unit so the bottoms of our feet wouldn’t turn black. No idea who ‘Vacasa’ is, but we’ll never again book another vacation on any property they are managing.
