Few km from the center of Grand Baie, Pereybere moults in the north of the small town into a center for those who are Grand Baie is already too touristy. Small shops and galleries, several nice restaurants, bars and hotels have settled along the coastal road and transform the once small fishing village in a picturesque resort. From here you can explore the whole island! In a few minutes you are at the bus stop or on the beach of Pereybere. In its immediate vicinity there are shops, restaurants and a large supermarket.

Could have been so much more

The overall rating is 3 stars, on account of the outstanding location to one of the island's nicest beach areas and exemplary service from the host who is simply outstanding. However the small details added up and so many of them were missing that it dropped to a 3. Had these been there, it would have been a 4 rating for sure, but it will never achieve 5 star status until there is air con in the main living room area. During the Mauritian summer it was dangerously hot in the TV/dining/kitchen areas and with children that is unacceptable. Small items fix to make it a 4 star: Provide clean bed linen, we had to wash them again when we arrived Ensure the pool is cleaned prior to arrival and the pump is left on at all times to ensure dirt is pumped out and doesn't settle at the bottom of the pool Fix the toilet seat that was broken Provide beach items (mats, chairs, etc.), we bought some and left them there for the next guest Provide better kitchen utensils, they all need replacing as they are so old and rusting No indoor dryer or clothes rack provided, nor any laundry detergent No toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, hand soap, etc.). We bought some and left them for the next guests. Provide a hair dryer Light bulbs weren't all functioning and missing in some places Kitchen appliances were old and dirty (oven and microwave) Cleaners didn't remove the rotten fruit in he fruit bowl and the place needed a second clean on arrival No trash bags provided, we bought some and left them for the next guests Bigger trash can needed in the kitchen Provide sufficient bath and beach towels for max occupancy, only three provided for 6 people. All small things which are easily fixed and would make this a 4 rating, but the lack of air con will prevent this from a being a 5.

Dear Nicole, Thanks a lot for taking the time to rate our guest house. It was a pleasure having you here. It is true we are very lucky with our location, close to one of the nicest beaches in the North of Mauritius. I would have appreciated a message or call from you while you were here about the small details you have mentioned were missing. I would have done my best to solve any issues you might have had if only you had mentioned them while you were in-house. Obviously, your main issue about the aircon in the living room, we could not have solved, but we are also not advertising a fully air-conditioned house. It clearly says all the bedrooms are having aircon. Since Mauritius is known for its open and outdoor living with beautiful weather all year around, not many people have mentioned the need for air-conditioning in the living room as well and we do have a ceiling fan there but now that you’ve mentioned it, I will make a note of it. Regarding some of your other issues, being German myself, cleanliness is very important to me too and so far we have not had any complaints about this. I was there for the check in with you and everything was freshly cleaned. We provide beach towels and bathroom towels for max. 6 guests (2 sets each) which are in the laundry closet for all our guests to use. No beach chairs unfortunately but I’ll look into that too. Our cleaner, who comes usually twice a week would not touch anything of our guests, food included, without being asked to do so and light bulbs getting fused, etc. I would only know about after you left or if you told me about it while you were in the house. Anyway, I hope you still enjoyed your stay in Mauritius, visiting all your family on the island and I look forward to welcoming you back some time. Thank you very much for your feedback. Bon séjour

Hôte très sympathique et à l'écoute. très réactive à apporter une solution aux les petits problèmes rencontrés. un petit bémol sur le ménage et la vétusté des outils de nettoyage mis à notre disposition. Cuisine équipée, mais pas de lave vaisselle. Très bon séjour néanmoins. Merci Bianca

Villa très bien située, charmante avec piscine, nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Bianca,.

Bianca notre Hôte et propriétaire nous a accueillis formidablement bien,. Le soir de notre arrivée, comme nous n'avions pas de voiture, elle nous a accompagnés faire des courses très spontanément et très gentiment. Elle a répondu à chacune de nos questions. Nous sommes allés dans le Sud avec taxi guide à la journée jusqu'à Chamarel, et avons remonté la côte ouest avec arrêt pour bain. Une autre journée avons fait du catamaran jusqu'à l'île aux cerfs. Avons mangé tous les jours au resto moins chers qu'en France.... Avons profité pleinement de nos vacances, Merci encore à Bianca pour sa gentillesse et disponibilité, Rose et R...

Hervorragende Unterkunft

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Biancas Ferienhaus sehr genossen!!! Alle Angaben und Fotos entsprachen der Realität und unseren Erwartungen. Die Kinder waren vor allem vom Pool begeistert, der auch wöchentlich gereinigt wurde. Absolut großartig war der Empfang. Bianca hat uns nicht nur alle Infos zum Gaus gegeben, sie ist auch gleich noch mit uns zum nächsten Supermarkt gefahren, so dass wir unsere ersten Einkäufe bequem erledigen konnten. Strand, Supermarkt und Bushaltestellen sind fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Umfeld ist herrlich ruhig. Besonders hilfreich war, dass wir Bianca jederzeit kontaktieren konnten uns sie uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Wir können die Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!!!

A good base to see the island with all the home comforts.

We were met by Bianca a very nice German lady and shown round the property. We were amazed over the size of the house and the level of quality on the furnishings. There is a very nice covered terrace by the side of a private pool with tables chairs and sunbeds. There are large beds in each of the bedrooms which are very comfortable. The house is within 10 minutes of the beaches of Grand Baie and several good restaurants. The house is situated in a quiet area and is well protected and felt safe. Bianca is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions very quickly, nothing was too much trouble. Within 10 minutes is a large Supermarket with very good wine selection and everything you need to self cater, fresh meat fish vegetables. The air conditioning and WiFi work very well. Bianca will arrange taxis if you wish to be taken out for dinner and do not want to drive. We had no complaints about the property or the host and would recommend the place for adults as well as children.

Parfait

Un accueil chaleureux par Bianca, une belle maison spacieuse et très sécurisée. Une petite balade de 5-10 minutes pour aller sur l'une des plus belles plages de l’île. La piscine est agréable pour se rafraîchir. La maison est propre et bien entretenue. Toutes les infos nécessaires sur les activités, les transports, les restaurants etc. sont à disposition dans la maison. Il n'y a rien à dire. Bianca est disponible à tout moment pour tout renseignement. Je recommande vivement la location de cette maison pour passer des vacances paisibles.

Modern house, close to the beach and restaurants.

Excellent location, 3 bed, 3 bath, full kitchen, laundry, pool, plenty of space, excellent furniture. Just 10 minute walk to one of the nicest beach of the island, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Close enough without the noise. We ran out of gas and hot water but the owner was quick to try to get things sorted out. The owner was very accommodating and helpful, guiding us to the local gym, supermarket, bank... Locating the house on the first day was a bit tricky as the Mauritius address system is non existent. After circling for a bit, the owner ended up meeting us and guiding us back to their house. Best bakery & pastry shop is Pain & Moulin on the way back to Grand Baie. www.pains-moulins.restaurant.mu

jederzeit gerne wieder !

Wir waren bisher immer in verschiedenen Clubhotels - deshalb war dieses einmal ein etwas anderer Urlaub! Dennoch sehr schön und entspannt. Die 3 Schlafzimmer sind groß und geräumig und alle haben ein separates Duschbad/WC. Auch das Wohn-/Esszimmer sind schön groß. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Der Pool ist angenehm groß so dass man sich auch noch nach einem Ausflugstag schön erfrischen kann. Das ganze Haus ist absolut gegen fremde Blicke geschützt. Wie gesagt, jederzeit wieder!
