Wonderful Emerald Island Getaway

Very clean, easy checkin, easy gate pass, steps away from beach. Would stay here again.

What an amazing stay! From the very beginning, our host made everything easy by checking in with clear instructions and thoughtful recommendations. The condo was clean, cozy and had an incredible view that made the whole experience relaxing. The beaches were absolutely beautiful - the sand was so soft and white it looked like it came straight from a sandbox. The beds were very comfortable, and the condo had everything we needed for a great trip. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely love to stay again!

Perfect location! Condo is 1-10 minutes from everything you would need - restaurants, shopping, groceries, mini golf, waterpark, bumper cars, ice cream shops, etc. Despite all of the surrounding amenities, condo complex was quite and uncrowded as was the beach. The perfect place to unwind. Owner was very kind, helpful, and responsive. It is very evident they take great pride in their home. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and quiet place to vacation to vacation that’s still close to all of the extras, this is the spot! The only thing I would note incase this is a consideration for others is that while the condo is handicap accessible with the convenient elevator access, the beach is not. There’s a decent flight of stairs to and from the sand.

Great location and view

The condo is comfy and spacious. The view from the primary bedroom and balcony of the ocean is fantastic. Our daughters loved having their own double beds instead of the more common twin beds. It was also fairly quiet even though there was some construction going on at an adjacent property. We had a minor cleaning issue upon arrival, but Terry did everything she could to address our concerns. We hope to stay here again.

Gorgeous views

Wonderful host, lovely condo with outstanding views of the beach and ocean. We watched dolphins multiple mornings from the balcony with a cup of coffee. Pool was clean and close to the condo. Will definitely try to book again.

RELAX - BE HAPPY

Location was excellent. Overlooking the ocean and listening to the crashing waves. Definitely will be coming back. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation without the hustle and bustle. This is the place.

The best view

This property is definitely beach front. It was so convenient to walk down to the beach and be able to quickly run back to the condo if we needed something. The private beach access also means there was always room for us and never felt crowded. We loved hearing and seeing the waves right from our room. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was beyond our expectations. The condo was exactly as described and communication was excellent. Spectacular views and right off the beach in a gated community. The condo was also well equipped with anything you may need. Very close to attraction and shopping. Besides the beach we also did the various close by trails which were a very unexpected surprise. Each of them had something different and we enjoyed all the wildlife. We'll definitely be renting again.

Best views in Emerald Isle !!

Not sure why they say "walk to the beach", when this unit is "on" the beach ! The best views from oceanfront balcony & main bedroom.Nice oceanfront secure gated community. Fully stocked kitchen w new appliances. But it really is all about the view here, we spent hours every day on the balcony admiring the expansive coastline, beach, ocean, sunrise & sunsets.

It’s an older condo, but well maintained and in a great location with an INCREDIBLE IVEAN VIEW. Every morning we were treated to a sunrise color show that was worth getting up early to watch.There was a slight glitch with getting the code to check in the front gate, but the owner was very quick to respond and solve the issue by calling and walking us through the gate code and front door code.Room was clean, beds were comfy and you are maybe 100 steps from the sand and another 100 from the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet, but walkable to restaurants, bars, Publix and Food Lion.

We've really enjoyed spending time at the Sound of the Sea property in Emerald Isle over the years, and this was our second time in this particular unit (Snoopy's Oasis). You can't beat the location of the unit within Sound of the Sea -- fantastic beachfront views, especially from the generously sized and nicely furnished balcony, and just a few steps away from the boardwalk leading down to the beach. We also *really* enjoy how you can walk to a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and other shops, even the Black Pearl mini-golf place.Like most of the units in the Sound of the Sea towers, the interior is definitely a bit dated (think popcorn ceilings, 90s-era bathrooms and slightly-beach-etched windows), and this one doesn't have an updated/renovated kitchen, but the kitchen is nicely appointed with pots and pans and utensils, and the TVs are modern and generously sized. The bedrooms are nice, with beds on the firmer side, and there are provided floor fans to help with ventilation in hotter/more humid conditions. Based on two years' experience, it's probably worth noting that some of the supplies are a bit scant -- one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, no shower soap or shampoo, no dish soap in the kitchen (or laundry detergent), and only two dishwasher pods were provided -- so it's something to be aware of as you shop for your stay.
