Adorable cottage on Silver Lake. The property includes 180' of sandy beach front shared by eight cottages in this small community. This cottage is closest to the water. There is a shared gazebo, brick patio, playground, fire pit, wine deck, water slide, and boat docks. Enjoy beautiful sunset views!

Cottage includes two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other has two twin sized beds. It has one bathroom, a full kitchen, A/C, TV, WIFI and DVD player, gas grill and three kayaks.

Cozy, comfortable and immaculate cottage! Several outdoor amenities made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. Loved the wine and treats the hosts left, and they quickly responded to questions. Would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic time! The property was great and the location was fantastic. A perfect little cottage for a summer getaway. The cottage was very well cared for and the owners had great communication. We hope to make it back next year!

Great cottage on a beautiful lake, close to everything

Our family loved this cottage and property. You can't be on a lake any closer to Traverse city, this is the closest one. The property is great, with 7 other cabins on the property there were lots of chances to meet other vacationers, and for our son to play with other kids. beach and water were beautiful, and the cabin was perfect for us, and very clean.

Perfect weekend getaway

Perfect little place for a couples summer weekend getaway. The access to the beach is perfect and being able to use kayaks with the rental was perfect for the two of us. They included an amazing bottle of wine for our anniversary which was very sweet and gave it that extra touch. 10/10 plan on booking again in the future.

Clean, comfortable and a good location. The cottage is well stocked and the owners are friendly! They even gave us a welcome bottle of wine. We stayed to attend a concert in Interlochen. Wishing we would have booked for longer than two nights.

The cottage is very quaint and extremely clean. Perfect for 3-4 people. The view is amazing even with the cold, windy and rainy weekend. The fireplace was a nice addition, since it was too windy and rainy for a bonfire. The hosts are great. They are accommodating and responded quickly to our messages. They even left a very sweet welcome gift. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Sweet spot

We stayed 2 nights and the experience was great. Its a quiet and beautiful location. The gazebo has plenty of space to enjoy the lake. I would recommend this location for max 4/5 person.

Excellent location and love this cabin. Could use some new furniture. Ceiling fans and blinds need a good cleaning but we really enjoyed our stay.

Cancer survival celebration!!

We went to a concert at Interlochen and spent the weekend celebrating the ending of my cancer treatment and my cancer free diagnosis. This place was a perfect getaway. We cant wait to come back again.

Adorable Cottage for Family of 4 getaway

First visit to Michigan and so glad we rented this adorable cottage. Clean-well stocked-easy to communicate to host-pictures are accurate and loved the location of lake to cottage. We had the best week and house was perfect allowing us to explore all the tourist attractions around Traverse City. We are a family of 4 (2 teens) super comfy all week and would rent or recommend to family for future vacations.

Incredible stay!

We stayed at the cottage for almost a week and it was glorious! Super clean, incredible views of the lake, has everything in the kitchen you could need. The fire pit, kayaks, and gazebo made the stay even better. Lori was SUPER quick to respond to any questions we had and was really easy to check in. We hope to come back next summer! Thank you for a wonderful family vacation:)

Relaxing and peaceful

The setting is idyllic. We loved sitting outside eating BBQ dinner and watching the sun set over the lake. We made multiple kayak trips on the lake and found lots to see and do in the area. The house is compact but very well laid out and functional. The hosts made us feel very welcome.

Very cozy lake cottage

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's close enough to everything to have easy access to everything the area has to offer in a short drive. The cottage is small, but it has everything you could need and is truly cozy. It was also more than enough space for our small family of four. You have access to a small shared beach right behind the property and our son spent most of his time playing there. We would definitely stay here again.

Lakeside getaway

This was a second visit to this property, in the springtime just prior to the busy summer season. Itā€™s small but well appointed and very well kept. The location is convenient to downtown Traverse City a few miles away, but quiet and relaxed. I would recommend it to small groups or a family. The hosts are proactive and friendly. Thanks for another pleasant stay.

Charming & Peaceful

We so enjoyed our short stay at this charming, peaceful property. Silver Lake is a large, crystal clear body of water and so close to Traverse City. Loons called in the morning and at nighttime, too. Wonderful Stay

This cute little cottage met all our expectations. My husband & I travel to Traverse City every summer & wanted to stay away from the traffic & crowds along the hotel/resort thoroughfare & this property was perfect. It was a short drive to the downtown area. This cottage has a beautiful view of the lake, although it was pretty cool during our stay so we werenā€™t able to enjoy the outdoor amenities. Kevin & Teresa are perfect hosts & all communications were very timely.

Beautiful cozy cottage, perfect location.

My wife and I decided to have a long weekend getaway. The cottage is right on the lake, it has awesome views of the sunset. The grounds are well kept, the gazebo overviews the whole lake, so it was nice enjoying a drink or a meal right at sunset. The downtown TC was only 10-12 minutes away so it was fine for us. The cottage itself had everything we need it, and it felt cozy and comfortable. I would like to come back here again with family so we can all enjoy a nice relaxing weekend.

Beautiful Property and Cozy

We really enjoyed our stay, and the property is beautiful. The beach is wonderful and lake access is right out your back door. The cabin is cozy and it comfortably fit our family of three, but I believe it would be a tight squeeze with four or more. The only thing that would have made the trip a 5 star is a washer/dryer. Unfortunately, the weather was bad our first day, and we got soaked at our soccer tournament, and we came back before our second game and had no way to get her uniform dry. Again, fantastic stay and beautiful location.

Soccer weekend

Loved the peacefulness of the lake and the proximity of the house to the gazebo and lake. It's a tight fit for 4 adults, but worked well for the 3 of us. Others had commented about the strong perfume smells - we would agree. The onliy negative to this property was the strong strong fragrance - from the wall plug in to the sheets/blankets - everything was scented. Hosts were super responsive and house was super cute. We had a great time!

Cockroaches

We found multiple cockroaches in this property. We caught one and left it for the owner to see. We thought the place was nice otherwise and the community area is great for kids. We wish we didnā€™t bring cockroaches home with us. The air conditioner is loud and cumbersome- sitting in the middle of the kitchen. The owner has not responded to us regarding compensation for the cockroaches- we threw out anything with small holes that couldnā€™t be washed. We spent hours bagging things so that we wouldnā€™t bring them into our home. We ended up finding a live cockroach in our daughters jumper.

Everything you'd want for vacation at the lake!

We have spent a "girls' weekend" on a northern Michigan lake every summer for 20 years. This was the best place we have rent! It matched all of our requirements: Cottage was right on the lake so we could open the curtains and see the water each morning and watch the lake turn to glass in the evenings. There was a sandy beach to plop our beach chairs next to the water and the lake was sandy and clear for wading and floating. There was also a brick patio area with very nice lounge chairs if you preferred sitting close but not on the beach. The large gazebo was perfect for sitting out of the sun and enjoying a cup of coffee or lunch while meeting folks from other cabins there. We got a couple tips for exceptional restaurants from talking with others at the gazebo and bon fire pit. It is beautiful and tranquil yet located only 10 minutes from downtown T.C., salons, shopping center and groceries. Close to other attractions for great day trips, including kayaking or climbing the dunes. The cottage itself was clean and cozy. It had everything we needed (except bath towels- you provide your own). There are even racks in the bedrooms for your suit cases. The shower was great! We are making reservations for next year!
