Silver Lake Cottage in Traverse City w/ Private Frontage & Pontoon for rent

JUST REMODELED cottage that has an excellent location on Silver Lake, in Traverse City. It is located on .85 acres with 108 feet of direct frontage. It is a short 10 minute drive to downtown Traverse City. Silver lake is a 600 acre all sports lake. It is one of the nicest inland lakes in Traverse City. The cottage gets sun all day long (but also has areas of shade) and then you are able to watch the sun set. You can walk right out the cottage and walk directly into the water (no stairs to go down or roads to cross).

*** Just renovated!!New Flooring, New Kitchen, New bathroom!

The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It sleeps six, with one queen bed in the main level bedroom, and two full-size beds in the loft bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, it even has a dishwasher. There is a laundry room in the cottage, available for your use. There is a canoe, paddle boat and stand up paddle board available for renters to use at no charge. There is a nice storage shed that has yard games/beach toys. There is a very large fire pit. The cottage comes with Wi-Fi, hulu live cable, 42” smart TV, AC units, games, and plenty of parking space.

We have a 20 foot pontoon boat w/ 50HP available for you to rent:
$295 per day, $650 for 3 days, or $1000 for the entire week (This is cheaper than all rental companies in town) and we just purchased a brand new 22ft Bennington, 115HP with tubing capacity. 1 day= $350, 3days= $850, 1 week= $1650
**** Please inquire about availability for the dates of your travel. The pontoon may not be available even if the cottage is.

Please also note that the dock and pontoons are not going to be out and available until mid May. There is an owner's dock that is occasionally used and then another brand new dock on the opposite side for you to use.

The cottage is in a great location of Traverse City, where you feel like you're up north, but just a 10 minutes drive from downtown Traverse City.

Girls weekend

Great stay with high school friends for the week! House was so cute and had everything we would need. Rented the pontoon for our stay definitely a must have. Very relaxing cozy atmosphere would love to stay again.

Great house / location

My best friend and I stayed for a week for a mom vacation and we had the best time. Lake and beach area were nice and clean. House was perfect with plenty of supplies. We were close to everything which made going out and having adventures easy.

Quiet peaceful waterfront

Just enough space for a quiet stay with gorgeous views. Needed a nice place to have a weekend get away. This was the perfect place.

Amazing Location!

Silver Lake cottage is a fantastic place to stay on your visit to Traverse City. Great location to downtown, amazing lake to be on and plenty of room for our family of 4! We've rented a lot of VRBO's and this one was super accurate to description and one of the best experiences with communication!

Nice little cabin

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was small but had everything that we needed. It was very clean and minimal stairs to the lake. The view looking out the kitchen window was amazing.

Great Cottage

Wonderful cottage. Clean and well maintained. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Kids enjoyed the paddle board and peddle boat. Bonfire pit and backyard was beautiful!

Silver Lake Stay

Our family of five enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was well supplied with outdoor toys and floats which our kids had with. We especially enjoyed the paddle board and paddle boat. Plenty of beach towels were provided. It was a peaceful and private getaway.

A great getaway lakefront cottage

Kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, silverware and cooking pots and pans; bedroom was clean and pretty roomy for a cottage of this size; door code much better than having a key; great view of Silver Lake, and conveniently located near all TC has to offer. Thanks, Lauran and Nick!

Cute cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage! It’s very open spaced , with good beach access ( flat ) . The lake area is nice and calm - great for paddling. Nice fire pit area , and a sun shaded deck for dining and sunset watching . Location is great - It’s a short drive into town . This cottage has everything you would need! (the ceiling to the upstairs is a bit low) Lauran is a great host and very attentive to questions. We would stay here again !

Clean Cozy Cottage

The cottage has a beautiful setting on the lake; it was clean and well stocked with books, games, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. A canoe and paddle board were available for use, at no charge. Pontoon boats are available to rent from the owner at a very reasonable rate. Lauren was just outstanding in responding to our questions and needs.

Everything was very simple..which i like..lol the house was clean..nice set up..and the view is everything! If i had any complaints, it would be the pots and pans are a little out dated..very much used alot..lol but overall stay was wonderful, and i would totally go back!

Nice stay

This was the perfect spot for our family of5. Check in was so easy. A few minor mishaps but the host was very helpful. Silver lake is great I will say the bedding could use some updates. I didn't love that. There were not mattress cover/ pads on the beds but that would be an easy fix! Overall would for sure recommend

Awesome lake cabin

We just loved this cabin! It’s much more spacious on the inside than you imagine. It had every cooking utensil you could need. The water view was great. Definitely rent the pontoon. Tubing is so much fun! The only bummer for those of you with small kids is that the lake is very mucky at this property, so your kids won’t be interested in swimming at the beach.

Awesome place to stay! Lauren was amazing! Rented the pontoon for the day, weather wasn't the greatest that day, dreary and chilly. Rainy the next day. She was nice enough to let us keep it throughout our stay. The third day was sunny and beautiful!! Perfect 💜

Nice place, great location

Family of 5 (kids 12,10,8) enjoyed our stay at Silver Lake. Cottage was as expected. Beds in the loft are for kids as ceiling clearance is a bit low for anyone taller than 5’8”. Lake was quiet and my kids enjoyed tubing and being out on the boat that we brought. As for excursions, TC is literally 15 min away. Bear dunes 40min, Torch Lake 30 min, Mackinaw Island 90 min. We had no issues whatsoever and would come back without hesitation.

Great Cottage Getaway

The cottage was cute, clean, and had just about everything we could ask for! The frontage was nice and flat and the water stayed calm in the cove area. The water was pretty and clear but also very shallow even well past the doc so we would take the boat out to deeper parts of the lake to swim. We were able to rent one of the pontoons for most of our stay which I would highly recommend. There was a paddle boat/boards and a cano free of charge but if you want to get around and see the entire lake you will want something with a motor. But my husband found fishing to be good right off the dock where he caught a few good sized bass.

Lovely property. It suited our needs very well! Tidy and nicely appointed. I would suggest this is really best suited for a small family with kids under 15. The access to the loft has a very low ceiling. I think the shower head needs to be cleaned. The flow is down to a trickle. The main bedroom has a very soft and saggy bed. We enjoyed seeing Eagles and Osprey, just a delightful location
