Just 10 minutes from downtown Traverse City, one of the top destinations in the Midwest, there’s always plenty of summer fun to be found and lots of great places to dine.

Located on Silver Lake in Traverse City, this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage is the perfect setting for a quick get-away or a long relaxing stay. This property resides in an expansive private community setting of 8 homes that share 180-feet of beautiful lake frontage. *Central Air Conditioning! *Comfy new Sealy mattresses.

You'll be close to so many all-season activities:
Wineries, skiing, sledding, biking trails, breweries, fishing, shopping, golf, putt-putt, arcades, children's museum & more...

Silver Lake is an All-Sports Lake,
Great for all-year fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating activities.
Clean, clear spring-fed lake. We even have a water-slide.

There are 2 Docks (bring your own boat or rent) -- the public boat launch is close (the next cove over).
There's a fire pit on the beach that overlooks priceless sunsets,
A shaded gazebo for when you seek shelter from the sun,
A sun patio with loungers,
A deck along the shoreline (we call it the wine deck). Beautiful view of SilverLake.
There’s even a large grass area at the beach for game-playing or just hanging out.

Quiet and peaceful

The home was very clean and tastefully remodeled. The location was in close proximity to Traverse City and restaurants. The area was very quiet and laid back and suited our needs perfectly.

Awesome spot!

The cottage was very clean and the beds comfortable. The beach and lake are very nice as well! We enjoyed swimming and using the fire pit! Close drive to everything in TC.

Memorial day get away

We so enjoyed our short stay! We came for the marathon and a couple days relaxation afterward. The house was great, neighborhood quiet— it fit the bill perfectly. Thank you!

Just as Described!

The home was cozy, had plenty of basics for the stay plus great information on the area as well as board games and the firepit. The sunset over the water was our favorite part!

Beautiful cabin perfect location

Beautiful little cabin, perfect for the 3 of us. Draw backs was the unexpected hot weather for May and no AC. Lake is beautiful and clear. Lots of parking.

Wonderful Silver Lake Cottage

We have rented several different cottages/houses in Traverse City over the past three years and this one was the best. Meticulously clean and well-stocked with kitchenware. Beds were very comfortable and rooms spacious. Great views of Silver Lake and close to downtown TC and restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again. Very well done, Connie and Len! Beautiful area!

The hosts are great the second you book. They reply to questions/concerns almost immediately. The cottage was SUPER clean and very cute. The location is perfect. The beach was wonderful and my two young boys were living their best lives between the water, the sand, the playset, and the gazebo area where they would "Rest". I highly recommend this property!

Relaxation

Beautiful property, well stocked with supplies, the beds were very comfortable and very clean. The shower was lovely. The lake is a few steps away and wonderful to enjoy with cute little toads and fish and clear water. Easy access to Traverse City. Would highly recommend for a couple or a family. All the instructions were clear. We are very likely to use this property again. It was reasonably priced especially for the amenities and access after looking for at other places on vrbo nearby.

Beautiful Cottage

We stayed for first week in July. Cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. Close to shops to get essentials. Close to Traverse City, Glen Arbor, sleeping bear dunes and even took a day trip to Mackinac Island. Kids loved the lake. It was very clean and shallow enough they could play and swim. They really enjoyed the slide in the lake. Lake was never busy and usually had it to our self. Cottage was cozy and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the hammock. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Dry nice but not on the lake

We found that the property was very clean and neat ad a pin. It was very comfortable. It was only about a 10 to 15 minute drive from town, which was really nice. The one big disappointment was that I thought it was going to be on the lake, which, in fact it was about three houses away from the lake. I envisioned the vacation to sit on the porch and gaze out at the water. Of course this didn’t happen. if you’re not expecting a Lakeview, then this is a nice tidy place to stay.

Perfect Little Cottage on Silver Lake

First time visiting the Traverse City area and we picked the perfect cottage for our first mother/daughter trip. The cottage was clean, quiet, and comfortable, but still close enough to downtown Traverse City for shops and restaurants. We had everything we needed for our four night stay. The sandy beach area was exceptional and a great place to watch the sunset after a busy day exploring the area. Loved the cottage so much, I am already thinking about reserving it again for more adventures in Northern Michigan.

Exceeded Expectations!

Property is super cute, clean and cozy. Attention to detail is spot on. Everything you could need the owners have tried to get you covered. All those things that you find you need when you are away from home they had. Really great. Everything was lovely right down to the landscaping. Cozy little lake cabin

Clean, well appointed 2 bedroom lake cabin perfect for visiting the nearby Traverse city downtown area with my spouse and in-laws. Owners are quick to respond & easy to communicate with. We came to tour the wineries and enjoy the beautiful fall colors. We highly recommend Connie & Len’s place!

Don't hesitate to rent here!

The owners have made it very comfortable to stay in their home. From fresh, new towels in the bathroom to comfortable leather sofas in front of a big screen tv with cable, this is a great spot!

After experiencing vacationing at Silver Shores, we jumped at the chance to become owners when one went up for sale. And it just so happened to be the very cottage we would have wanted. We loved the lake, the beach, the cottage layout and everything about it. A dream come true. Our children have grown up at this cottage and we have so many great memories. Now, as our family is growing, we look forward to sharing these good times with our grandchildren.
