Outstanding location for Skiing and town. Host very good with communications. Space wise, very functional property for a family or even 2 families with kids. Top floor could sleep 5 or 6 kids on futons and they would have a ball in the basement rec room. Property could probably use a little freshening up at this point. Overall solid value for the price.

Delightful stay

We had a great girl’s weekend away at this gem hidden in the Windham Mountain area. The house was exactly how it was listed online and Jose was great at explaining how everything worked in the house. We enjoyed the beautiful nature that surrounded the house and would love to return in the future.

Great getaway for the family!

We had such a great time here! The house is comfortable and well stocked with games, toys, books, etc. for the kids (and adults!). Jose was very responsive and helpful. The only negative is that you have to remove your own garbage after your stay and bring it to the dump, only the dump is not open every daydump

Great family getaway

Great house in a convenient location. All amenities that you could ever need for a weekend getaway. I would highly recommend. Jose was very responsive and informative. House was very clean and plenty of family games to keep everyone happy and busy. Great trip

The house was clean and comfortable and Jose was very responsive and helpful. I hate the idea of having to either haul our trash home or take it to the local transfer station, it's very inconvenient when you're on vacation. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, tableware, etc. The beds are comfortable, memory foam, but comfortable. The house is in the woods and pretty secluded, but convenient to town.

Golf Trip

The property is perfect for friends getting together for a long weekend, plenty of sleeping space as well as outdoor space to hang/spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook for large groups and the house is just a stones throw from the town of Windham which made it convenient for us to shuttle between golf courses over several days

Family Labor Day outing

A spacious house, kitchen area, deck area, and playroom downstairs easily held three generations of family and babysitters. Ping pong, fusbol, and card tables kept people entertained indoors while three grandchildren made good use of the tree house. Grilling, a campfire, and bean bag toss outside kept the adults busy too. Much better way to visit Windham than a hotel. We'd definitely come back.

Great Retreat

We had a pretty great stay at this property. What makes this place so great: Location - It feels very isolated, however, it's 15 minutes to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Kitchen - While a little cramped, it has all the items you would want (plenty of pots, pans, bowls, dishes, serving utensils) Bathrooms - When you have a place that sleeps so many people, having an adequate amount of bathrooms is a necessity. The bathrooms were clean and updated. Loft/Gameroom/Living room/ Backyard - These areas were fantastic. Plenty of space to hang out, watch movies, play games. The dining room table easily fits 8. There are additional stools on the island. Beds - Beds are comfortable and plentiful.

Windham Vacation

We had a great family vacation at this rental! We loved the location which is very quiet and private, but close to town. As other reviewers mention, this home is well stocked, especially the kitchen. We would suggest having drink ware available for young children. We would also suggest having a cupboard available for guests’s groceries. It was a bit of a challenge keeping groceries organized for a family of ten. Although the lighting in the loft could be better, it was a hit with both the adults and the grandchildren….everyone wanted quiet time in the loft! 😃 The game room downstairs was also a hit….plenty of toys to keep the kids entertained. We definitely recommend this rental.

Beautiful well stocked rental

We had a gathering of friends to celebrate my sister’s upcoming wedding and had rented a picnic pavilion on Sunday for a big event. A bunch of friends wanted to stay nearby to make a weekend of it and this rental was perfect for us. The WiFi was iffy at times but we were having too much fun for that to matter. This rental has multiple spaces to gather and all our needs were met. Communication with Jose was beyond excellent and I trust that anyone renting this home will be taken care of. Thanks Jose and we will rent again!

Lots of space

There's plenty of room for a good gathering of couples. Wish we could have made better use of the upstairs lounge. All the pots and pans we could have wanted in the kitchen. The fire pit was definitely a nice place to spend an evening.

New Year's Getaway

Our review is mostly positive. I will speak for all of us. We were a large group of 13 (four families of friends).We loved the house! It was a good fit for us. We had everything we needed (linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The kitchen was well stocked as well. The loft and the basement were highlights. It gave our adult children privacy and their own space. The beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable. Nice mattresses! The ski mountain was nearby and so was the town. It was very convenient. If we had questions (which we did), we contacted Jose and he responded right away. We appreciated that. If we had to make any suggestions, they would be minor. Some bedrooms did not have any mirrors in them. That would have been nice to have. Also, the table benches in the kitchen could use padding. We spent a lot of time there (eating, sitting, talking, playing games, etc.) It wasn't very comfortable. The garbage situation was an issue because the dumping area was closed 2 days due to the holiday . We all had to take garbage home. We think that's an area for problem solving. Wonderful family weekend

We found the property close to perfect for our more or less annual Labor Day get-together. Our group came from Brooklyn, Rochester and Buffalo, so the location was very good. There was room to spread out. Everyone had their private quarters and only minimal sharing of bathrooms was involved. The kitchen was well-equipped and roomy, thought a bit tight in sports. We enjoyed the fire pit and the game room. There was plenty for us to do in the area for a few days. We would happily recommend it to anyone seeking a similar break.

Probably worst VRBO rental

A huge disappointment for our family celebration. 1. Host was unavailable even when VRBO customer service tried. 2. Downstairs smelled of bad mold, a condition host likely knew of since his maids had a bucket to catch the drippong water from the ceiling which had water stains. 3. Internet was terrible - no one could connect an android, host gave us his personal code, worked for a day then not. Apple devices were better but spotty and couldn't make phone calls. 4. His gardeners shook us awake at 7am with the loudest tractor, refused to stop mowing till we insisted. Woke the whole house up. Who wants that noise on vacation? 5. Had to put the garbage in our car and drive it several miles to a dump, as instructed. Dump was closed, a fact host knew of. He told us to drop it at a gas station. Great, until the attendant yelled at me. 6. Bbq was filthy and did not work despite many attempts with the propane. 7. Host said he'd refund our money but ots been almost 2 weeks and he has not responded by phone, text, or email...but he took time to rate us online. Plenty of better alternatives in the Catskills. This guy is not to be trusted.

We have over 30 completed rentals this year on several sites with nothing but positive feedback and compliments but these people are the bad apples of the bunch. Homeowners beware and save yourself the trouble. These are the kind of people you DON’T want in your home. They found everything to complain about during their 3 day stay at our home. It’s apparent this is their style only to request a full refund or credit card chargeback as they immediately did after they left. This is very shameful! I was very respectful and attentive to all their issues but every time I gave them a solution they would complain about something else. The wife is rude, entitled and very condescending. She harassed my gardeners and me on the phone as well. I even allowed them to overstay after their check out time for free, yet they didn’t appreciate it. They started complaining about the internet so I had to give them the master password. Yet that wasn’t good enough. Everyone in their group with iphones connected without problems, but they had issues with android. Windham has no trash pickup, therefore everyone takes out their own as stated in the instructions. That was a problem for them also. One of our bathrooms had an old water stain on the ceiling tile and below it happens to be the vanity and the small waste basket on the floor, Well they fabricated that we had a leak and the stain was moldy. They complained about not finding a garbage bag in the house yet the closet is fully stocked with 3 boxes of bags and paper goods. They complained about the BBQ and they even complained about My gardeners coming to cut the grass. Then after checkout they send me a threatening message, basically asking for a refund or They would leave bad reviews and chargeback. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.
