The Shack - Pauanui Guest House - 2 Bedrooms - Self-Contained + Full Kitchen

Escape to our cosy 2-bedroom guesthouse in the heart of Pauanui — merely a 1 minute stroll to shops and 10 mins to the beach. Fully separate from the main house including reliable wifi, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, kitchenette & a BRAND NEW bathroom! Perfect for couples, families, or friends looking for a getaway in the stunning Coromandel or those passing through for work.

The Shack is a perfect base for a coastal getaway in Pauanui. Tucked away beside our home but designed with privacy in mind, this space offers everything you need to settle in and unwind.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable open-plan living area with a dining table, sofa, air conditioning, flatscreen TV & sound bar — a cosy spot to gather after a day at the beach. Reliable guest wifi is accessible throughout. The full kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer, stovetop, microwave, and all the basics for cooking at home.

There are two bedrooms:
• The main bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and the bathroom is accessed through this room ONLY.
• The second bedroom has a bunk bed (double/single) and ample sliding wardrobe storage.

As of June ‘26 we have a BRAND new fully tiled bathroom including all new finishings. Please note that the bathroom is accessed off the guesthouse’s main bedroom.

Step outside to the covered outdoor area, perfect for relaxing with a drink or enjoying a meal in the fresh air. Retractable privacy screens on both sides allow you to adjust the space to suit the weather and your comfort.

We’ve recently finished building our main home, so you’ll notice the landscaping is still in progress. Work is only carried out when the shack is not occupied.
