We’re excited to host you at Pajaro Dunes Resort, a gated beachfront community where the rhythm of the ocean sets the pace for your stay. Shorebirds 121 is a premium one-bedroom, one-bath condominium designed for a relaxing coastal escape for two. Located on the second level of Building D, this inviting retreat offers ocean views and a peaceful setting that’s perfect for slowing down and reconnecting. The bedroom features a California King bed with an extra-firm mattress, ideal for guests who appreciate exceptional comfort after a day by the sea.

Inside, you’ll find a cozy electric fireplace, a Smart TV with cable in the bedroom, and thoughtful touches throughout that make the space feel welcoming and well cared for. Mornings are easy and indulgent with a Nespresso coffee and espresso machine (pods provided), along with a traditional coffee maker. The condo also includes updated window coverings, a 1-lb propane BBQ for casual outdoor meals, and modern conveniences like an Echo Dot in the kitchen. Just steps from beach access and close enough to hear the waves, Shorebirds 121 is a charming hideaway—perfect for couples seeking ocean views, quiet moments, and effortless beach living.

Enjoy our condo with resort amenities and guest services to help with anything that may come up during your stay. With housekeeping & maintenance on site, we're here 7 days a week. A Gift Shop on site with souvenirs, beer and wine, groceries and more! We also have sports equipment for our guest to borrow. Spend family fun playing Pickle Ball, tennis or basketball with courts located on site. Our attentive resort staff is available on site 7 days a week from 9-5.

The place was wonderful except for the bed. It was very uncomfortable, so that my husband and I had to buy a bed topper just to be able to enjoy the whole week.

Had a great time...

Unit was very clean and looked exactly as advertised. Had all appliances and extras... blender, coffee makers and dishes. Was steps from the beach and still very private. Was centrally located from all the places we wanted to visit. I would definitely recommend this for a couple.

Much needed

We loved our stay. Being right next to the beach was such a treat. We had the slider open so we could hear the ocean all night. Day trips to the local Mexican ice cream shop and Capitola were wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Lovely lovely location. Very private. The view spans from Monterey to Santa Cruz facing west with the setting sun performing every night. The condo is furnished quite comfortably although an ottoman would be appreciated! Thank you for sharing!

This was a dream vacation. There wasn’t a single part of it that wasn’t perfect. From the staff that not only went out of their way to accommodate some of my allergy needs, but they checked back about it over and over to make sure I would be completely comfortable in every way. We were steps away from the beach and when we weren’t on the beach we were on the balcony that was the perfect spot to watch the waves and toast the sunsets. The staff obviously loves working there as their attitudes couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, sincerely wanting us to have the easiest, most comfortable time. There was great shopping and restaurants nearby, several golf courses to choose from and we were very close to great beach cities to visit such as Aptos, Santa Cruz and Capitola. I’ve been coming to Pajaro Dunes all my life, it’s always been the place where the greatest of memories are made. It’s magical.

Beautiful Condo with Great a View

This was an enjoyable and clean place to stay. This was a perfect place to celebrated our 29th anniversary. It was quiet, peaceful and the view were perfect. The only thing I would change is the addition of a Keurig. That didn’t make or break the experience but it would have been nice to have.

Great unit. Comfortable bed and furniture.

Great one bedroom unit. Just need to improve four things and the unit would be excellent. Check in girls bordered on rude. I owned a property at Pajaro Dunes for twenty six years and rented the unit most of the year. It’s important to make your guest feel comfortable and at home. This unit was almost excellent. I will definitely stay in this unit again. The agency had my belongings carry to my unit for no charge. That was great especially as we get older.

The property was beautiful both inside and out. The landscaping and walkways were beautiful and easy to maneuver with my mobility issues. Access to and from the beach was a bit if a challenge with my mobility issues due to no stairs directly to the beach, however that was easy to work around with access to the stairs in the units on either side. The balcony view was spectacular. The balcony itself was in amazingly good shape. We discovered an olive oil shop on Cannery Row which complimented the fresh loaves of bred we found at Melo on Main Street in Watsonville. The building is well insulated. We never heard any of the surrounding neighbors. The interior decor of the unit is very tasteful and lends to the relaxing atmosphere. We hope to visit again next year and many years to come. All in all, our stay was memorable and restful.

Nice condo/resort, so-so location, bad ocean odor

The condo and resort property was very nice, well-kept, and clean. Our condo was on the second floor, right on the beach. So we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. But there was one issue that ruined the experience, and that was a very odd, unpleasant odor that would waft in off the ocean and inside the condo (even with doors/windows closed). It was inescapable. We asked around about it and we were told it could have been help, algae, microscopice organisms that were churned up to the surface. So even though this issue wasn't the fault of the resort, it did negatively impact our experience. It prevented us from enjoying the beach and the condo balcony the way we wanted to.. To get to the nearby town of Watsonville you have to take a horrible pot-hole-filled road. The town itself is old and doesn't offer a big variety of restaurants - mostly fast-foot or diners - nor any little shops. But you can get groceries and cook in your condo. To find any kind of "finer" dining, you'll need to drive a ways south to Monterey or north toward Santa Cruz, or further inland. We did drive inland to a beautiful little town called Morgan Hill. I highly recommend that town for dining, and the interesting drive over the mountain to get there..

Hello Cindy, Thank you for your insightful review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the condo and location of our resort. Unfortunately, the odor from the outside was out of our control and we are sorry to hear that it had an impact on your overall experience. The road down to the resort is worked on but as agriculture trucks pass by it is something that needs maintenance constantly and we reach out to the county to get it maintained. In the packet you receive there is a list of restaurants as Watsonville offers more homey style restaurants but are happy to hear that you were able to explore other towns on all sides of our resort. You can't beat the view from this property

My husband and I celebrated his birthday here, staying 6 nights. The property is comfortable, and perfect for a couple. We cooked three nights, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. This unit has no DVD player, but the office will provide one for free.
