We would like to clarify that this is advertised as a private one-bedroom basement suite, and all photos in the listing accurately depict the exact space being rented. Guests are also provided with detailed check-in instructions showing how to access the private basement entrance. We respectfully disagree that the listing is misleading. The property is a 3,000-square-foot family home, and the accommodation offered is clearly identified as a one-bedroom basement suite within that home. The listing photos, description, and layout accurately represent the space provided. A one-bedroom basement suite would not reasonably be expected to be equivalent to the size or layout of the entire house, and we have hosted many guests who have had no difficulty understanding this from the listing. Regarding noise, while we do not specifically advertise household sounds, it is generally understood that a basement suite is located beneath the main living area of an occupied home. As with most basement accommodations, some level of sound transfer may occasionally occur. We make every effort to be respectful of our guests and maintain a comfortable environment.
