True and Full oceanfront condo with a lanai (balcony) that almost hangs over the beach. See the ponds below where the turtle and the eels want to come and feed. Let the sounds of the sea make you sleep after a day of sightseeing or relaxation. Both the bedroom and living room face the sea, where you can see dolphins all year round and whales in season. Home to central A/C, King bed, tub/shower combo, and outdoor dining.
Hale Kona Kai is an intimate, absolute oceanfront complex of 39 one-bedroom condos. Located on the outskirts of Kona City, it is off the main road providing calm, ocean view relaxation from every device. Located just south of Royal Kona Resort, excellent dining at Huggo's or Don Beachcomber's is a two-minute walk away and other restaurants are just a fun stroll away. The white sand of Honl's Beach is less than a quarter mile south and the Kona Farmer's Market half a mile north.
The complex offers an elevator that provides convenient access for all. On the ocean side, you'll find a heated salt water swimming pool and a grill on the south end of the complex. There are laundry machines available on each level.
Each unit includes designated parking, safe WIFI, & cable TV. Both units, like Lanais, are non-smoking and Hale Kona Kai is non-smoking. Each floor has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Each condo does not have its own washer/dryer.

Great little condo with incredible ocean view! Location is perfect. There are three ABC stores and plenty of places to eat within a few minutes walking distance. There is also a costco right by the airport if you need to stock up though.

Location was great. Overall cleanliness great. The unit needs some updating. Replace the old carpet with wood or vinyl flooring. Replace the old/worn/dirty cushions on couch and indoor chair. The outdoor furniture was better with no cushions so get rid of those (they were ripped anyway). The working air conditioning was wonderful. The balcony and view was amazing. The bed was very comfortable.

The views were fabulous and turtle watching from the room was awesome. Condo very out dated and not very clean. Needs a complete redo inside. Host was very accommodating. Just needs to gut the inside and update.

Overall this is a very nice unit overlooking the ocean, and is within walking distance of Ali'i drive where there are lots of shops and dining options. Check-in and location instructions were easy to follow. I would stay again at this unit.

Fantastic stay
Location is 5 stars! Canāt wait to return someday. Condo has all you need and beach chairs, boogie board, coolers and some snacks were a nice touch. Was nice to have some non perishables in the kitchen as well.

Wonderful!
This place was amazing! You're right on the water, have all kitchen utensils and the started us off with complimentary 100% Kona coffee! We enjoyed most every sunset with wine on the balcony. Best value in Kona.

Multiple stays
Weāve stayed here multiple times because itās easy walking distance to the tourist part of Alliāi Drive. Itās also right on the water and the views are completely unobstructed. Itās an older property, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. That doesnāt bother us at all, and weāll continue to stay here.

The waves break right outside of your patio
The interior might be a bit dated but works fine. The view is breathtaking. We couldāve just sat on the balcony the entire week. I would totally do it again.

Beautiful Ocean View and Great Location!
We enjoyed spending time on the lanai to dine, watch the sunset, and have a nightcap under the moon. The lanai practically hangs out over the lava rocks and the ocean waves are so peaceful. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants including Quinns Almost By the Sea which is a huge Green Bay Packers bar. The building is older but parking is free, there is a gas grill on the property, the kitchen had everything we needed, and you canāt beat the views. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing vacation!
The room was impeccably clean upon our arrival and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The staff was very courteous. It was so peaceful and the views are absolutely fabulous! You are right on the water, the sunsets and sounds of the ocean were amazing! We saw turtles and eels right from the lanai. We were very pleased with our stay here and look forward to staying here again soon. The coffee was great! We will definitely be back soon!
