We had a wonderful time! Our large group fit comfortably in the spacious house, and Jeff was friendly, accommodating, and always quick to respond to our questions.The weather was challenging, which was no one's fault, but it did mean we spent more time indoors than expected. The house became quite warm, as the air conditioning is limited. Once the weather improved, we were able to spend nearly all our time outside and on the lake. The outdoor space is fantastic and offers just about everything you could ask for.The price was reasonable, and overall, I would highly recommend this property.

Property overall was good great access to the water. To much taxidermy for a rental property, however it didn't bother us. Floor fans were dirty with dust as was the light above the kitchen table. Oder of staleness throughout. Lack of A/C in the main areas, some windows did not open.However the home was generally clean.

For me it’s all about the water. We had great access, kayaks, great place for bomb fire large amount of setting . Deck with more setting and bar area which kept you out of the sun if you wanted. Beautiful hot tub. Inside had everything you needed from cooking to towels, soaps ect Host was awesome very easy to contact and got back to you within a matter of minutes. Defiantly a placeI will stay again . Thank you Jeff for the amazing week.

Perfect spot

Jeff was wonderful and helpful. The property has plenty of room and a great yard. Good value for the amenities. Highly recommend!

We had a group of 13 adults. We had plenty of space to all be together and enough room to spread out if we wanted. Kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed to prepare large meals. Lake front was beautiful. Plenty of outdoor seating by the bonfire.

Relaxing and excellent accommodations

Beautiful property. All necessities were included at the house making the stay hassle free. Quiet lake front and beautiful scenery. This was our first time renting a lake house and it did not disappoint!

Beautiful lake

We enjoyed our stay. Lake was clean and beautiful. The deck was a nice place to eat. The inside was roomy. A few glitches with the house, but the owner was quick to respond. Overall an enjoyable stay at the lake.

Rustic Get Away

The owner was very responsive to our every need and the house was at a great location. I wouldn't recommend this house for elderly people as the floors are uneven.

Fabulous getaway

House was great! Central AC would have been nice but a basement sleeping arrangement worked out well. Lots of shade outside. Beautiful views!

My wedding at Jeff’s house ♥️

Jeff was very kind with us! He let us use all the amenities of the house. He even sent a person to help with the outdoor cleaning. The wedding was a dream, the lake, the view, and the people around, is a perfect spot to enjoy with the family. The next day for sure we used the kayak and the jacuzzi 😍 Thanks for everything Jeff!

Safari Home

Wonderful home and beach access. Perfect for a summer family party. My son loved the two sided outside bar. No central air but bedroom unit kept the first floor satisfactory. Some windows and outside deck areas could be improved/cleared. More than adaquate paper, soap and cleaning products provided. Thank you Jeff !

Lake house

It was great the owner is great as well. The dock doesn’t have any way to tie a boat up. The boat hoist works great for v style boats only not pontoons. Great yard and great neighbors. We don’t stay up late and party all night so the neighbors might not like that but they are great. Great sun at night perfect view of sunset every night. Best part is you only really have to bring food owner supplies pretty much everything you need.

Safari Style Lakehouse With A Great View

We stayed at this lakehouse to celebrate our daughter's Sweet 16th Birthday. My husband and myself brought our daughter who turned 16 while we were there, and 10 of her 16 year old girlfriends. We were there from July 8th, 2025 through July 11th, 2025. The property had more than enough room for all of our sleeping arrangements. Everything we needed was already there for us to use: towels, Washcloths, paper plates, plastic cutlery, toilet paper, paper towels, etc...Jeff, the owner is amazing at communicating with his guests. I had many questions leading up to our trip and even while we were there. He was more than accommodating. Each time I would text him about something he would call me almost immediately. There was even a day when we needed a glass measuring cup and I texted him to ask if there was one on property that we could use. Normally he does have one there, but we couldn't find it, so he offered to call his neighbor so we could borrow one to measure our waffle mix, lol. Our stay was peaceful, fun and beautiful. The Hot-Tub out on the back deck was a huge hit with 11 sixteen year old girls. The firepit was gigantic and we had a couple of really nice campfire nights while we were there. The house itself is beautiful. It is a safari theme with many different animal heads mounted on the walls. It didn't seem to phase the girls. They got a kick out of the turkey and even named him while we were there. They named him 'Thanksgiving Dinner' ...LOL...We had a great time.

Pros: Host contact prior to check in/told me to let him know our arrival so he could talk me through the house setup. House well stocked:soaps paper products dishes linens. Large lot/plenty of seating/fire pit. Large back deck. Kitchen appliances good working order. Very large master bedroom/bath Washer/dryer available Owner fixed issue with lower window unit & toaster promptlyCons: Upper bedrooms not useable bc of heat. Ran units/fans as directed & temperature was not conducive for sleeping. Kitchen & main floor living areas very warm. We were instructed to leave the door open but then got house flies galore in the house. Ended up renting large stand up unit for 200 which made the week bearable. I asked about the air conditioning situation prior to taking this rental last June. Was told that split units were being put in for main living area in September. Apparently didn’t happen. Kitchen has a very small eating area so if you’re stuck inside with inclement weather be aware that table only fits 4 Suggestions: Keep a few cupboards empty for groceries. Kept most non perishables in bins bc there wasn’t cupboards to put it in. Bring popup to cover the table on back deck. The nuts that fall from tree are obnoxious and afternoon sun bakes you back there. One additional note is the pictures online show some taxidermy on walls. Be prepared that there is a lot & while it’s not my thing the grandsons loved it

Jeff was very accommodating and available. Answered any questions promptly. Our family absolutely LOVED the yard, deck and bar area!! Central air would be nice, but would not stop us from going again. The house was very well stocked. Hot tub was a real plus! Thanks for a memorable vacation with our family!!

Don't know if cleaner never came but house smelled like dog we had to vacum and got alot of dog hair off rugs counters had a film pillow case in an upstairs bedroom was dirty .hardly any of the windows open . Hot tub was dirty after he cane to bring the sticks to check levels and add chemicals we looked later and was heavy scum around the top . We did not end up going in .We were very excited to go there but house has alot to be desired cleanliness wise. View amazing outdoor patio nice also. For the amount of money I dont think I would return there . Maybe just a bad week for the cleaner !

Beautiful location with adequate parking and lake access. We particularly enjoyed the deck and kayaks. Jeff was friendly, available and responsive. The basic description of the house was accurate regarding number of beds and baths. It’s a fine place for a weekend of fishing and hunting and should be identified as such. However, the pictures on VRBO did not reflect the number of mounted heads, stuffed animals and skins which are displayed throughout the house. The house is cluttered and musty smelling. The fourth “bedroom” was a basement filled with four beds. The kitchen cabinets were full of stuff but all need a good cleaning and organization. The paddle boat is old and unusable. The shower in the master bedroom has no door or shower curtain. It was not a typical VRBO property based on our experience.

Great vacation home for family and pets

We truly enjoyed the home and surrounding property. Visiting in the fall was a plus for us to enjoy the changing colors of nature and a quieter lake atmosphere. We felt at home here and the house/property had everything we needed. Jeff is a great host and kindly allowed us to take our dog Buckley to the property. Buckley enjoyed the lake as much as we did. Thank you, Jeff!
