This is a lovely home with some nice amenities. The host Julia was great with communications before our arrival and gave a nice tour of the home during check in.

We had a wonderful stay! We had every amenity that we needed from the kitchen to living spaces and to our delight welcoming us with a few fresh staples and Merry Edwards wine was amazing. If you are looking for a quiet space but close to town…. This is your spot

Great Getaway

Perfect chill spot for party of 8. Well stocked kitchen was perfect for the meals we had planned to make there. Merry Edwards tasting was a nice bonus. We'll be back!

What a great jumping off point for visiting wineries in the Russian River Valley and across Sonoma!! We enjoyed the hot tub, walked through the vineyard every morning, enjoyed coffee and breakfast, and even cooked dinner one night. It was a fantastic weekend, and Julie was a wonderful host. She was accessible and communicated with us quickly and proactively. The house was comfortable and well-furnished for our group. We will be back!

A lovely getaway

We had a fabulous time during our stay. The house was lovely and in a perfect location. And the owner Julie could not have been more helpful and responsive. We would recommend to anyone looking for a group trip to wine country.

Incredible Stay!

We loved every second being at The Maefield Vineyard House. It was an all around perfect weekend getaway with 8 friends. So cozy, clean, perfect location, private, and had so many personal touches like fruit, bread, a complimentary bottle of wine and tasting at Merry Edwards, etc. Hope to come back again soon to Russian River and stay here again! 10/10!

Family Christmas

As a family we have stayed at various homes over the years for our get togethers. This house far exceeded all others in our experience. There were so many little extra touches provided that welcomed us and made our stay more comfortable. The host was excellent at communicating with us throughout our stay. Thank you Julie!

Upscale and worth it!

Julie, our host, was welcoming and invited us into a nicely furnished home. The well-stocked kitchen accommodated the 8 adults in our family who enjoyed many meals with tasty wine around the large hand-crafted, beautiful redwood table. Ensuite bedrooms were very roomy; to note, all beds were Queens. The placement of the house, surrounded by vineyards, lent us privacy and opportunities for nice family photos!

Wine tasting with family and friends

Absolutely beautiful! So clean and in the middle of a vineyard. Julie, owner was great at communicating and even met us at our wine tasting. The place had plants and fresh flowers. Beds were so comfy. We had such a blast in the hot tub and playing cards at the large redwood table!! Would totally recommend.

Wine Country Dream

This place is truly special! The location--vineyard views and fruit trees from every window, the layout--ideal for larger groups that like to gather over meals but also enjoy having some space, the amenities and thoughtful touches--incredibly well-stocked and applianced chef's kitchen, breakfast items and a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival, make-up mirrors, lovely soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, and the complimentary tasting at Merry Edwards put this vacation rental over the top. Julie, the property manager, was so helpful and flexible and made this a stay to remember! We hope to return and highly recommend this fantastic property.

Our stay at the Maefield Vineyard House was just perfect! The house is truly peaceful and surrounded by vineyards. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen which we did use to cook. Julie looked out for our every need and was readily available when we had questions. She even brought us eggs from her chickens along with some bread and jam. The rooms are spacious, each with their own ensuite bathroom, just as described. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. The property is really gorgeous and clean with every amenity you could think of. One of the best parts of our stay was all of the birds - as a birder, it was delightful to see everything from house finches to juncos to yellow-rumped warblers. There were also acorn woodpeckers and northern flickers plus an american kestrel and a red-tailed hawk, just to name a few of the birds we would see in the morning. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to do another ladies wine weekend again there soon.

A peaceful cozy New Year Weekend retreat

My closest friends and I booked Maefield Vineyard House on New Year weekend to have a quiet celebration away from it all, and it was perfect. The kitchen was well-equipped enough for our group of foodies, the fire was cozy (and the firewood was easy to access), the hot tub and sauna provided a great way to warm up on the chilly days, and there was plenty of room for us to both gather when we wanted to and have space when we needed it. I especially appreciated that there were plenty of extra blankets, towels, and linens, and that the laundry room had scent-free detergent! My only suggestion for improvement would be a little more light--especially on the dark, drizzly days, even with all the lights in the house turned to max brightness, it felt dark. I am looking forward to booking this place again!

AH-MAZING!

We are beyond grateful for our stay at this incredible property, and the listing only begins to capture how truly special it is. Everything was perfect. Julie, the host, went above and beyond—she was thoughtful, communicative, and so helpful. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome, meeting us at the house with fresh flowers and sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. Our group of 8 adults (4 couples) felt so comfortable in the spacious, private en-suite bedrooms, each thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need—soaps, shampoos, plenty of towels, hair dryers—you name it. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making our stay that much more relaxing. The kitchen was another highlight. Although we didn’t have time to cook a grand meal, the high-end appliances and fully stocked kitchen with dishes, wine glasses, and utensils made it clear that creating a memorable dinner here would have been a joy. Outside, the property was just as stunning. Set on a private vineyard, the home featured a jacuzzi, sauna, and a beautiful wrap-around deck with multiple views of the vineyard. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. If you’re looking for a lush, relaxing retreat, this is the place. We couldn’t have asked for a more delightful stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

Luxury Vacation Home

We are four couples who annually travel together. We chose Sonoma County for our destination this year. We were delighted to find the Maefied House in our search. It is situated right in the midst of a vineyard with occasional on-site field hands working the crops. It is so cool! The house is set way back from the road, so it is very private. There is a gate at the property entrance, so it feels very safe, too. As you drive down the long driveway, you can see grape vines on both sides of the driveway. It truly is remarkable! Our communication with the host was great from the start and she made sure that our stay was top notch. We even got to meet her which was a treat too. On arrival, our host had so many little gifts for us including fresh fruit, bread, fresh eggs, and cream and even a bottle of wine! The cupboards were loaded with spices and extras. Not a penny was spared on the quality of the amenities. Everything in the house is high-end including furniture (an amazing redwood dining table!) appliances, linens, cutlery, glassware, etc.. We loved the attention to detail the owners have given to make the guest’s stay a little slice of heaven. The house comes with a hot tub and even a sauna! Each bedroom is very comfortable, and each has little balconies where you can sit and look out at the vineyard. So lovely. The front and back patio spaces are so pleasant, too. Just sitting outside looking at the vineyard is a vacation in and of itself! Even though we were out of the house a lot, exploring the area, since there is so much to do, the times spent in the house were so relaxing. The rooms are all so cozy. There is a plethora of towels, and the bathrooms are equipped with essentials as well. A special treat was the wine tasting that our host provided for us at the local winery that owns this guest house. Merry Edwards winery is just down the road a piece and we were treated to an hour of wine tasting along with lots of history provided of the area and education on why this area is so perfect for growing grapes. We learned that the Maefied House sits on the vineyard that supplies some of the grapes for the Merry Edwards Wines! Everything you need is provided and if not, you are not far from a grocery store for food and sundries and just a text away from getting in touch with the host. We have stayed in several rental properties over the years. We can honestly say we had absolutely nothing negative to say about this place!

My group and I were blown away by this property. We had everything we needed to be comfortable as 7 adults. We made multiple meals during our stay, all of us were able to enjoy the hot tub at the same time, it was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, shower pressure was great, and Julie our host was so fabulous! Truly a 10/10 experience!!!

This was a beautiful place to have a three generation family reunion The house is lovely, well laid out, and well equipped. Hot tub in the sunrise while being serenaded by a mockingbird was a highlight. The kitchen is a cooks dream and the complimentary Sauvignon Blanc delicious!

A perfect weekend away

We were a group of six staying at Maefield House. This is an amazing property and we are already dreaming of a return visit! Julie is the contact for the property and was very helpful. She gave us some great suggestions for local restaurants and responded to any questions we had immediately. She kindly had some local bread and fruit for us on arrival and even some eggs from her own chickens! The house itself is breathtaking. All of the guest rooms were perfect. The large wooden table in the dining area is what caught my eye when I was researching different properties for our stay - and it did not disappoint! The kitchen is a great size for cooking for large groups and there is so much space to entertain between all the outdoor areas too. A wine tasting is included in the stay and this was a perfect way to start our weekend. We had bikes delivered to the house on the second day from a local bike shop in Forestville called Russian River Cycles.. the owner is Brian and he was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend cycling as part of your trip. We cycled from the house to Sebastopol and it was one of the highlights for me - second to waking up in the middle of a vineyard! Don’t hesitate to book this property - you will not regret it!!

Wonderful stay with family in perfect part of RR

Julie was wonderful for check in process and it was very straightforward. The house was perfect size for two families. Beds very comfortable, well stocked towels etc and the welcome gifts of fruit, eggs, bread and coffee made the arrival that much easier. Good HVAC and hot tub and sauna all in working and great condition. It’s very much a rental which is double edged- wonderfully clean and access to linens, amenities but could be softened up with a rug or two and some art but hey it’s a good place to rest your head regardless in wine country! Encourage you to plan on a sunset dinner as the deck and view over the vineyards is wonderful
