Loved staying here! The waterfall is amazing, and the views from the home are lovely. Only drawback - It was RIGHT off the road, and there was heavy machinery moving the remnants of a landslide, otherwise it would be a very peaceful place.

Property was perfect for a getaway with my family. The waterfall behind the cabin with the fire pit directly beside it was the perfect place to spend evenings together. An easy and beautiful drive to the cabin centrally located between Franklin and Highlands.

Fantastic getaway! Location was great between Franklin and Highlands. Access and parking for normal cars - do not need 4 wheel drive to get to property. Waterfall is shared with neighbors but had no idea they were even there.Will book again!

It's such a wonderful place to stay. Cried this morning when we left. Everything you need is there and it is private, even the waterfall. Owner is very nice and has a wonderful crew. Lost power for a small bit and Sherry was willing to drive an hour round trip to get a generator. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. It is about a 10 minutes to dollar general or 20 to a grocery store or walmart. Mileage is short the roads are slow and winding. The house is also central to a lot of the places if you're looking to hike to waterfalls and go into The Smokeys. Downtown Fanklin is small and charming.We recommend the steak house on Main St. Activities abound in Bryson city (easy drive, 45 minutes) with an entrance to The Smokys in the area of 3 waterfalls (Juney whank and 2 more in one 2 mile walk) Bryson also has a visitors center on the way into cades cove and clingmans dome. 10 minutes from there is the City of Cherokee with Harrods Casino and all things native, and hike Soco falls close by. If you do go into Bryson and want to see the sites I highly recommend renting a side by side from michelle and robbie, GTR adventures. Cut through the park and get places faster. From the house, 30 minutes in the other direction is Highlands, Sapphire and Cashiers. There, you have hiking trails, waterfalls, restaurants & shopping. The best is coming back, lighting a fire and unwinding by the waterfall. Our pup really loved splashing around the plunge pool.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, with proximity to hiking trails and other activities in each direction.The pictures don't do the backyard justice, as it was amazing. Not a much better view for coffee or anything.....The house met our needs and the kitchen was equipped with all needs. Very relaxing and highly recommend. Host was very responsive as well.

We had a nice time. We chose this property for the waterfall and our kids enjoyed playing in the water, which is shallow and safe. It was in a nice and quiet area. Shopping is close by.

The location is beautiful and the host went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. He communicated so well you can tell he really cares for his guests. We are looking forward to staying here again.

Beautiful Waterfall

Overall experience was wonderful! Never stayed in a place that had a waterfall in the backyard. Absolutely amazing. My grandson loved panning for "rocks" and playing in the water. I bet in mid-summer it is soooo refreshing. Though my granddaughter thought is was COLD, COLD, COLD! (relative to age I suspect - he's 5, she's 20!) I would recommend staying here for the waterfall experience alone.The house was pleasantly quirky and well stocked with appliances and any cooking utensil you may need. The grill worked great. To us the view and sound of the waterfall were just unapparelled!The A/C controls were programmed with set temps so I had to try to keep changing it to maintain a comfortable temperature for us (especially upstairs).You may want to bring your own toilet paper and towels. They only supply 1 ply TP. We could only find 6 towels (3 upstairs and 3 downstairs). 4 adults stayed for 6 nights.After driving over 8 hours we arrived about 35 mins earlier than the reservation check-in at 3. I did receive a txt from the owner that the house would be available at 1:00. The cleaning and prep service was there. This was absolutely no problem for us. She kindly let us put our groceries in the refrigerator and we said we would just enjoy the view until they finished. With that said, I'm not sure why there was a full size flat sheet with no fitted sheet on the queen bed (it did have a protector) , and a fitted sheet with no flat sheet on the king bed. I did find a closet full of bedding items, but too much to go through to find a complete set of sheets. Sorry to the service crew if we interrupted your work!Overall we had a marvelous time in such a beautiful part of North Carolina.

Beautiful spot and wonderful host!

We had the most wonderful stay over Mother’s Day weekend. The house was absolutely perfect — charming, cozy, and beautifully located. The nearby falls are truly breathtaking and added so much magic to our trip.The house itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and well-stocked with essentials like coffee and soap — such a helpful touch that made us feel right at home.The owner went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. When we accidentally left a bag behind, he made the process of getting it back incredibly easy and was genuinely happy to help. His kindness and responsiveness were the icing on the cake.This was one of those rare stays where everything just felt right. We can’t wait to return!

Definitely enjoyed my stay in this rare find of peace and tranquility with the majestic waterfalls right out your back door and the babbling Brook along the cottage is almost something I had a fantasies. Yes, the house is rustic, but comfortable and cozy, but my main reason of going there Wasn’t to sit in the cottage it was to explore the great outdoor outdoors and the various waterfalls throughout the area I would highly recommend anybody that loves nature and the sounds of water to come try this fantasy property for themselves.

The waterfall and View are the Star of the Show

This is a nice property. Neighbors are close on one side and only really noticeable if you are outside which you will be because of the waterfall. Not a man made waterfall - a true beautiful, peaceful breath taking waterfall right off the back deck. The house gives off very vintage cabin cottage vibes. All bedrooms are upstairs with a shared full bath and then there is another full bath downstairs. If you are coming with several people, pay close attention to the layout of the bedrooms. The house is dog friendly although not too many places to walk them that aren’t private properties. There are no food deliveries which isn’t a problem, just plan ahead. I would stay here again for the view alone and all of our guests agree.

Great Location and beautiful property

Had a great stay and loved this property. The waterfall was great and kids loved playing in the creek. Location is perfect and very convenient to both Highlands and Franklin. We will definitely book this cabin again!

Perfect stay

We spent Thanksgiving there and had a great time! My sons said it felt like home. The location is beautiful and the house is cozy. The pictures don't do the waterfall justice. Very cool property. Close to Franklin and Highlands and lots of waterfalls/hiking! We'll definitely be back!

Simply fantastic!

We booked back in August and after Helene we were worried about the location and the accessibility. Shawn was incredible. I must have texted him 100 times about everything and his response time is impressive. He answered all my questions and allayed our fears so we traveled to NC. Getting there was not a problem and the house was incredible. It was well stocked, had everything you could need and a few things you would not have thought of. Dog bowls, a kennel, books, pans for looking for gold in the creek, board games, firewood… and a smart TV for the kids. They had a blast climbing the waterfall, playing in the water and just being kids. Speaking of the waterfall, the photos made it look like a hike down to the fire pit and waterfall but it was right off the back patio. Also, there is a new deer head on the fireplace that was not in the photos… Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Waterfall Trip

The stay was amazing the waterfall is so beautiful the house is exactly as described “rustic “ but very clean a few little things should be put on the Fix list- 2 cracked windows in the dining area and the cushions on your outside furniture need replacing “stat” but this did not affect our overall stay. We had a great time and will be back Hilary

Truly serene

This property was exactly what we were looking for. Mountainside sights, tranquility right in the backyard and comfort inside the home .. I could keep going with plenty more, honestly. We held a small wedding ceremony next to the fall, where several butterflies joined. Sat and enjoyed guitar play by the fire, watched movies with the falls in view, from the sofas. ❤️ Looking forward to our next stay here. Thanks Jason! Sincerely, Kristyn

The waterfall and your dog…what more do you need?

The waterfall is amazing and literally off the back deck. Views of the falls from most anywhere in the house. Kitchen well set up. Clean. Stayed here with senior dogs and appreciate the dog-friendly stay. The cabin is right near two others and a steep road so be mindful of that if bringing pets. Stairs are steep to second floor and decks are multi-level, so maybe not ideal for pets or folks with mobility issues. But the view of the waterfall was so unique and special. Communication was prompt. We had an issue with hot water that was quickly resolved and didn’t affect our stay. It’s a vintage cabin and you’re in the mountains! We ate in Highlands at Four65 Woodfire each night-great wine and food! Visited Franklin and enjoyed the greenway for our dogs and the Main Street cafes. Just the getaway we needed. Excellent.

Waterfalls and more waterfalls

This house was very comfortable. Had all amenities we needed. The outdoor space beautiful with the waterfall and fire pit. Lots of beautiful trails to hike in the area. Walking around downtown Franklin always fun. If you like to hike but not sure where to go we always stop by Outdoor 76 to pick up some souvenirs and talk to whoever is working that day (they all know the area and the best hikes for whatever the skill level)

Waterfall Lover's Heaven

Rustic home with lots of old character overlooking a beautiful waterfall! Centrally located to many towns & hikes. Host was super with communication. He set up a Christmas tree for our family and gave us a bottle to celebrate the new year too! He was quick to respond and gave great suggestions. Restaurants we'd recommend in the area- Taco Loco right down the street (I know it's part of a gas station, but it was soooooo good), Bent Willow for coffee & pastries in Franklin, 828 Cafe for breakfast & lunch in Franklin, Blue Bike Cafe in Highlands for breakfast & lunch, White Moon Cafe in Sylva for coffee & breakfast and Happs in Glenville for lunch (great outdoor area with cornhole- dog friendly). Thank you for welcoming us and our dogs into your home!

Thanksgiving Family

It was a neat place! The waterfall is amazing, we could look out the window and see it lit up beautifully at night from the main room and the master bedroom.. it was peaceful.. we live the natural fire place and outdoor fire pit.. location was excellent for Franklin, Highlands, and Cashiers- Highly recommend staying there!
