Enjoy the open layout and natural light that flows throughout the space while wildlife and deer scamper by in the backyard. After a full day of skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking, the best way to relax will definitely be a long soak in the shared hot tub as the sun dips behind the treetops. Not to mention, the full kitchen can be the hub for reminiscing as the chef of the group cooks up a special recipe to curb appetites. Come summer, the gas grill can be just the ticket for a cookout in the fresh air!

WHAT'S NEARBY
Sitting within walking distance of everything McCall has to offer, you won't need to venture far to fill your days with fun. A lake day is a half-mile away, so boating, swimming, fishing, and more are all right at your fingertips. When you need to take a break and grab a bite to eat, there are unlimited options that will not disappoint such as My Fathers Place, McCall Brewing Company, and Ice Cream Alley for a sweet treat. If there are a few skiers in the group, they will be glad to know that Brundage Mountain is just 10 miles north for some fresh powder and mountain fun.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

It was okay

The house was nice however I did not read the reviews before I booked. It is a duplex type situation and is right off the main road. The biggest reason for the 3 stars is the heating situation. The house only warmed up 2 degrees the entire 2 days we were there. The thermostat would randomly shut off and it was down right cold the first night and didn't change much the whole visit. The hot tub was the main reason I decide to go with this rental but even it was lacking. It definitely needs some chlorine or a cleaning because it has a smell and you smell like that smell when you get out of it. If the heat and hot tub issues were fixed this would definitely be more worth the money.

Accuracy and safety is an issue

Overall nice place. It should be advertised as an attached duplex property. The other side has access to the shared garage which then had access to a side inside door. We did not have a way to lock the door from the inside at all. Also, we found trash under one of the beds. The window sills were dirty and the info on the fridge was different that the customer serivice line. The VRBO description and instructions did not match. Also many of the added taxes had no explanation of what they were as well as better detailed cleaning directions other than take out trash. The bottom key holder did not work so we made due with one key. Hot tub had grass in it and had too much cholrine in it. Overall OK stay but I think I would not had stayed if I had known about the duplex connection and the lack of safety of that door.

Overall good stay

Property was great and we liked the space and the fully stocked kitchen. House was sparkling clean. All the living room furniture downstairs and mattresses could get changed out as they’re very worn. Really small things could use fixing, like oiling the squeaky hinge on one of the upstairs bedroom doors, fixing the screen door and lock of the sliding glass door. Couldn’t figure out how to turn on the overhead fans. The WiFi password didn’t work so we reset the router. The biggest complaint I have is that the hot tub was advertised as private. It is not. The other tenants of this property have access to the hot tub and it was a bit of a surprise being walked in on unexpectedly. Everything being said, we are fairly picky travelers now having a small baby. So if you’re pretty laid back like I was pre-baby then I 100% recommend staying here.

Perfect Quiet Location

We loved our stay here. The house was so beautiful and clean. It was close to everything. We walked to play disc golf, walked downtown, and went across the street to Frenchies and ordered to go. The hot tub was so great to use each night to relax. I was so happy with our stay and would for sure stay here again!!

Overall, a nice stay but shared hot tub wasn't a winner for us

Overall we had a nice stay. We enjoyed the location and layout of this home. It worked well for our family of 4, visiting for my daughter's birthday. Things we enjoyed: -Walking distance to town -Washer/dryer for use -Pretty well stocked kitchen (We do all of our cooking in.) -Availability of outdoor fire pit, patio, and grill -Overall pretty clean upon arrival (We had one issue which I addressed in a private message to management.) -Our girls enjoyed running around the in small amount of woods outside and seeing deer and chipmunks. -Many basic needs were provided...laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, etc. Some things that weren't the best for us: -The wifi didn't work during our visit. -The ice maker in the freezer didn't work so we needed to purchase bagged ice....putting some ice cube trays in the kitchen so they are available to use would be a simple remedy. -The grill didn't work well. We think it was simply perhaps due to low propane. -The "shared" hot tub really threw us off. I either didn't notice this when I booked or the listing changed because I wouldn't have booked with this description. I guess the issue is that we didn't know who we were "sharing" the hot tub right outside the door of the downstairs bathroom and bedroom with....it appeared nobody was staying in another unit that is attached to this property, though we assumed it was an owner unit since there are cars in the shared garage (another thing that could be better explained to those renting...that also surprised us.) As there appeared to be no one in that unit, we didn't assume anyone would be using the hot tub, but a car appeared each night and then a person got into the hot tub for a short time and left. It is just kind of unsettling to not know at any given time if another person is out there, and who that person is. If you are to continue with the shared hot tub, I think an explanation of who else you are sharing with is warranted...it is another renter in the other unit, the owners in the other unit, friends from down the road, or whoever happens upon it that wants to use it? It's kind of strange as it stands. I would prefer it not be shared, but if it is, I think renters need a better explanation of how it is shared. Great house! Great location!

This house was perfect for our family of 8 to converge in McCall to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. I was concerned that there was no AC, but the house stayed cool with all of the trees shading it, and the ceiling fans circulating the air (the extra window fans we brought, helped too!). The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with dishes and amenities that we didn't feel lacking in anything. Plenty of seating for everyone, as well. We were an easy walk to town and the beach for shopping, dining, and swimming. The garage smelled of gasoline, but as long as the door stayed shut, we didn't smell it. There is an additional rental space on the property, which wasn't a problem for privacy or parking. The party that rented it Saturday night, was a little noisy when they returned late (midnight or so?), but we didn't hear them once they were indoors. Our biggest problem was cycling 8 people through two bathrooms. We knew this when we rented it, so we were conscientious about getting in and out quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice location

The location is solid, right behind the Scandia which means (nearly) everything is walking distance. Cleanliness wasn’t great, there isn’t wifi, but we enjoyed the hot tub.

Amazing location perfect for families

Went to McCall for spring break with my two kids. This house is super clean and a perfect location close to town and all the fun things to do in McCall. Would love to stay again when warmer to use the lake. Thanks for letting us stay it was so much fun!

Peaceful cabin

We loved our stay in this beautiful, peaceful cabin! There was plenty of room for our family to stretch out and relax and daily visits from the deer were so entertaining. The hot tub was especially nice to relax in and watch the deer! The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. It was close to restaurants, downtown shopping, the lake, state park and ski resort. We can wait to stay here again!
