Nalu Bliss- Amazing 2BR Waterfront Location on Alii Dr Close to Town and Beaches

Updated 2 BR 2nd floor Condo in small 16 unit development overlooking the pacific with amazing sunset views!! We purchased the condo in June, and it was a very active VRBO with a 4.8 rating and more than 40 reviews!! We have made a number of upgrades since purchasing the property and it's even better than before! Truly one of the best locations on the Big Island. Short walk to Magic Sands beach, and very close to town, restaurants, shops and all amenities. Reserved garage space with additional off street parking. This is truly the best of the best in Kona waterfront living.

Sunsets are magnificent from the balcony looking out to the ocean literally just 30 ft away and the pool is along the ocean and generally very uncrowded as there are only 16 units in the complex. Whales can be seen right from the balcony starting in December until March or April. King bed in the master, and two twins that can be converted to king as well prior to arrival.

Deep cleaning performed after every visit, with special emphasis on disinfecting all areas with alcohol during the pandemic. Bookings from 15-28 days during high season subject to 60/30 day cancellation policy.

Absolutely loved our stay at Nalu Bliss! We spent almost all our time on the amazing lanai watching spinner dolphins, whales, and the changing ocean colors while being lulled by the surf into total relaxation. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy bed - we'd stay again for sure.

We arrived at Nalu Bliss just in time for the big Kona low storm. It was the perfect place to watch the storm roll in with huge waves! Communication with the owners was excellent! They helped us with information about road conditions and even let us arrive early before the storm hit. Nalu Bliss is a lovely property with everything you will need for a relaxing stay. Great parking on the property and a nice little farm stand with fruit, vegetables and flowers is very close by. We chose to use ceiling fans instead of air conditioning and we were very comfortable. We loved our stay at Nalu Bliss!

Place looked exactly like the pictures. The view from the lanai is stunning! Very comfortable and large bedrooms, excellent bathroom showers, easy parking (for one vehicle), and a quiet pool - everything about this place was amazing! Walking distance to a great poke place, farmer’s market, fruit stand, and coffee. This place will be my #1 choice when returning to Kona.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right on the ocean and very close to town. The sunsets are incredible! The condo is quiet, comfortable and well appointed. We also appreciated the recommendations for beaches, restaurants, etc. We hope to visit again in the future.

The perfect place for our family of 3 during our Hawaiian vacation. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and where we spent most of our time. Everything we needed was there and the location was perfect for us - close to everything but far enough away to offer peace and quiet. Check in/out was very easy and the hosts answered all of our questions before and during our stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Location cannot be beat!! Lanai is huge and basically an extended living room with waves 20’ below. It was so comfortable my sister and I couldn’t think of a better place to have our own dinner each evening. There were a few hiccups but the owner and property manager could not have been more quick to respond. A great condo to stay.

Truly Amazing Stay

My wife, two boys (14, 11) stayed for a week, the property is incredible, fantastic location, very comfortable and highly recommended given we have been to various Hawaiian islands.

The accommodations were absolutely phenomenal! We spent a lot of time on the lanai. Especially love the recliners. That said, the interior was wonderful as well. Love that it had a mini split AC in the living room. The king bed was super comfortable. And the beach towels and chairs came in handy. We tried a couple of the restaurants and went to some of the markets in the guest book, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay here again, if we are lucky enough to return to the Big Island.

I was not informed that the condo was located 50 feet from a 3 way stop sign. The locals love to modify their exaust system to create a loud roar and/or turn up their radios up full blast with all the windows down 24 hours a day.

We are sorry the road noise was an issue. In general it’s impossible to hear any road noise from the master bedroom as the ocean noise overwhelms everything and it is farthest from the entrance. In addition, there is a 10 ft high wall between the road and building which many condos do not have. It is possible to hear occasional road noise from the second bedroom or kitchen as they are on the road side. However, there is almost zero traffic after 8p and before 8a so the statement that there is significant road noise 24/7 is not accurate. That being said, if you want to stay on a property along the water south of Kona on Alii Drive - every single property on the water for that 5 mile stretch is within 50 ft or less of the road - and this location is better than many because of the high lava wall. Lastly, we had to make a damage claim with VRBO insurance, as the controllers for the fans were missing and it was only after we made the claim that this review was posted. We had no complaint from the visitor regarding this issue during the entire two week stay. So we hope it’s not some sort of reprisal for making the insurance claim as the renter was not charged for this.
