Great Property, Even Better than Expected

Stayed a weekend, the property was nicely remodeled with upscale fixtures and furnishings, the kitchen has everthing you could possibly need. We spent our days on the back patio watching the wild life (lizards, quails, squirrels, birds) and our evenings by the fire pit gazing at the stars. The host provided great instructions on how to get there as well as everything you needed to know about the home itself. I couldn't be more pleased with our stay.

Rest and Relaxation

I have stayed at this property several times. My 5 star rating has been consistent with each stay. The location is convenient yet far enough out that the night sky and quiet are predictable and appreciated. The property is well appointed and very clean. Christopher is accessible and accommodating. I look forward to staying here again!

Over delivered

This is a very special place. Nothing is lacking in terms of amenities. If you want a quiet, beautiful location that’s still close to everything the outdoors has to offer, this is it. And as good as all of that is, the best part is the interaction and delivery of great service by the owner. Highly recommend.

Beyond Perfection

The dark sky house may be the best rental house I have ever experienced. Thank you! It’s location is absolutely stunning. The house was spotless and had everything that we could possibly need. I so appreciate this non toxic home. So many rentals don’t live up to their pictures. This one exceeded every expectation. From the interior design to the cookware to the custom printed books on the stars I just can’t thank you enough. What a joy of a place to stay and I’d love to come back! 5 stars all around!

Quiet Oasis in Desert

Loved our stay at the property and it did not disappoint when it came to stargazing. The host even gave us a heads up on a rocket launch occurring during our stay, which we were able to view from the house. The property is well-stocked and the kitchen has everything you could want for during your stay. Christopher was very responsive and provided detailed instructions for getting to/from the house. The house backs up to public property which we hiked to the top of several times and provided a panorama view of the area. We were able to see quail, numerous other birds, and a coyote from the house. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in the Joshua Tree area!

Predictably Wonderful

This property is located just close enough to town and JTNP and just far enough away to enjoy the peace and solitude of the high desert. The day and night views are spectacular. The home itself is laid out with bedrooms at opposite ends and living space between. If you want privacy it's available. If you want to come together there is ample space in which to do so. It's very clean, and well appointed. The beds and linens are wonderful, as are the baths and towels. We will look forward to staying at this property again. Christopher is a fantastic host, who's attention to detail is much appreciated!

Peace and Quiet

SUPER clean! Well appointed, classy yet comfortable space. Two of us and our two dogs spent three nights and never left the property. This property is elevated and boasts beautiful views. Looking to the South the Ridgeline of JTNP is the horizon line. There was still snow on San Jacinto and San Gorgonio off in the distance. The back patio and fire pit area look toward the North and a peaceful undeveloped hill of public land. The full moon rising down the valley from the East was the icing on the cake. This quiet space with its beautiful views is just what we needed. The location is perfect. Close enough to town if you need or desire to go. JTNP is close as well. We will visit again to be sure!

Amazing Views of the Desert

The home is gorgeous. Everything was new and so tastefully decorated. The home was well stocked; the kitchen had everything imaginable. We cooked everyday and ate outside on the patio. We relaxed around the fire pit and enjoyed star gazing. We spent a lot of time outside and were able to see local wildlife-quail, jack rabbits, and coyotes. Every room has a beautiful view of the desert. We loved sitting and looking out over the valley. It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Like a mid--century modern stage set

A clean, beautifully furnished house with a well-equipped kitchen with top of the line appliances that was even better than the photos. Comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms and views from every window. And blissful quiet at night, making it very easy to relax after a day of hiking in Joshua Tree. Christopher provided clear instructions for finding the house and for using every appliance inside. He responded instantly to any questions we had. I'd love to stay there again and would definitely recommend to friends.

What phenomenal place to stay for a long weekend trip to the desert!! Host was responsive and provided us with great information about the property and area. Perfect spot to relax

House is in a great location! Close to town but far enough away that you get the camping in the desert feel without having to actually camp. House is tastefully decorated and well equipped. We had a great time!

Perfection

Pics and description are accurate. Place is clearly well taken care of, clean, and perfect for a stay. It’s private and the views are wonderful to wake up to. You can catch the sunrise or just enjoy the scenery throughout the day. All areas of the home are enjoyable with the open layout. Great communication with the owner. Close to JT national park. Would stay, again.

Beautiful Place To Watch The Stars

Linens and towels are washed with fragrance-free environmentally friendly soap.
