Paradise Retreat with private acreage, near the beach and hiking trails

Almost 5,000 square feet in the house and 2 acres of woods and a large private pool for relaxing outside. Spacious layout and lots of living space on main level. Great for entertaining larger families. You will not be disappointed.
Lots of room outside to enjoy. Large heated pool with diving board. Pool is 12 feet deep and has a wide stairs in the shallow end for little kids to play on. Pool is always heated to 82 degrees. There are outdoor games and a Weber gas grill located in the garage. Kitchen is very spacious for a large group, it has a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. No need to worry about putting trash bins out, there is a trash dumpster on site that gets emptied every Monday.
Great hiking trails just a 5 minute walk down the road and the beach is a 10-15 minute walk.

* There is no longer a pool slide due to complications. The diving board is still there. Check to see if pool is open after labor day weekend (weather dependent)

Lots of fall and winter activities close. Perfect weekend getaway!

We stayed for 5 nights. Used the pool daily. We walked to the beach from the house...nice little walk. We went to several nearby beach towns which was wonderful. The location is very good. We feel the cost of the home is a bit too high.

We had a wonderful week together. The home was a perfect space for our family. The pool was a big hit! The pool table provided lots of evening entertainment. We loved the location. It felt very private but also close to the beach and other fun things to do.

West Olive VRBO spectacular

We had a fantastic time. The 6 bedrooms were perfect for our party. The pool was the highlight all week as both kids and adults spent a lot of time swimming. The upstairs deck was equipped with a grill and plenty of seating. On the pool deck there were another 3 tables with additional seating capacity. Also close to the pool was a basketball hoop which also got a lot of use. Inside the pool table was another hit. Everything was wonderful including the weather. Our host was the best. Thanks Jamie.

The house is beautiful and the location is great. The backyard pool was really large and we spent a lot of time in the pool. There were also several very nice beaches nearby. There was a swing in a tree in the front yard that the grandkids loved. My only complaint about the house was that there was never enough seating for the 9 people in our family. There were several rooms but none of them had enough seating for all of us to be in there at the same time. Otherwise, it couldn’t have been better.

Relaxing spot, impeccably maintained

Had such a fun and relaxing time. Great location, can walk to beach or explore trails nearby. One of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. Well appointed and plenty of space to hang out with a group or places to tuck away if you need quiet time. I did not want to leave! Owner communication was seamless, 10 out of 10 recommend

Awesome pool near so much!

Great house with all the basics and an awesome outdoor setup. The kids probably averaged 8 hours a day in the pool! Within 20-30 minutes driving of several cute downtowns, and a mile walk to Lake Michigan (no sidewalk).

Three generations

We have stayed many times in the Lake Michigan area. We enjoyed this house with the beautiful pool and plenty of outdoor space. Our weather wasn’t great, but Holland has many activities to entertain our family. Several beaches close by, many restaurants and a busy downtown area.

Great family vacation

We enjoyed our time at this lovely home. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The pool was perfect because it had a shallow end with very gradual wide steps leading into the deeper end. The only problem we ran into was the house felt cold due to the home owners wishes to keep the thermostat from being touched or changed. But otherwise it was great. Plenty of space for our group of twelve to settle in.

Annual Family Vacation

A great time for all!! The pool was so fun!! 8 adults with 10 children ages 13 years on down to 3 week old. The pool occupied the older kids while the babies and nap takers could do their thing. Plenty of room for all. The pool table was a hit for the older kids. We spent some time at the beach and went for a hike nearby. Plenty of sleeping space. The boys loved the bunk room. The downstairs was accomodating for family with a newborn. Great memories made. Thank you for sharing your home!!!

August 2023 Three Generation trip

What a wonderful week we had with our kids and grandkids (7 adults and 7 kids). The pool was the highlight for the kids, wide steps to play on and the diving board became a goal for them. The bunkroom was perfect for them to all sleep together. Plenty of space to spread out when we were all inside. We loved the large kitchen w/barstools at the counter and the large dining room. There was plenty of storage space for our things. VERY clean!! There are a lot of little touches to make this feel like home, a great place to stay! We also had fun blueberry picking and lake Michigan was not far to go for the afternoon. Thank you Jamie for sharing your home

Best Family Vacation EVER

For years we traveled from N KY to the Outer Banks. We loved it there but decided to try something closer. We lost vacation days with the 13-14 hr drives. My daughter-in-law actually saw this house online. Only about 6 hrs for us. We couldn't have been happier we did. The spacious home is amazing. The pool won out over the beach day we had so we never went back. There are so many things to do around Holland and Saugatuck we didn't even see them all. Great food and shopping! Perfect weather and no Bugs! There are actually 17 in the family but only 12 could go this year and we were so comfortable. Thank you so much!

Lovely Home in the Woods

We had a nice stay at this house in the woods. The pool really made everyone’s day all week long! The house was nice but had a couple quirky maintenance things that could be fixed- I will send the owner a note on these because they are minor and could be easily fixed. Also a word of caution for those with littles: the doors didn’t have a pool alarm so we were constantly nervous/watching the 3 year olds. Otherwise it was really great. Adding the layout of the bedrooms to the listing would be helpful for anyone with multiple small families figuring out how to arrange the sleeping. There were 4 bedrooms on the second floor, one small bedroom on the main level and one bedroom in the basement. The bedrooms were comfortable and we had 14 people who had a great time for the week! It’s about 10 min from Holland so close enough for activities. We picked blueberries nearby, went to a dune buggy ride about an hour north and visited Holland and Saugatuck while we were there. The house was also much more well-stocked with the basics than we expected (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, etc.) We had brought our own but wouldn’t have needed to had we known. So nice little touches like that we’re great!

The Brown Family Reunion

This house was perfect for our extended family! Clean, large, we loved the pool. It was a little cool in the house but the thermostat said "do not change or touch". We loved our stay!

Fabulous!!

As great as the photos were in the listing, they couldn’t do justice to this amazing home! 6 adults, 2 infants, and one nearly 3 year old had so much space to explore and relax. The pool is sparkling, the deck even had an infant swing, and the pool area had plenty of space for family meals. 3 living room areas, a pool table room… unbelievable! Our host was very responsive and made certain we had everything we needed. You won’t be disappointed!!

Beautiful house with terrible neighbors

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had multiple complaints from the neighbors, whom were not aware it was a rental. Don’t plan on staying here if you use foul language, the neighbors will complain. The house was beautiful and the owner was very kind. Very close to town.
