We were there right before hurricane Lowell and the host let us know the situation. We were able to contact the airline and make changes. The room was on hotel property which was extremely nice. We were able to use all amenities. Positive Coffee was a great coffee shop and their breakfast burritos were great. Happy Talk restaurant on the property had great food and an amazing view.

The property is amazing and beautiful, we were so sad that both the restaurant's were hit by the hurricane and were closed for repair and hope for their sake they can open soon, The little coffee shop was open with limited hours but was very good with many food selections, also it was easy to get down to the 'hotel 1' on the beach for a great meal close by. The room we rented was very nice and stocked well it had a full kitchen and full size refrigerator, and most everything you would need to cook meals, with the exception of coffee filters and coffee- but a real coffee maker which is great, they did have a nice welcome gift with a small coffee & snacks but no coffee filters, so make sure you have that on hand if you are like us and from California and wake up very early on a before anything is open. I must have missed this in the description, but the bed was a trundle bed and it was a double- not what I was expecting and not too comfortable, one of us ended up sleeping on the couch. The space is roomy enough for a king bed- not sure why they put in a trundle instead but that would be my personal suggestion. The patio was very nice with a view of the mountains and a very nice chaise lounge and dining table with chairs - The pool and jacuzzi are wonderful as well as everyone we came in contact with, I do wish the extra hotel fees would be specified so you knew exactly what you will be paying . Overall we were very happy and could recommend this property.

Great location with amazing views

Really a wonderful time, would recommend if you want a nice mountain/quiet feel. Great location with access to the one hotel and a more private beach

Tropical and Serene

The condo is in a very quiet area of the resort, offering a very secluded feel. It's very near a parking area, the restaurants, and pools without being noisy. Resort staff are kind and helpful, and very quick to help when asked. Being so close to Hanalei was amazing and I would quickly book a stay here again.

Kauai

The property is beautiful, it was stocked with everything you could need. Property had a great restaurant with a view of the ocean. Easy access to the pool/spa. Beach is walking distance down a hill, but property provided transportation to and from until sunset if needed.

Great place beautiful location

The property management was great at communication. We got in late and the bed was broken so the next day we let them know and they immediately found a solution to fix it. It was a Murphy bed but was pretty comfortable for a Murphy bed. Place was well stocked. Great views from the patio. Check in and amenities great. We still haven’t gotten a refund of our deposit yet though.

Jungle Views at Hanalei Bay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience at this studio condo at Hanalei Bay Resort. Nice place overall

Place as described, clean, balcony with rain forest type view was nice to sit and drink coffee at. The unit did have a musty smell every time we walked in, but opening the sliding doors helped it go away. Great location and size for 2 people, having a full kitchen was nice. Only negative was that the hot tub was broken our entire stay. I understand things happen, but that was a big bummer as we enjoy that on vacation.

It is common in a tropical environment to sometimes have a musty smell, especially during the rainy season. Opening doors or turning on the AC allows fresh air into the space. Unfortunately, we could not do anything to remedy the hot tub as it is maintained by the resort. Aloha

Beautiful views and the resort is great.

I loved the location of this unit and I loved the property. I didn’t love the Murphy bed and didn’t realize it was a Murphy bed until arrival (that was more than likely an oversight on my end but haven’t checked the original listing) the bed didn’t sit level on the floor so had to make a make shift platform for one of the legs. There was a bit of a musty smell but as soon as we opened the doors and kept them open and got a fan going it was fine.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed in unit 1558 for 3 days and had a wonderful experience. Unit is close to parking, the main pool and fitness center. We found the condo to be clean and well furnished. The murphy bed was very comfortable and since it was just the 2 of us, we left it open the entire time and had plenty of space. It was nice to have beach items to use during our stay as well as a washer and dryer. Loved our stay and am considering booking in the future.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the most budget-friendly option at Hanalei Bay Resort. The best part about this cozy place is the view from the back patio looking over the forest and mountains. Close to the restaurant and pool, full kitchen, and washer and dryer are nice additions. We wished the restaurant/bar would stay open later, and the fact that the pool/hot tub closes at 9:00 pm every night is a huge disappointment. Definitely not a resort for night owls!

Beautiful place

We stayed in this condo for 5 days at the beginning of our trip and it ended up being my favorite place that we stayed on the whole island. The condo is beautifully done and has a phenomenal view. It was very quiet, yet had close access to the parking lot, pool and restaurant. The condo was well equipped with most things that we needed, which was very helpful. There are a few reasons that I did not give this condo five stars. Those are 1) we were not provided any salt and pepper to cook with (but other spices were provided), so we ended up purchasing our own 2) we were only provided one roll of toilet paper for our five day stay 3) condo is pretty much the furthest from the beach and the beach path is long and semi steep (there was a shuttle you could call, but when we did, it never came). Overall this condo was fantastic. I would love to come back for a visit!

Aloha Rachel,Thank you for taking the time to post a review from our request.  The unit 1558 is a great and nicely remodeled unit and we are happy you did comment on it.  The views are exceptional of the surrounding mountains!  Typically the condo is supplied with 2 extra toilet paper rolls.  We were surprised to hear you only had one roll of TP and wish you would have called so we could have brought you more.  We are here to help.  You mentioned the beach access which is a rare amenity in Princeville and this resort is lucky to have this great option.  We do hope you can come again in the near future.
