Oceanfront Cottage with Private Beach Access

Our family has cherished vacations in Emerald Isle, NC for generations. The memories we've created here are priceless, and in 2010, we were fortunate enough to make Emerald Isle our permanent home. We adore the small-town charm and the wonderful amenities that Emerald Isle and the surrounding areas offer to us and to our children.
We opened this beach cottage for guests in 2017, affectionately naming it "Isle Escape." Hosting guests has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and we've loved meeting the diverse array of visitors who have chosen our house for their vacation memories. Inspired by the positive experiences and feedback from our guests, we embarked on another house renovation in 2019, which we refer to as “Isle Stay Awhile”.
Whether at Isle Escape or at Isle Stay Awhile, we hope our guests feel at home and are able to unwind, relax, and make lasting memories that they will cherish for years to come.

Emerald Isle boasts over 12 miles of pristine beaches, offering a perfect blend of small-town charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Even on the busiest days, there's always room to spread out, relax, and soak in the sun.
For water enthusiasts, the public boat ramps provide easy access to a day of fishing, skiing, tubing, or exploring the many sandbars. The pier is a great spot to see what the anglers are catching or to try your luck at reeling in dinner. Local businesses offer a variety of activities, from offshore and inshore fishing to shelling tours, and rentals for kayaks, paddleboards, and surfboards.
Nature lovers will delight in the abundant wildlife, from graceful shorebirds and playful dolphins to the nesting turtles monitored by the Emerald Isle Sea Turtle Patrol. When you need a break from the beach, take a ride on the 11 miles of bicycle paths, hike the trails in the nature park, or enjoy the playground and recreational facilities.
On rainy days, the Emerald Plantation Movie Theater and the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium are perfect indoor escapes. Local shops offer everything from drinks and snacks to locally made goods, beach and fishing gear, games, and books.
Emerald Isle hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year, including the Emerald Fest Concert Series, the Annual St. Patrick’s Festival, and the Annual Christmas Parade. This oceanfront beach cottage is the perfect destination for a family getaway or a couple's retreat. The covered porch, complete with outdoor seating and dining, offers a view of the ocean where you might spot pods of dolphins. The spacious backyard provides ample room for outdoor play and includes a grill and patio area. The outdoor shower features hot and cold water, as well as a separate changing area, ensuring you can keep your clothes dry while you clean up after a fun day at the beach.
The house has a private beach access with seating on the dune overlook, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a drink at the end of the day. All bedrooms and the main living space offer ocean views. The bonus room is a great space to relax and watch a movie. Whether you want to sit back and or dive into all the fun the beach has to offer, this cottage is the perfect place to do it all.
