Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less, then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the one of six different homes we have rented on the island. This was our third time renting this home. It is the best all-around home of the six. I literally have no complaints. if i had to name one negative, the upstairs bed mattress is very hard. This place is great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was wonderful, as usual. We have been going there for many years. Sadly we may not be going much longer. 4 of the sleeping areas are upstairs and there isn’t a handrail. The steps are steep and wooden. Very slippery. It was ok when we were younger but dangerous now. Otherwise no other complaints.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, we absolutely love this house and had a magnificent experience on the Island this year. However, the house has some issues: The back door locks need to be replaced - the door knob lock does not work at all. The living room TV MUST be upgraded to a SMART TV (which is one that connects to the internet and allows use of streaming services), period, this is a disqualifier for us as we had to move the TV from the master bedroom on the first floor. The king mattress in the master bedroom is past due, please replace. The water was shut off for non-payment while we were there - undue stress while on vacation - this could have been a disaster had it not been caught before 3pm. BTW - there are no house numbers on the house (just an observation) but deliveries still get done. Thanks so much!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great. but . . . please ensure the TV remote has batteries. Please note the railing on the back steps is dangerous and should be fixed asap. Also, these days its standard to be able to log into a streaming service on a personal device and cast it to a TV - it would be awesome if the TV in this house would allow that. Otherwise the stay was great. Thank you.

Lots of odds and ends stocked for easy living. 3 doors from main grocery and short walk to shops and restaurants. Floors could have been a little cleaner (feet were dirty after walking around bare foot for a short time). Nothing was mentioned on Vrbo or the harbor contract that linens and towels were not provided, so that was a shock upon arrival (and a panic with 3 young children with me). Made a call to harbor and someone called back within an hour or two and brought over linens and towels for rent.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented for a number of years from Harbour Rentals and always pleased. We have done several locations from the rental company. Everything has been nice and well to work with each one. I have only one problem and this could be an misunderstanding when I called to say I would not be picking up the key and not coming down, but Pam Compton would be doing that. I also mentioned when she brought the key back she would let you know if they wanted it next year, but it did not work out like that My understanding is when she said she wanted it She was told been rented by someone else. My understanding you did book another place for her. I was really disappointed when she got and told me. Although now through the years it has been really nice during business with the rental company.Peggy Y Goff

A quiet street, yet we were right next to the super market, a great fish market and restaurants. House was comfortable for two families of 4+ 3. Big lawn, kids enjoyed playing soccer. Due to weird weather we needed both, first AC and then heating; both worked great on both floors. Would definitely rent this house again.

Reviewer Comments: As always, we had an almost great month, with the exception of 6 doctors visits while I was there (they had nothing to do with the location). We went fishng, wildlife watching, and baby pony watching, along with connecting with some old friends on the island.

Wonderful Stay at Poppy’s House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is roomy, well furnished, clean and comfortable. The location is very handy, right next to a supermarket for home cooking. Beds are comfortable and the pull out coach is in a dark and quiet spot upstairs, not in the living room, which is a plus. There is no outside seating area or patio and no grill. I’d love to see the cooking pa a updated as they are old scratched teflon. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing.

Nice home for relaxing holiday near the sea

This is a very nice holiday home close to the town center and harbor of Chincoteague, and on a 20 min bike ride of Assateague Island. It is a large house, has a well-stocked kitchen, a very nice sunroom near the entrance and three comfortable bedrooms (two on the ground floor and one on the first floor). A grocery store is just around the corner. Check-in was straightforward and managed by the property manager. A confusion during the booking process was promptly resolved by the property manager and the owners.
