Large Beachfront Family Home with Heated Pool

This beautiful historic home is located directly on one of the best beaches on Lake Erie. The 200 ft private beach is sandy and features shallow entry. The beach has a bonfire pit and beautiful sunset views. A paddle boat, paddle boards and a canoe are provided. Great for children and families!
This 2 acre treed property features a 3800 sq ft home with gorgeous lakefront views. There is a large heated in-ground pool with lots of deck space and ample seating. In the pool area there is an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Overlooking the lake there is a screened in outdoor room with comfortable seating. A wagon, bikes, lawn games and beach toys are provided.
Inside features a large main level overlooking the lake that includes a living room that provides a workspace; a family room with smart TV, DVD player and an arcade table with 100+ games; and a dining room that seats 14 people. The house is close to the Friendship Trail which is perfect for walking, rollerblading and biking. It is in a great location with a 20 minute drive to Niagara Falls and a 10 minute drive to Buffalo. Grocery stores, Walmart, pharmacies, and the LCBO are all within a 5 minute drive. This property is available for rent year round.

Perfect Summer Stay

My family had another amazing stay! Everything was perfect! So many activities, spending time at the beach & pool, walking along the lake as well as the trails, and lots of lawn to play bocce ball! We love playing games in the screened porch in the evenings!

Lovely sand beach, huge pristine pool, plenty of cooking gear for a multigenerational family. Rooms for multiple activities. It's lakeside living at its best.

Exceeded All Our Expectations!

We were so in awe of the Chopp’s lake house. It was the perfect place for us to gather with our family to view the eclipse. Everything was perfect and hands down, one of the best vacation homes we have ever rented. Can not wait to visit again!!

Siblings and Spouses Trip

This house was perfect for six adults. There were chairs to have a fire on the beach, chairs to sit around and lounge at the pool, and plenty of seating in two living rooms and in the dining room. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms upstairs. We used the kayaks and the paddle board on the lake; up in the yard, we had a friendly cornhole tournament. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is private. It was an easy drive up to the Falls and up to Lake Ontario/Niagara-on-the-Lake (Budapest Bakery is the best). We loved it.

Sisters Stay

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location, loved having our morning tea and coffee on the front patio looking at the lake and listening to the waves, so peaceful! The pool, the beach and walking trails - everything was great! Wonderful place to spend a week with my sisters, we enjoyed catching up and so much laughter! Thanks!

Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Private Beach and Pool

We had an incredible weekend at this house, enjoying its beautiful private beach with soft sand and clear blue water. The large, deep pool provided a great alternative to the beach. Our host was exceptional, providing everything from extra towels to oversized pool floats and firewood for the bonfire. It was an ideal spot for our family to relax and spend quality time together. The house was comfortable and well stocked as well.

Paradise in Fort Erie

Tom and Carrie's rental in one word is phenomenal. The home, the beach, the pool are stunning and on-line pictures do not do justice. This is the second year my family and I vacationed at this property, and leave loving it even more. From the wine and smores left for the adults and children to James, overseeing maintenance / pool, with whom we enjoy our daily chats. We cannot say enough good things about this rental. It's paradise.

Beautiful Beach

Large, well maintained property with beach access and heated pool. Very clean home with all the amenities you would ever need. Responsive owners provided great service with beach grooming and pool maintenance. My only suggestion is that another TV be installed . The kids/teens hung out in the family room every night and it would be nice if adults had the option to watch a movie as well. House has great outdoor amenities/activities depending on good weather .

Elegant Summer home

Together with friends from Texas and Ohio, we Are spent three wonderful, late summer days at this remarkable property. The house itself is a beautiful, 1920s, summer home. It was hard to decide where to spend our time, having to choose between a heated pool, a gorgeous front lawn, and a near perfect beach. Those choices were so compelling that we decided to scrap plans to tour various sites in the region, and spent our time “at home”. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Comfortable, clean, unique!

Super clean,comfortable, and beautiful historical property. The home comes so well equipped, we didn’t want or need for anything. Everything from pool towels to beach toys is provided! We enjoyed the warm waters of crescent beach and loved the shallow water depth for our 2-year old! The large pool was a great addition for the older kids (and us!). We enjoyed delicious delivery from local restaurants as well as restaurants and shops in Crystal Beach. We were able to spend an afternoon visiting Niagara Falls with plenty of time to enjoy the pool and beach at home. We loved the close location to everything, yet the property gives the feeling you’re away from it all. Tom and Carrie were so responsive and kind. Highly highly recommend!

Stately Escape

Each fall, our group of 3 60+ couples gets together for a week / long weekend get-away. This year we decided that we wanted to see Niagara Falls and stay at a place where we could just hang out. The Chopp House definitely fit the bill. We were enthralled by the charm and elegance of this stately manor. We appreciate that many of the original features of the house were preserved - like the servant call system. There are so many cool rooms in this house. We prepared an entire meal on the BBQ and ate it poolside. Ms Pacman was a hit as we remember this from our college days. The beach however, was the star. We spent hours on the beach, just combing, wading and swimming and enjoying spectacular sunsets. The campfire on the beach was also something we will never forget. Tom was a wonderful host. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the grounds and house. He always responded quickly to our questions and needs. We sincerely hope that we will be able to come back again.

An amazing experience

We traveled from Buffalo NY for a family vacation. We were greeted with an incredibly clean and cozy house, one that also has the architectural, and historical charm. The owner, Tom Chopp made sure to stock the house with all the amenities plus more. Tom was available at a moments notice for any questions or concerns. We met courteous James who visited twice daily whose job was to make sure that the pool was sparkling clean. He was very friendly in addition to being available to remedy any issues that came up onsite. The grounds were spacious for bocce ball, croquet or grass tennis. There is a nearby bike path so make sure to pack your bikes. You can ride to Crystal Beach and beyond. The beach in front of the home was clean, quiet and safe from a swimming perspective. Our grandchildren were able to enjoy the warm, clean water, and shallow swimming without having any parental concerns. There is a grocery store and Walmart just a few miles away for shopping. I highly recommend you consider renting this house which is a great escape from the daily stressors.

One word to describe our experience-FANTASTIC

F=Friendly. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by owners, Tom and Carrie Chopp, who were so gracious and down to earth, which ended up being the perfect beginning to our family vacation. This stately, historic, and well decorated beach-front home is located on a a spacious, private, plot of land creating ample privacy for renters. The house is stocked with every amenity you can think of. No need to bring beach toys, beach towels or water floats. They’ve got you covered. A=AMAZING, clean, soft sand, beach with crystal clear water, which is shallow enough for even toddlers to safely venture out into the blue abyss. The picture perfect view from the beach enables visitors to be front and center when it comes to gazing at the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The property also has a large, built in pool behind the house. Soon after our arrival, we met James who is an expert at keeping the pool clean. He was also extremely friendly and helpful when it came to responding to our needs. James made sure we had ample firewood placed on our beach fire pit, with enough chairs to sit 10 people. N=NICELY manicured gardens surround the property which enhances its beauty. T=TRANQUIL. Renters will enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. A=APPEALING, environment. S=SPECTACULAR experience. T=THERAPEUTIC. I=IMPRESSIVE. C=CONVENIENT location, close to stores and Peace Bridge.

Spectacular family vacation!

We couldn’t have asked for a more idyllic setting for our family vacation! From meeting Tom and Carrie when we checked in until the moment we sadly had to leave two weeks later. The home is lived in! So anyone who has ever done a long-term rental, you need to know that this house is E-quipped! You will not miss a gadget, a knife, storage options, spices, etc. in the kitchen!, All you need is to bring your groceries! The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with comfortable bedding throughout. The views from the master bedroom, looking out to the front of the house and the lake were spectacular; especially during a few storms that cropped up during our stay. Speaking of a rainy day, you can enjoy the sounds and sights of a summer storm coming across Lake Erie in the detached sunroom. And even on a rainy day, I can ensure you you will not be bored with a plethora of games provided! The one television in the family room is perfect, removing everybody from their handheld devices, and encouraged everyone to be together watching a movie. The inground pool is heated, and well maintained; thank you, Jamie for greeting us each day as you took care of the pool and the beach! And now talk about the beach, toys! From the canoe, the two paddle boards, huge water, float, and so much more, it is a water sports enthusiast dream! Top that off with the perfect location on the beach for a bonfire equipped with all the tools you need for roasting s’more’s and seating around the fire for 10 people

Idyllic Getaway

Family of eight spent ten days at this property and wished we booked longer. Tom and Carrie greeted us upon arrival and provided a lay of the land. The area is steeped in history which was fascinating to hear. Enjoyed the heated swimming pool, the private beach, the historic house and the endless lawn. Location is extremely private which is exactly what we were looking for. James, charged with maintaining the pool, was courteous and a delight to speak with each day. Highly recommend.

Sisters get away

Everything was perfect. We especially enjoyed the warm pool, the spacious lawn, to sitting at the breath-taking sandy beach, to playing games in the enclosed screen porch. The house has everything needed for a relaxing time away from home.

Great beach house for family vacation

Great home, pool was amazing, plenty of beach toys, bathtub water warm crescent beach. It doesn't get better than this stay. Home has been completely updated including AC and amenities to make entertaining efficient.

The Perfect Spot!!!

This gorgeous property was above & beyond our expectations! Three generations spent a fabulous week enjoying the beautiful beach, pool & grounds. Carrie & Tom met us for a tour when we arrived which was very helpful & informative. There were lots of beach & pool toys for adults & children and also games for playing on the spacious grounds. We would definitely rent this home again!

Wonderful place to reconnect & recharge!

Words and photos cannot capture the magic of this Lakehouse! What a luxury having so much space both inside & out! The pool is large, the beach private, green lawns to practise yoga. We loved playing board games in the screened porch at night. The house was spotless! Hope to be back soon!

Nothing short of Spectacular

I can’t imagine a more bucolic setting then the Chopp’s perfectly updated 100 year old Mansion. Lay on the private beach, under the 150 year old trees or in the 130 year old pool, everyone will instantly feel at home, especially in the various rooms overseeing the lake. Great Guests. Easy communication.

A Wonderful Getaway

This house has a lot of character and is perfectly positioned with easy access to the private pool and private beach. We enjoyed many fires on the beach and appreciated how everything was clean and well stocked. Tom and Carrie are amazing hosts. It is clear that they make every extra effort to ensure the comfort of their guests and have thought of every amenity that guests might need. We highly recommend this property and plan to come back again next summer.
