Beautiful newly remodeled ground floor 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment with brand new modern furnishings and amenities throughout available for monthly rentals. This recently renovated complex (2018) is half a block from the nicest beaches of Carpinteria and directly across from the Salt Marsh Reserve. Super quiet location, 200 yards from the sand, and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. This unit was recently furnished with high-quality contemporary leather and walnut furniture and contemporary art decor. The second bedroom has been set up with two twin beds, making this ground floor unit great for families with children or guests desiring
Carpinteria is one of the last standing little beach towns in California, essentially unchanged in over 50 years. The city is limited in growth based by its physical boarders, making the entire town only about 1 mile square. Dozens of smaller mom and pop restaurants and cute beachy shops. Its a town where you young children can walk or bicycle safely, visiting old favorite shops like Robitelle's Candy shop, Foster's Freeze, and The Spot burger joint. Then there's the beach! Protected by the Anacapa Island chain, Carpinteria is known as the World's Safest Beach. Your dogs will love it too, as the beach from our street (Ash Avenue) Northward, dogs are allowed with leashes. (If allowing dogs off-leash...be aware that the police occasionally ticket off-leash dogs and the ticket is expensive.
We're located about 10 miles from world renown Santa Barbara, and 15 miles from the city of Ventura. Looking for. some shopping? Camarillo Outlet Mall is located 30 miles to the South. Northward you find dozens of wineries, Solvang, and all directions have dozens of great golf courses. Whether you're interested in shopping, dining, kayaking, whale watching, golfing, or just relaxing on the beach, Carpinteria vacation will become a fond memory that you and your family will yearn to repeat year after year. All of Carpinteria is easily walked in about an hour. There is also a cute public trolly and bicycles to rent (mostly summer). Amtrak stops many times each day for fast easy trip to Santa Barbara and points beyond. LAX is the International airport that serves the area, about 2 hours South. The smaller Santa Barbara Airport is about 30 minutes away.

Very nice place, close to the beach

My daughters and I had a great stay here over spring break. The place is very nicely remodeled and has everything you could need for the beach, including beach towels, chairs, boards, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous Location

Clean, comfortable, quiet, modern fixtures, and every morning you get to wake up and walk to the beach, and see the pelicans and the sandpipers and the seals. Or you can walk into town and eat a great breakfast at Esai's diner. It was a great vacation because of out stay in this apartment.

Perfect location perfect accommodations

Highly suggest, steps away from the beach and super close to DT Carpenteria. Everything was clean and it felt new as it has been remodeled with care. All units of the building are owned by the same family so everyone there is VRBO. Beautiful landscaping, with a cute seating area in the middle of the units. We will definitely return!

Great stay, incredibly accommodating, would definitely stay again

My family and I stayed here for a week. We initially booked for just a few nights, but then my daughter tested positive for covid and we needed to extend it. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and let us stay on a night by night basis, until we knew our plans. Beyond that, the apartment has everything you might need, and is less than 5 minutes to the beach. It's also on a really quiet street across from the Salt Marsh, so there's no street noise. Would definitely stay again!

Graduation Weekend

We had a great stay at Carpinteria. What a sweet little town! The apartment was lovely. My recommendation would be to have a fan in the living room area. It does get a little stuffy. Mike was excellent to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would love to come back again.

Wonderful apartment, so close to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropic Shores! The apartment is fresh and updated, the kitchen and living space super functional, nice bathroom and comfy bed in the primary bedroom. Elena, the on-site property manager is very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed the short one block walk to the beach, as well as watching sunset at low tide. As our first visit to Carpinteria, we enjoyed getting to know the town and trying out the many dining options. Short drive up to Santa Barbara for a day trip, and another trip over to Ojai. This was a great home base for adventuring or staying put!

This is a difficult review for me to write. My stay here was great until I checked out. The property is in a great location and was clean and comfortable overall.However, after checking out I got a call from a clearly upset woman telling me that we broke a lamp in the apartment, which was not true. When I tried to calmly discuss it with her she just said sheā€™d be leaving a bad review and hung up on me. Not before telling me that we left something in that apartment though.When I tried to get back in touch with her to get what weā€™d left (my coffee grinder) she had blocked my number which seemed very unprofessional and immature. My wife was able to get a hold of her but she just denied that my coffee grinder was in the apartment, even though it was left sitting next to the sink.The whole episode left a sour taste in my mouth, and my 300 grinder was essentially stolen. I was really excited to find this property as it seemed like a great solution for when I visit town for work.I don't know if Iā€™ve ever written a negative review in my life, but the absurdity of this whole situation made me feel like I needed to as fair warning to others.

strange but convenient

Property is clean, newly remodeled with updated appliances... nice and close to the beach. When we texted the host on how to access netflix, we got an abrubt response saying the hosts husband just died, and with that and their newborn, we needed to respect them. Obviously I extended my condolences and didn't ask any other questions. We still had a great time and made sure not to bother her anymore.

First time in Carp! Great town, great location. Clean and convenient apartment. One caveat: the other renters at time of our stay seemed to think they had rented a single family house. Their door was open all the time, disciplining kids in common area. One kid had constant meltdowns that we had to listen to. We thus couldnā€™t use common area at all. We werenā€™t there much so we managed. It goes without saying this is not owners fault, and the one time I asked about the screaming kids at 6:30am (complex quiet hours are 10-8) she promptly texted them. Beach living!! Miss Carp already !

The ultimate location in a beautiful beach town

The location couldnā€™t have been better and was just a short walk away from a beach where you could take your dogs. We took multiple daily walks to the beach and enjoyed walking to the spot to pick up dinner before watching the sunset on the dunes. The power went out in the city during our stay and the host did a great job of communicating when the power would be back and passed out lanterns to all of us.
