Adorable 3+ bedroom overlooking Hook Pond with heated pool. South of the highway and a 5 min walk to the beach! Living room with fireplace, dining with sitting area, master bedroom suite with child's bedroom nearby, kitchen, additional bedroom and bathroom plus laundry are on the first floor. Upstairs is a bedroom, loft area, and a play room with bathroom. Views are amazing out of every window. Rambling gardens filled with flowers and swans gliding by in the pond complete the picture. This home is in an amazing location close to the beach and East Hampton Village. ***2 week minimum per East Hampton Village regulations***

Can't beat the location!

Locations is perfect. I have stayed all throughout East Hampton over the last 12+ years and the Egypt Lane location is second to none. The pool was perfect, the house has the feel of a real time cottage. Owners are very responsive, very nice family.

Amazing location

This is the perfect beach house in the best spot in east hampton. Location doesn’t get any better than Egypt lane. Walk to the beach or golf club. Pool in the back is amazing!

Beautiful cottage & location, could use some extra care and refresh

Overall, we had a great stay at this house. It was a pleasure meeting the owner and her son, Canaan, who was very nice to help set us up. Dora was also very sweet. The heated pool was fantastic and the flowers and landscape were beautiful. WiFi is solid. Location was wonderful. Our family enjoyed walks to the beach where we were lucky to see whales and dolphins very close. Amazing to see! The house however would really benefit from a deep professional cleaning. The dust in some of the rooms was quite heavy and took a bit to get used to. The window AC units were very dusty and very noisy, and could use a refresh. The ceiling fans also had a great deal of dust on top, so as a result, we didn’t use the AC or fans at night. We know it would be a wonderful stay following a more thorough cleaning. Aside from cleaning, I think many guests would absolutely appreciate a basic upgrade of some of kitchen appliances and flooring in need of replacement to make it feel more comfortable. That said, we understand it’s an older family home, and we appreciated our time there. The beds and sheets were comfortable. The neighborhood and surroundings were wonderful. Overall we shared some valuable family time and summer memories at this house that we really appreciated, thank you!

Egypt Lane Solitude

Amazing stay at Egypt lane. Canaan was amazing and extremely communicative and easy to work with. The house is a gem and amazing for entertaining with the pool table and heated pool. The garden is a true gem as well. Canaan truly went above and beyond and was fantastic to work with. We will be back!

Information I Wish I Knew Before Renting This House

Pros: 1. Location - steps from Egypt Beach and short bike ride to town. Location is very good. 2. Owners - very nice, excellent communication, flexible with first two days of stay with an approaching hurricane. Dora and Canaan were very responsive and helpful. Appreciated using their bike and boogey board. 3. Bathroom and Laundry - bathrooms were clean and water pressure was very good; laundry was good too. 4. The Pool - The pool was new and very nice. Cons: 1. Not private - It wasn't clear to me from the listing that this house shares a property and driveway with the owner's house which is about 75 feet away from this house on the same property. Sitting by the pool, you couldn't avoid seeing the owner's house or hearing when they were coming or going. It didn't feel as private as I had expected. 2. The house is very old, which makes it dark and musty, with an old house smell. Didn't even realize no pictures of the kitchen in the listing, but quickly figured out why once we walked into the house. 3. No central air condition - house was very hot and humid when we arrived, in fairness there was a hurricane coming but stayed hot throughout the week. It took a long time for the window ac units to make a difference. The window units were loud and made it hard to sleep comfortably. 4. Condition - most of the coach cushions, inside and outside, was torn and in bad shape. I ended up buying new towels and ocean chairs vs using what was there. The outdoor furniture especially is badly in need of being replaced.

Location, Location, Location

Having been going to the Hamptons since I was young, I was thrilled and amazed to find something on Egypt Lane. You don't get better then this in the Hamptons. The house was very cute, and the upstairs especially is a teenager's dream with three beds and a pool table. The grounds are so pretty and open and the pool was fantastic, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Canaan was incredibly responsive, and the owners were very friendly. The garage had bicycles and you can also walk to the beach and the duck pond. I would definitely come back. My only comment is to update the kitchen especially. There was only one burner working on the stove, which made it challenging to cook especially for hungry teenagers. You are also on the property of the owners, which is great, cause there are folks there to help if needed, but if you want total privacy, it is good to know, as at certain times, folks needed to access the house. Thank you, great stay!

Amazing location wonderful property

Great Location

The location is unbeatable! Steps away from the beach and only a short drive away from amazing restaurants! The place was very clean when we get there, and homeowners and Dora were very helpful when we need anything. We definitely want to visit again next year!

Great location

We enjoyed this bucolic, private estate like property. Close to Egypt Beach and Maidstone Club, the house is also a lovely bike ride to town. The pool can be seen from the bay window which is very attractive at night while having dinner. The house is authentic East Hampton and vintage style. The owners were wonderful and easy to communicate with when we had questions. I recommend the property.

Quintessential Hampton's Experience

This house was everything that my family hoped it would be and more. This is the perfect East Hampton location with easy access to the beach and town. The house is very charming and the property and pool are lovely. My family had a wonderful vacation.

Great Vaca

The owners son Caanan was available and very intent on making our stay as comfortable as possible and could not be more accommodating. He was also a very nice young man. Dora the housekeeper was also a joy. We absolutely enjoyed our stay immensely. My only suggestions would be that given the price point, lounge chairs, outdoor dinning and umbrella, refrigerator, plates and cutlery and bath and beach towels be upgraded. We hope to go back next year!

Truly special place for vacation!

Amazing vacation at this beautiful spot. Truly short walk to beach, duck pond and East Hampton village. Lovely pool and yard with pond at back of property. Charming home with lots of history and books galore. They provided everything for the beach: beach bikes, chairs, umbrella, towels and easy outdoor shower. Would love to come back!

Dream stay in the Hamptons

I can't say enough how incredible our stay was. Canaan was responsive and helpful in every aspect.. We are a family of 4 and there was more than enough room for all of us with more books, games and activities than we knew what to do with. The property was paradise - an amazing pool, plenty of grass to play on, lots of interesting birds, ducks and rabbits to see and is within walking distance of both the Beach and East Hampton Village. One of our best family vacations and an amazing break from the busy city.
