Had a great stay! Property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a great vacation. We enjoyed the pool and had easy access to the beach. The check-in process was extremely easy and the owner was very responsive to questions.

This is an awesome property. Everything was just as described. Lots of nice linens and beach towels the pool was greatly enjoyed by the 4 teens. It was nice for all rooms to have a bathroom of their own. The pantry and refrigerator were large enough for ten of us. This home was very much enjoyed with plenty of room. The golf cart was very nice to have for morning coffee runs to Bad Ass Coffee, the beach, etc Everything was very clean. You will love it there!!

Great stay

Overall great stay, satisfied all our needs! Spacious bedrooms and relaxing pool! Golf cart was a nice addition for access to restaurants and beach. We would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends!

Second Visit

This was our second time staying at this property. Just a good as last time. In fact my children said it felt like coming home. Kitchen has everything you could ever need to cook. Beds are very comfortable. Garage is stocked with many chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. Enjoyed our week with family.

Lovely property

My family and I stayed here for a week in April and loved everything about this stunning property! The golf cart for our person use was the cherry on top, making getting around to the beach and local shops very easy. Eric and Jessica were quick to respond to our questions or concerns and as accommodating as they could be. The neighborhood is gorgeous and felt very safe for our teenage children to walk around alone. The only downside of this rental, as with many, is such late check in (5pm) and early check out (10am). We definitely felt like we lost a days vacation on either end. But the property itself, again, absolutely beautiful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Beach Getaway!

Our family had such a great time at Western Sands! One of the cleanest and well stocked vacation rentals I've ever stayed in. The house had everything we needed and the location was great! It was walkable to the beach and was nearby restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The pool was amazing and so much was accessible by golf cart, we barely had to get in our car to go anywhere all week. Jessica was also super responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we hope to be back!

Girls Trip

Our vacation was fantastic! The house was very clean and exactly as advertised. The kitchen had all of the dishes, cooking tools, etc that we needed. There was a cooler, beach chairs, floats, etc available. The pool was the perfect size with plenty of pool chairs, table and grill. We were able to use the golf cart to go to the beach but also close enough to walk if we wanted. We happen to be there during hurricane Helene and the host checked in on us to be sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. Luckily, we were far enough away from any impact from the storm. We wound definitely go back and would recommend this house to others.

Very nice home with great amenities.

Overall we had a nice stay but some suggestions to make stay even better, need luggage stand in downstairs bedroom, corners of rug in family room were unglued and caused tripping, no closet in master bedroom, should provide dishwasher pods for at least 5 days, and some dining room chairs were kind of wabbly.

Wonder home!

Our family stayed June 8-16, 2024. 6 adults and 4 kids. We had a wonderful time, and the home was everything we could have imagined. Very clean, well-furnished and decorated. Neighborhood was nice and for the most part, peaceful. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay, clean, tons of amenities!

This place was beautiful! The pool was perfect for our family. Plenty of bath towels and extra beach towels that were put to great use. The three beach chairs allowed us to travel with less. Lots of beach toys for my little niece. Loved the golf cart and how many places that could be accessed on it! No tents were allowed on the private beach so we drove down about 5 mins to the public access which was very nice! We loved all of the games that came in the house. We played a board game or cards every night! Cooking was a breeze thanks to all of the cookware, bakeware and utensils. We couldn’t find a single thing that was missing. Would highly recommend and would stay again!!

This was the perfect house and location for our family of 8. All adults. Kitchen had everything you could ever need. Also included lots of extras for the beach like chairs and toys!! Would 100 percent stay here again.

Wonderful Family Trip

House was clean, spacious, and well appointed. Everything was exactly as advertised. You can tell the owners really take pride in their home and provided lots of extra ammenties which we appreciated. My kids loved the pool. Modern kitchen was great for the nights we cooked dinner. The golf cart which came with the house was a nice bonus as we used it to go back and forth to the beach, restaurants, and ice cream. First time visiting this part of Florida and it is very lovely with its beautiful beaches and laid back vibe. The only negative aspect of the trip was that there was a lot of “partying” teens/college aged kids spending Spring break in the area/neighborhood…so there was some behaviors on display that weren’t family friendly. Of course, that has nothing to do with the house or owner. One very small suggestion from the girls in my family is that addition of full length mirror in house would be good to have. Overall, it was a great stay and a great spot. Would definitely be interested in renting this home again.

Loved everything, perfect

This house was perfect for my family (7 adults). We stayed for a week in February and it was perfect. The heated pool was amazing and the perfect way to start or end the day. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and beautiful with a couple ponds that made for a great dog walk. Everything is within a golf cart ride, very easy to park a car and only use the cart for the entire stay. My whole family can't stop talking about how perfect this house was and are already talking about going back. A great stay with everything you need, very clean, and very responsive hosts.

We only work with them!

This is our third time staying with Eric and Jessica because we love their attention to detail so much! The house that we usually rent was already booked, but we trust them so much that we had NO doubts in renting a different place with them! We have not had great experiences with other properties and/or management companies in the past, and didn't want to take the gamble with somebody new. The Western Sands did not disappoint! We usually try to look for a ranch style house to avoid the stairs, but this house had a full bathroom and bedroom on the bottom floor by the kitchen, so it was not a problem for us. I loved the style and decorations. The kitchen was fully stocked with so many items that we weren't missing anything. They DO NOT pick out skimpy bathroom towels in their houses, which I really appreciate! They also provided about a dozen separate pool towels, which helps with suitcase space. It was very clean!! The overall quality of everything is just better. As far as the neighborhood goes, it is gated and nice. Pavered streets and driveways which gives it a cozy touch. We did our trip in the winter this time so it was very quiet with no traffic. We were about 4-5 minutes from the Outlet mall, which I loved! And there is a little Coffee Shop right outside the neighborhood gate on the beach road. I did notice that this neighborhood does have a community pool, but we did not use it because of our private pool, and the pool heater works great! We'll be back!

Awesome Experience

We stayed here in August and had a great trip. The weather was perfect. Beaches were beautiful property was everything I expected. I was impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, dishes, and everything we needed from baking to cooking. The kids enjoyed the pool! Would stay here again.

Perfect

House was perfect! Good proximity to the beach and the golf cart was a huge plus! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We lucked out with having perfect weather all week. It was great spending the day at the beach then coming back to the house and lounging by the pool with a cocktail. Would definitely come back next time we visit Destin!

We can't wait to meet you!
Our names are Eric and Jessica Massingill & we are locals in the Walton county area! We have owned & managed our vacation rental ourselves in the past! Our quality and attention to detail has gotten us noticed! So now we are scaling our boutique, family business-style and managing a few rentals for a couple of wonderful owners!

We are a great pair of young professionals, and we are connected with other great young professionals in the area as well. Eric carries a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. Jessica was military raised as her father is a retired veteran out of Eglin Air Force Base. We choose to home school our four children, which currently range in ages from 5 to 16 years old.

It is our vision to expand our Vacation Rental Business in this area! Our older children are very excited about being raised in our entrepreneurship. We are looking forward to watching them experience growth and pride for something they can accomplish themselves!
