Downtown Charmer! King bed + Queen sleeper sofa. Close to Downtown and Beach

We provide comfortable accommodation for 4 adults. (Or 2 adults and 2 children).

~Looking for a quiet, comfortable retreat? Complete with ocean breezes and pleasant furnishings, we've got you covered.

~Looking for a family-friendly space? Providing books, toys and pack n play, we've got you covered.

KING bedroom with ample space and lighting, queen sleeper bed in sofa. Luxury linens and towels provided. There is wood floors, lots of light and thoughtful touches throughout.

The kitchen is well-stocked for all of your food preparation needs. There is a large microwave, large toaster oven, and a full-size fridge. It features a convenient drawer-style dishwasher. Also for cooking there is a hot plate and plug-in griddle for pancakes and the like. (There is no stove-top or formal oven.) The kitchen has ample counter space and a deep sink, and overhead there is a skylight. (We are fully walk-able to 20+ restaurants, so we find that most of our guests don't do a lot of cooking.)

The bathroom has ornate tile-work, a bowl sink and fun decorative touches. The stacked washer/dryer is available for your use.

Relax on the balcony, and enjoy the view of downtown Carpinteria, complete with many palm trees.

Parking is available for one car behind the apartment, and there is plenty of street parking for any other vehicles.

Since this apartment is attached to our home, this is NOT the right space for guests looking to come and party.

Check in is 4:00 pm (and no later than 12:00 am please), and check out is 11:00 am.

True to it's name--Charmer!

I have LOVED visiting Carpinteria over the years, and it's is a real treat to stay in this cozy and well-cared for beach unit. The attention to detail, privacy, views, and comforts are just some of the highlights of our stay. I will recommend this clean and bright "happy place" to anyone looking to visit Carpinteria.

This was a wonderful getaway location that I would DEFINTELY stay in again! We came for a wedding in Santa Barbara which was just a 15 minute drive away. The town is quaint and felt very safe. Very close (walking distance) to the beach. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were very attentive and responded very quickly to inquiries. We also appreciated that they were military friendly. I wish we had more time to explore the town and local shops. Looking forward to staying again.

Mothers Day in Carpinteria

The place was just as advertised. Great view of palm trees from balcony. Very friendly when we needed to clarify the location of the key and responded immediately. The kitchen and bathroom was just the right size for two of us.

Clean and comfortable

I stayed here while traveling for business. The property was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Grocery and restaurants were very close by. I would stay here again if in the area.

Perfect setup for us to relax, bright layout and very well provisioned. Close to everything Carpinteria had to offer and a short walk to the beach. Toby & Matt were wonderful hosts.

Cozy place!

My sisters and I loved this cute apartment! There are shops, restaurants and a gorgeous beach in walking distance. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed.

Great place! Close to everything...beach, shopping and eating establishments! Had a great time❤

Beautiful, clean and well situated. Very comfortable with everything you need for a great vacation. Although, since it is attached to a main house, kids next door were a bit noisy and you can hear them running around. Otherwise it was really nice. Thank you Toby!!

A wonderful stay

My family and I had to extend our California vacation by a week on extremely short notice and this location just happened to be available for exactly the dates we needed. We were already happy to just find a place; we were overjoyed to find that that place chosen was a wonderful location and perfect for our family. From the surprisingly comfortable pull-out to the toys for the younger set, everything we could have wanted was covered. We hope to visit again!

Welcome to the Beach

The stay was great! Location was perfect for me. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only negative was the sleeper sofa - it may just be the nature of these as it wasn't as comfortable as described. Maybe it's time for a new layer of foam? All in all, nvery happy with our hosts and the apartment.

Vacationing in your own town.

The property was stocked with laundry and kitchen fully equipped. They were very nice and helped with any questions during our stay. I loved sitting on the couch and hearing the waves from the ocean. Sounds like your right on the sand. Great place ...A charmer You will love it.

Perfect getaway!

The apartment is in the perfect location to explore downtown, walk to the beach, and has everything you need to unwind. Toby was wonderful communicating with us - highly recommend this spot for your visit to Carp. Just beautiful.

Great for a quick trip

We have two kids ages 2.5 and 14 mos. While the sleeping situation was a little tricky with only one bedroom we figured it out. Not a bad distance from the beach, although we did have a car. It wouldn't have been bad to walk if we had decided to do that. The kitchen does not have a range, only a hot plate, so if you need to cool anything just be aware. However, that wasn't a big problem for us. It has been a great stay! Happy to have found this place.

Best weekend ever!

I enjoyed my time in Carpinteria with my two sons for a short, but sweet, family mini vacation. The apartment was amazing; clean, bright, airy and perfectly located for us to enjoy all the the lovely town of Carpinteria has to offer. We really enjoyed having the barbecue grill available to is. We also appreciated the ability to use the washer/dryer as out towels got super wet and dirty the first day there. Our hosts were not around but we had no need for them to be because everything was well-provided at the apartment and they gave us lots of instructions that were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable; however, the sofa bed was not. I have never met a sofa bed that was comfortable, so that is no reflection on our hosts. The only thing remotely negative for me was that I did not realize that the apartment did not have a stove. I am sure I missed that in the description, but it caught me off guard when I arrived. They did provide for our cooking with a hot plate and an electric griddle which were fine for what I brought to cook. I am very grateful to have had the weekend there with both of my sons and appreciated being able to stay in such a nice, comfortable home! I will highly recommend this location to my friends and look forward to being able to come and stay again someday.

The 'Downtown Charmer' is a perfect respite...

We are so glad that we chose this Downtown Charmer to land while our kitchen remodel was going on. We are a local family and when we needed to get out of our normal home for a few days this apartment provided everything. It's convenient location with the grocery store and farmers market a half block away made shopping easy and fun, it felt like being in Europe to take a charming stroll to shop for the night's meal. We used the BBQ every night and sitting on the little front porch with a cold beverage watching the sunset while dinner cooked was a joy. The accommodations were pristine and tastefully done, the space is bright and airy. We really appreciated the laundry machines provided! Thank you Toby for creating such a perfect respite.

Life at the Beach

I love Carpinteria and this place was lovely! It is located right off of the main street, Lindon, and we easily walked to the restaurants and breweries every evening. We drove to parking near the beach easily. (You could walk we just didn't want to carry our stuff.) The place was spotless and the perfect size for a vacation. I will definitely stay here again!

Great place & owners

My family and I travel to Carpinteria each summer and really enjoyed our stay at this clean, natural light filled rental property. The decor and furnishings were very welcoming and we had everything that we needed for our week and half long stay. We especially enjoyed the lovely views and ocean breezes from the balcony, and almost everything is in walking or biking distance. The owners are extremely nice and responsive to requests; their communication is prompt and informative. Thank you for your hospitality Matt & Toby and we hope to see you on future visits to your beautiful beach town!

Very nice well kept; love Carp!

This apartment is attached to the owner's home. As such we felt the need to try to be quiet and had less "sound" privacy. But the apartment itself is very nice. Everything seems brand new and very clean. Note there is no cooktop/oven, although there is a large toaster oven and microwave.(Kids wanted to make pancakes - had to "settle" for toaster waffles!) We were concerned that being on 8th street would feel far from beach but it is still an easy walk. We love this town!

Affordable Carp

This was a very clean, newly renovated, quality spot for a single or couple looking for an affordable spot in walking distance to the beach in Carp. Really nice 3+ block walk down Linden to the beach. Downtown Carp is a gem; quiet, clean and really friendly. Hey only a block or so to the train... ride up to Carp for the weekend. Great Escape. We'll be back!!! Thanks for the great place to stay.
