This historical Inn is just minutes from the Windham Ski area, as well as 2 professional golf courses, a vineyard, numerous state hiking trails and much more. This beautiful estate has 9+ bedrooms, 10.5 baths, a home office, large family gathering space, a large dining area, rec. room and living areas. Just 2.5 hours from the metropolitan area makes this an easy weekend commute. Come and see everything this beautiful house has to offer!
This West Windham House has a brand new wrap around porch with roof. As well as a gas and charcoal grill for your family to enjoy. There is a new stainless steel refrigerator, six burner professional stove, Verizon Fios Internet, pool table, wood burning fireplace & washer & dryer in the home as well.
Spacious covered front porch is complete with outdoor lighting, fan and plenty of seating, table and bar allow for comfortable outdoor gatherings, season to season. Providing an amazing view of the neighboring mountain tops.
Multiple top-quality restaurants to choose from, movie theatre, mini golf, seasonal snow tubing, ski/snowboard your choice of three local mountains (Windham, Hunter and Belleyre) cyclist, golfers, hikers, bird watchers, nature enthusiast, explorers, mountain folk, musicians and music lovers will be at peace on Windhams' top Lodge, "A'Neils".

Kind host, clear communication! House was great, lots of fun games and spaces to hang out. The hot water did run out fairly quickly, but that is our only area of improvement. Overall, we had a really good experience and would recommend to others.

Rented this VRBO for a family wedding which was in Roxbury about 1/2 hour away. We were a group of 21 and the space was absolutely perfect for us with plenty of space to spare! The house was super clean and. had everything we needed, there was extra toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, spices, olive oil just to name a few. There was plenty of room for us to gather but as usual everyone ends up in the kitchen! The first night we all gathered around the indoor fireplace in the living room for cozy conversation and the second night after the wedding we ended up cramming into the kitchen talking and laughing with a group playing pool in the room next door. Our morning coffee was spent on the beautiful front covered porch. We discussed coming back for our family reunion, the location was perfect, about 2 miles from town with plenty of restaurants and shops. The Windham Path was just past town and we dragged our group out for daily walks on the lovely gravel walkway. I would highly recommend this VRBO, the beds were super comfy with sound proof walls and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for a large group. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!

Very bad and quite disappointing!

Lack of basic amenities (no extra toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap). Condition of the property (staple nails sticking out of the floor, broken furniture, no heat in one of the bedrooms).Lack of cleanliness (bugs/spiders, webs, dust).

Perfect for a ski family gathering

A wonderful space for a family reunion ski get away. Enough personal space for each while also offering great shared space for warm gatherings and meals. Host was very accommodating and easily available. We would definitely stay again!

Great place for a family gathering

The house had plenty of room for a large group, ample seating in the living room and dining room, well stocked kitchen and spacious grounds. The beautiful mountain location was easy to get to and there were plenty of restaurants/food options in the quaint village. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Family Reunion

Beautiful historic house in Windham NY, great for large gatherings. Plenty of bedrooms with multiple beds and private baths. Spacious common area to relax at the end of the day. Large dining room that will accommodate all your guests and a large well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve. Relax on the covered front porch and enjoy nature or challenge your guests in a game of pool. The house was very clean on arrival with easy check in access. All in all it’s a great place for next large gathering!!!

Great porch!

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. There were about 20 of us and we all had beds and AC units in the bedrooms. We really loved the porch. It's an old house, but it had everything we needed, and when we had an issue with the oven, the owner was very responsive and sent someone over to help right away. The one downside to the property was that it was up a steep hill from, but very close to, a main road. There wasn't much traffic but people go very fast. I was nervous for my dog being so close. Overall, a good stay!

Wonderful for family reunion

My family (18 adults, 6 children, 3 dogs) had a wonderful stay. Plenty of common area space, lovely covered porch, large dining area for all of us, and everyone had their own personal space as well. Great kitchen and well-stocked. Owner met us at check-in and was responsive. Lots of local things to do, especially hiking.

Amazing property and location

My group of coworkers had an incredible weekend ski/snowboard retreat for the second year in a row at this property. Annie was a great host; very responsive and always helpful. The house is huge and well equipped, making it very accommodating for large groups. It is also down the block from Windham and a quick drive to Hunter, making it a prime location for skiing/snowboarding. Definitely recommend!

Mountain Gem!

A'Neil's was the perfect house for our early Thanksgiving! All 25 of us had proper beds (with room to spare) and there were 10 bathrooms. The well-stocked kitchen has a commercial-grade stove and plenty of food prep area. There was lots of lounging space, a woodstove in the living room (which we used when it got chilly), two porches, a firepit (we enjoyed that, too), pool table (a big hit!) and a dining room with large tables and plenty of chairs. The owners were helpful and answered all our (many) questions, as we were all traveling from various states/places. The house is charming! All the bedrooms are upstairs. Plenty of bed linens. Bring your own towels. Could use a few minor updates. Very clean! Our WHOLE group enjoyed their stay. We will return and hope to stay longer next time! Thanks for a relaxing reunion!

A wonderful place for a family get-together!

We hosted a group of 15 for a combination wedding-anniversary-4th-of-July reunion and A-Neils was perfect! The house had everything we needed. Heads up to bring towels, everything else is supplied, and all of the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor which worked out OK for us. One set of steps is steeper than the other. We had a fantastic time!

Perfect co-worker getaway!

This was the perfect property for our co-worker getaway weekend. Super close to Windham and Hunter mountains, very large common space, and plenty of private bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 22. Kitchen is fully stocked! Owners were very responsive and helpful throughout our trip.

Amazing property

We (group of thirty) had an amazing time at this large property. It is very close to Windham Mountain so this is perfect for what we wanted. My only reccomandation is to add more room and bed details to the online listing.

Great winter stay

We really had great time during our Christmas holiday at this beautiful place. The property is very well managed by the owner and were very helpful during our stay. It’s close to all the activities in the Windham mountain. I would highly recommend this place for any family gatherings all season.

Nice property for large group

The property fit large group with a lot of space. The cons are the area is hard to get cellular signal and the rooms are a little bit cold as the heater don't reach too much. Overall it is a pleasant stay and close to the skiing area .

Christmas Family Get Together

My family (14 adults, 3 kids, 3 dogs, one infant, and a partridge in a pear tree) all gathered at this property to celebrate Christmas together. There was more than enough room for everyone, with most bedrooms having their own bathrooms, too. The house was a clean upon arrival and the owners ask very little in terms of tidying up when it was time to check out. The stove in the kitchen is restaurant-grade and made cooking for a large group a breeze. The property owner and manager were very responsive to any questions and our stay went without a hitch! The house is so close to Windham for skiing and tubing and we went on a beautiful hike, as well. We went out to dinner one night at Chicken Run which was very family-friendly and had room for our large party. The whole stay was seamless and if you’re looking for a place that your family can relax and spend quality time together, this is perfect!

Great for family gathering!

We had a great stay here! Plenty of room for 20 of us inside and a great firepit with wood outside! We hiked at one of the many hiking spots nearby and stopped on our way back to the house at one of the many restaurants in the quaint nearby towns.

Family Memories

We stayed at the Aneils home labor day weekend. It was truly an enjoyable time. The home was big enough for the 19 of us. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom which was great. The kids and adults enjoyed all the activities with the pool table being a big hit. The kitchen and dining room were large enough for all us to enjoy meals and an evening game. it was a wonderful time. Thank you for opening up this incredible home to us. We appreciate it.

Family Reunion

This property was perfect for our large family reunion. We had 12 overnight guests on Friday and 17 on Saturday night and all were very-well accommodated. The reunion on Saturday had 35 attendees and the Windham House had plenty of room for everyone, both inside and out. The fire pit was used both nights, too. Our hosts were great and communication with them was super easy. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-appointed. It was a rather hot weekend, so the covered deck was nice to have. I would highly recommend this property and it may become our new annual reunion destination.

Wonderful weekend with college friends

I coordinated a college reunion with 6 families. I was thankful for the individual rooms/bathrooms that each family was able to have. This was a lovely property with a large kitchen, gathering spaces and ample outdoor space for people to hang out. The owner was very responsive to all messages and was helpful in troubleshooting some issues that arose. My group enjoyed having S'mores around the fire pit at night and playing games in the living room/ dining room. I would recommend this place to others, you will have a great time!
