Hanalei Bay Resort Front Desk Fees: $50 guest check in fee, plus a reservation fee of $6.75, plus $25/day and $20/day/car + GET & TAT Tax. Please note this is a separate transaction with the guest and the front desk, subject to change and beyond our control.

The county of Kauai does not permit this studio to have a kitchen. There is only a coffee maker, blender and electric tea kettle.

Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below.

This lovely studio unit will make a great location for your next vacation! Private, quite, mountain and garden views. Conveniently located close to the pool, tennis courts and hot tub, as well as the parking area.

I loved this little unit. Space was ideally used! Beautiful cozy place. The only thing was our phone and internet did not work most of the time.

Wonderful Hanalei Bay Resort grounds and property. We stayed at HBR on our honeymoon and now came back with family. Unit was clean and adequate. It's small and with pull out sofa open felt a bit cramped. Unit is close to pool and lobby. Decently appointed, although not updated or high-end in any respect. Slightly worn furniture and moderate wear and tear. Mini-split AC could have been colder. Didn't affect the good time we had. We enjoyed our trip, and I'd recommend staying at this unit for a nice, chill vacation. Kauai never disapoints!

My boyfriend and I loved staying here for 2 weeks. The condo was the perfect size for a couple. It was clean, attractive, and comfortable, and the surrounding resort is gorgeous and well maintained. We accidentally locked ourselves out a few times, and the front desk and maintenance were prompt and attentive with getting us back in. We loved sitting and eating on the private lanai with a gorgeous view of the tropical plants and wildlife. The resort includes a beautiful beach path to Puu Poa beach, and is also a short walk to Hideaways. Overall, a great experience and we would stay here again! One little thing- we would have liked a microwave in the room, but there is one a short walk away in the resort's community kitchen.

Great unit on a nice resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was very modern, clean, and comfortable. Very well constructed / good materials used. The resort was even nicer than expected. We really enjoyed ourselves on this trip. Hot water never ran out, the hot tub in the resort was kept at a really nice warm temp, and there were many grills to cook on.

peaceful condo and beautiful resort

It was perfect for my adult daughter and I (she’s very nice to share a bed with Mom). Great base camp- our rental car gave us the flexibility to stay in beautiful Princeville and explore the rest of the island. Pool here is amazing and easy beach access

Convenient location

Near restaurant, sufficient space for two. Facilities are nice. The connected beach is pleasant but requires a steep walk to get there. They also have golf cart shuttle you may request to get up and down from beach.

Beautiful resort stay

Really nice room on a beautiful property overlooking the Bay. Loved the high ceilings which made the space feel large. Good size for a couple.

Nice Stay

We really enjoyed our stay! Hanalei Bay is beautiful and the unit was well stocked. We enjoyed the tennis rackets, cooler, boogie boards and other amenities that we were provided. Enjoy your visit!

HBR 1557

The room was as listed and the stay was wonderful. We loved the resort and the amenities available as well as the location and proximity to different beaches, towns, and activities. The only downside to the stay was a number of bugs throughout the stay. While this is somewhat expected given the climate and it was not excessive, we were consistently finding 1-2 cockroaches a day. Other than that, this was a 5-star stay.

Roaches :(

The good: check in was easy, the bellhop service was wonderful. Gorgeous view from the patio, great amenities, great location with beach access. Convenient location near shops and restaurants. The bad: On our first night we found two cockroaches in our bathroom. We contacted the property owner who told us they would contact their pest removal service. I am not sure if they did so during our stay. The next morning we found two more roaches. The worst part is that the owner did not even apologize. It’s a shame because the rest of the stay was great, but I would not stay in this home again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the room was clean and for the most part you interact with the front desk, actually getting a hold of the host for this particular AirBnB is impossible. We reached out on several occasions and never got a response. In fact, after sending a message it would tell you the host’s typical response time is 11 hrs. Who doesn’t respond to their guests until half a day has gone by?Some of what happened was definitely our fault, when booking we accidentally shorted ourself a day and didn’t realize it until we got an auto text reminding us to checkout a day early. This is when we tried to contact Kristen but never heard back. If you are expecting to have your host be available to communicate should you have issues, I would not suggest this rental.

Great Location - Unresponsive Host

Hanalei Bay Resort is wonderful and the staff are a delight. This condo is very small and does not have a kitchen, just a sink and a mini fridge. We spent days reserving the adjoining unit. Prior to checking in, the host was very responsive, but once the check in date arrived, the host took days to respond to messages. We eventually did add the adjoining room and appreciated the full kitchen and extra bathroom, although that bathroom does not have a bathtub, despite one being shown in the floor plan.

Good value for location, a few small things that weren’t ideal

Overall if you’re looking for one of the best locations in Kauai on a budget, I would highly recommend. Positives: - This condo was significantly more affordable than other condos available for rent on Hanalei Bay Resort, it was worth it just to stay at the resort for a decent price-It was clean with a VERY comfortable bed & AC. -Two of the best beaches (Hanalei Bay & Hideaway) are within brisk walking distance- Loved waking up to the sound of the jungle from a large balcony each morning -The resort shares a beach with the luxurious 1 Hotel (brand new in the last year)- has a great beach/pool bar bar open to the public; also Welina Terrace bar & restaurant - great spot for sunset drinks/ dinner Negatives:-The closet in the bathroom smells like cat litter (???), made the whole bathroom stink. I am pregnant & sensitive to smells, had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times soas not to let the smell get into the room.- The kitchen was missing a few basic amenities like a sharp cutting knife. Had to use a butter knife all week to cut fruit or open my travel protein packs 🤪 they also provide just one small bag of coffee to get you through the first day but no cream / sugar. Just seemed to me a little cheap to not offer cream/sugar packets - the location of this condo is at the back / side of the resort near employee parking. We actually liked it bc you could park really close (get in/out quickly) but you do have to walk by the dumpsters etc to get to it - As per very strict instructions with the AC and the refrigerator, we tried not to overuse anything. We only turned on AC at night at 72 degrees, but despite that, after 4 nights the AC started rattling and making super loud noises.... The refrigerator would only cool things to a “Luke cool” - I had yogurt that spoiled bc it wasn’t staying cold

We love Kauai and are so glad to be back on island. Especially up here in Princeville with Hanalei so close by. The perfect stay.
