Great stay

This is our second stay at Royal Garden Resort. Love the atmosphere, location and the Salty Pickle. Highly recommend

Nice unit, sufficiently clean and comfy for my husband and I and our three granddaughters (ages 7 to 9). The unit itself was as described. Slightly problematic that there was absolutely zero dish detergent, hand soap, trash bags, etc. usually there’s at least a “starter” amount. After arriving late with three kids after traveling all day, I had to go to the store and had hoped to wait until morning. To the other reviewers who complained about the living room staying hot: if you keep the door and shades closed during the hot part of the day, that’s not an issue. Beware of the rocking chairs on the balcony. Not the safest with kids in a small area. We had one leave with a broken toe that got rocked over. The RG facility needs attention. It’s old and needs some upgrading. Kids enjoyed the pool. Access to the beach and parking is a breeze. Parking is very tight. Suggest not driving a large vehicle if possible. We had a great time. Newly renovated bright and clean.

We Had a perfect stay in the newly renovated condo at Royal Garden resort. The condo is on the fifth floor which is a perfect height,not too high and not too low. Easy access to beach and pool. The renovation was very well done, very clean and crisp. Management was very easy to work with and parking was always accessible.

Perfect Getaway

I stayed her with my adult daughter and her best friend for a girls getaway. The unit is beautifully decorated with many organizational features built-in. We have stayed here two times in the past year and simply love this unit. Very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with all the tools you need for a week away from home. We absolutely love this unit and are planning to visit here every year. Perfect week.

Everything was great except the floors were very dirty. My kids feet were completely black after 5 mins of walking around barefoot so it hadn’t been moped in AWHILE.

Royal Garden Resort vacation June 2021

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The property was very nice but the living room remained very hot while we were there! The hall way and the bedrooms cooled off but not the living area! Also the air would not go below 71

Would Stay Again

I would definitely stay here again! The condo was beautiful and considerably spacious for my family of 5! I also am very particular about cleanliness and felt this condo was very well taken care of. They had brooms and a sweeper available that I used daily to keep up on keeping the sand out. I might suggest throw rugs or an area rug to help with the sand that gets tracked in. The building itself was fine as well. I read a lot of reviews about the elevators taking too long and not working but never once had an issue waiting for long periods of time and all three operated just fine. Definitely 5 stars for us and can’t wait to return again!

2nd trip to Royal Gardens resort in less than 2 years since July 2020....

The property is old but fairly well kept. Sea Breeze rentals was good, but could use help with leaving information readily available regarding " how to work" various major appliances ,etc and more understanding with older people , technically challenged by digital appliances they've not used.. shower door not fixed since the previous reviews I'd read. The property manager was very rude when we had an issue with how to work the oven. Reply " each rental is different and owned by Different homeowners,". Shouldn't be my problem when I rented through them. They can't shrug it off with excuses. I'm sure they're paid a fee to take care of their guests and their property problems.

Thank You for your review. We hate to hear that you were not 100% satisfied during your stay. Although, the manuals were not available for the appliances, we did come in after hours to write down step-by-step how to work the standard oven for you. The stopper on the shower door did come off and has since been repaired. We are sorry that you feel you were not taken care of properly during your stay, that is never our intention. Our goal is to make all of our guest feel at home.

Not close to immaculate

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and view. Pretty decor. Check-in was easy. Not very clean and poorly appointed. Utensils were dirty and there was no soap to clean them. Dirty sponge was left in sink. Trash and sand left on the balcony from previous rental. Trash left in bathroom. Dishwasher was still full. No Keurig and coffee maker didn't work well and kept throwing grounds in the coffee. Unit usually stayed at 73-74 degrees at best.

This was our first time staying at this resort, but we come to Surfside/ Murrells inlet each year; typically staying at Surf Master. Our stay was far from enjoyable due to a few preventable issues. We stayed over 4th of July weekend, and they gave out more parking passes than they could accommodate. The “risk management” people in the parking garage told people “park wherever you can find. It doesn’t matter if you block people in.” This resulted in numerous people being blocked in, and people parking in front of ramps in the parking garage which blocked in entire levels of vehicles. With it being 4th of July, any restaurants within reasonable walking distance were closed. We have 2 young children requiring car seats, so we could not get an uber like we were recommended. However, even if we could, we should not have to pay extra to get an uber due to this place giving out too many parking passes. We were also told we could get a golf cart and receive another parking pass (why continue handing out parking passes when you’re over capacity?). After we left, we called to complain, and we were told “you should have known parking would be bad this weekend.” There is a difference in crowded parking and intentionally handing out too many passes. Our car was stuck for 2 days with no way of getting out. These 2 days happened to be bad weather, so we couldn’t even go out and enjoy the beach or pool. The only good thing I can say of this place is it was clean and in a good location.

Beautiful condo with awesome amenities; indoor pool, outdoor pool and hot tub along with The Salty Pickle, a pool side bar offering many snacks and dippin dots that the kids enjoyed! Ocean view was amazing! Overall an awesome stay!

Clean Nice Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice updated condo. This condo doesn’t have the old feel or smell that many others in this complex have. Only things that could be improved on are the towels are more like rags. Thin, small and cheap. Some of the pillows should go in the garbage. Not a deterrent to stay again but we know we need to bring towels and pillows now. No beach towels available.

It is an older resort but nothing along the Grand Strand can beat the views, and every single room has an oceanfront view! The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools,great for rainy days. The proximity to Marshwalk, fantastic seafood in Murrells Inlet, Huntington Beach State Park, putt-putt golf, and Brookgreen Gardens, all places we love to go. Each condo in Royal Garden Resort is privately owned so some are amazing and others are so-so. It was so wonderfully quiet when we went there in the middle of June! We'll be back!

Perfect Beachfront Getaway for Thanksgiving

This was our first time to the greater Myrtle Beach area but we were apprehensive about staying directly in Myrtle Beach. We found this property and it was just what we needed. They were under construction outside so the view below wasn't glamourous but you dont even notice when you are staring out into the ocean. The indoor swimming pool was heated and perfect for my kids who needed to get their energy out. Two things I caution- 1) Bring your own towel (bath and beach) as they only have very tiny white towels that even my 4 year old commented on as being small. 2) Bring your own paper towel and dish washing soap as there were no paper towels and the dishwashing detergent didn't really get the dishes clean. Otherwise it was a wonderful escape and we would definitely consider coming back here.

Great Place with Great Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 514 is a beautiful condo. You cannot beat the ocean view. We did have a problem with the AC not cooling the unit but the staff was quick to respond and fixed the issue. We also found the tub in the Main Bathroom to be very slippery when taking a shower. Other than these two issues we had a great time and enjoyed the beach every day.
