Fantastic Family Holiday Home with Breathtaking Views over Hot Water Beach

Welcome to ‘Taumata’, a three bedroom holiday home with beautiful views over Hot Water Beach on the East Coast of New Zealand’s stunning Coromandel Peninsula. You are only moments from the beach, which is only 50 metres walk away.
Hot Water Beach has been named as one of the top ten beaches in the world, and makes a perfect holiday spot. It is located on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, between Tairua and Hahei Beach, around 2 hours drive from Auckland or Hamilton.
Hot Water Beach is unique as hot springs flow to the surface of the beach at low tide, meaning you can relax in your own thermal hot pool which you literally dig out of the sand. We provide a free set of shovels and spades to dig your pool.
Hot Water Beach is great for fishing, surfing, beach and bush walks, kayaking, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Plus the lagoons at either end of the beach are ideal for kids to swim and fish in.
Nearby are Hahei Beach and the picture-perfect Cathedral Cove. These beaches are only a 10-15 minute drive away, with Cooks Beach, Flaxmill Bay and Ferry Landing only 15-20 minutes away (where you can enjoy a short ferry ride across to Whitianga and Mercury Bay).
Our holiday home is on two levels. The main living area includes an open plan kitchen, dining and living room with exceptional views across the beach, out to sea, and also across the valley. There's great indoor-outdoor flow with sliding doors opening out onto our sunny North-facing timber deck - a great place to relax and simply enjoy the views. We have a large deck on the Eastern side with a large picnic table and gas fired BBQ - this is a great spot to enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner alfresco while still enjoying the sea and beach views.
The living area includes two sofas, a television, DVD player, stereo system, and a selection of books and board games to enjoy.
Off the main living area, the master bedroom enjoys stunning sea views, and has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has valley views (also with a queen size bed). At the rear of the home is the bathroom (with shower, WC and vanity), and a laundry (washing machine, dryer and tub).
We have a mezzanine level upstairs - also with extensive beach and sea views - and its super popular with children! The mezzanine has a double bed, two single beds, and a children's entertainment area with their own table, chairs, beanbags, games and toys.
Taumata is one of very few homes at Hot Water Beach, and is available to rent to careful and responsible families, mature couples and small groups.

A two night minimum stay applies (sorry, no exceptions).
Arrival after 3pm, departure by 10.30am.
We have a strict 'no parties or gatherings' policy.
5 day minimum bookings preferred during peak holiday periods, but contact us with your request and we'll see if we can fit you in.
Rates are for up to 4 people. A surcharge of $30 per person per night applies for further guests.
Extras: Cleaning (NZ$80.00 per stay)
Any damages or excessive cleaning costs will be on-charged to guests.
