Set back in the lush foliage of the Oregon Coast, this private oasis is just the place for your next beach vacation away from it all. Guests will feel right at home, as the inviting decor and open layout allow everyone to spread out and find their own place to relax. The back deck is the place to be during warmer times of the year, as there is no better space to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or cold drink as you sit beside the firepit. As the sun dips below the trees, play pool inside as the smell of a home-cooked meal wafts in from the kitchen! Play a favorite show on the large TV and cozy up on the sectional until everyone dozes off to recharge for the next day's adventures.

Barview is a pleasant coastal town perfect for a peaceful vacation to the coast. Make your way to the plethora of state parks along the coastline and hike along the bluffs for breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. On your way home, stop in Charleston for a plate of fresh seafood at one of the local restaurants. Spend mornings beachcombing at Bastendorff Beach Park and feel the cool sand on your toes.

All of our children were stung by yellow jackets. There is a hive around the jacuzzi and in the yard and deck. This should be tended too, thankfully none of our children had an anaphylactic reaction. We were unable to locate the outside garbage cans and Vacasa did not know where we were supposed to leave trash either.

The stay was very comfortable and we had plenty of blankets and pillows. The fire pit was amazing. Wish the hottub worked and there was a wasp nest in the side of it. But that didnt deter us!! Was amazing!

There was waspsMy husband and 2 of the 7 grandkids we brought on vacation were stung.We had to leave shortly after gerring there and go home as we could not find anywhere else to stay

The home was comfortable and was sufficient for our stay. The couch and floor were not clean. The house is close to road that would occasionally have loud trucks go by. The kitchen was a little funky, lacking in counter space, and good cookware. We ended up just eating out.Other than the occasional truck on the nearby road, the house was peaceful and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The deck with fire pit were very enjoyable. Great jumping off sport for many coastal parks.

Great place to stay

Well set up home clean and ready for a great vacation. Only downside was neighbors shooting guns at midnight (I think they were chasing off a bear) over all a very fun and enchanting home to stay in. I will definitely come back

Great place to stay if you have all of the information upfront!

This place was great for the most part. Super clean. Had everything that you need for a nice stay. A bit more rustic in person, than what the pictures online show. It would be nice if the hot tub was working. It is not really near beach access as the description indicates. The firepit area was awesome, but I think it would benefit the homeowners and guest if it were upgraded to a gas/propane one, for ease of use, safety, and the smell of smoke in the house was a bit much after burning a fire. The pool table is a great addition but hard to use, as there is not much room to actually shoot the pool sticks without hitting the walls or a window. We would stay here again though. The property was very well kept, clean, and quiet, and we really enjoyed the fact that there is no one right next to you.

The house is clean, plenty of privacy, beautiful location, convenient distance from town and the ocean. The pool table is very small, still fun, the fire pit is great. Only downside was the 1 bathroom.

The house is bigger than it looks when you first pull up. It is very comfortable and has everything you could think of needing! It is a bit secluded, which for us is great as we are looking for peace & quiet. It is an old house and has issues that most old houses do - but we loved it. The only issue we had was the cleanliness could have been a bit more detailed as there were a few things that were missed, but nothing that we couldnā€™t get past.

Great family home.

Sea Spray Chalet is set in a quiet secluded spot which was great for us! The house is bigger than it looks from the outside and has everything you can think of for a fun family getaway. Huge, comfy couch; huge tv with DVD player; tons of board games, a pool table & dart board for lots of fun; great set up rooms; a kitchen that has everything you could possibly need; and my grandkids absolutely loved the heated bathroom floor! Huge deck with a fire pit is also great! We didnā€™t get to use it because it rained the whole time - but would be so great for sā€™mores or just to sit around & enjoy. My only complaints were that the cleaning needs to be a bit more detailed and the towels and tablecloth are well beyond needing replaced. Regardless, we loved the house and had a great weekend.

Family coming together

We had a family member pass and there was several that came together for the funeral and stayed at your lovely home. Wish we Spaulding have been able to use the fire pit, but the rain wouldnā€™t let us. The yard has plenty of room for my kiddos to play and the swing was a fun thing to find. We were very pleased with your home and it was very close to the home my mom grew up in. Thank you! P.S. The kitchen chairs at the table have loose legs. We tightened them the best we could with our fingers, but they need an Allen wrench.

Not what worth it

No wifi like advertised. The TV didn't work the majority of the time. The shower backed up into the tub. Only nice thing was how close we were to the beach. The couch smelled like cat pee and the carpets were stained. For a house that you can't bring pets. Yeah would never recommend this place to anyone

Comfy house in a GREAT location!

This house was just the right size for our family of 4, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and hang out. Added bonus was all the space on that massive couch! We didnā€™t use the TV, just sat on the couch to read and chat. I know there was a previous review that didnā€™t enjoy all the greenery surrounding the house, but we absolutely LOVED IT! It made sitting outside very nice, being surrounded by nature like that. While we didnā€™t hear any dogs barking (per the ownerā€™s description), we did hear a few of the roosters who live near by. Frequently. Of course, one morning, we also heard a nearby argument between a wild turkey and some crows, so thereā€™s quite a bit of neighborhood ā€œwildlifeā€ around! The houseā€™s location made it easy to get to all the activities we planned on (especially the marina and state parks), and was close enough to the city without being too close. We look forward to coming back to visit again sometime!
