Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

New Orleans has a way of getting under your skin - the second-line rhythms drifting through open windows, the scent of chicory coffee and jasmine, the feeling that something worth remembering is always just around the corner. This Victorian shotgun duplex puts you right in the middle of it, with a backyard fire pit waiting for you at the end of every night.

The space
The lower unit of this historic duplex carries the bones of old New Orleans while living comfortably in the present. Shotgun architecture - rooms flowing one into the next in that distinctly Creole way - gives the home real character, and the décor respects it. A private entrance keeps things feeling like your own place, not a hotel room.

Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms are set up for restful nights after long days in the city, each made up with soft linens and inviting beds. The single bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, with plenty of hot water for a long soak when your feet have had enough of the French Quarter cobblestones.

Kitchen & dining
The fully stocked kitchen is ready for everything from a slow morning coffee to an evening of cooking before you head out. You'll find a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, along with cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, a baking sheet, and a coffee maker. The dining table makes it easy to eat in whenever the city's restaurant lines feel too long.

Outdoor living
Step out to the fenced backyard - a genuinely rare thing in this part of New Orleans. A copper fire pit with Adirondack chairs is the natural end-of-evening gathering spot, and the BBQ is ready when you want to cook outside. An outdoor cooler keeps drinks cold. Whether it's a quiet nightcap or a relaxed evening with friends, the backyard earns its keep.

Comfort & connectivity
Air conditioning, heating, a ceiling fan, and room-darkening shades keep things comfortable regardless of what the Louisiana weather decides to do. A washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, a TV, and a sound system cover the practical and the enjoyable. Extra pillows and blankets, iron, and a full set of essentials round out what you'll need. Free street parking is available, and Trader Joe's is a few blocks away for easy grocery runs.

Location
The Superdome, the French Quarter, and the festival grounds are all within walking distance - this is as central as it gets for experiencing New Orleans without a car. Whether you're here for a Saints game, Jazz Fest, or simply to wander, the city's best is right at your door. Pets are welcome to join the adventure.
